Sri Gopala Sthavarajam – Sri Narada Pancharathram – Lyrics and meaning

Sri Gopalasthavarajam is highly propitious hymn composed by Sri Narada Rishi, it has Anushtup as Chandhass, presiding deity is Srikrishna Paramathma and it is recited to please Lord Krishna.  I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Krishna who is personified as little cowherd adorned in fresh alluring garlands of Thulsi, he has the complexion of blue waters, he is too compassionate/noble, liberal, generous, he elevated mount Govardhana on his little finger, he takes immense pleasure in playing melodious music on flute, he is the protector of clan of Vraja, he lures the heart of young maidens of Vraja and he takes immense pleasure in the passionate sport with them.


Sri Narada speaks “ I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Krishna who is personified as dearest darling of cowherd/Gopala, he is the source of delight of Ballavi/cowherds, he is Gopala who is the protector of cows and cowherds, he has the complexion of fresh rain clouds, his eyes has the luster of blue lily, his beautiful curly hair locks are adorned in feathers of peacock, he is decked in Vanamala made of flowers of Kadamba and various flowers from the wood, his curly hair locks are beautifully spreaded all over his neck areas, he is decorated in various precious ornaments on his chest, he is decked in magnificent crown decorated in various precious gem that spread intense luster all over, his lips are adorned in flute which produces melodious music that repeatedly lures the heart of young maidens of cowherds, he takes immense delight in consuming the nectar from the faces of young maidens of cowherds, he throw attractive glances with a smile  inorder to curtail their anxiety, he is surrounded by beautiful young maidens of cowherds who are adorned in various ornaments, he takes immense pleasure in the water sport on the black waters of sacred Kalindi river, he leads the cows and cowherds like a warrior and merrily explores through the woods of Vrindavan, he takes immense joy  in exploring through the cool river banks of Kalindhi and shades of Kadamba trees in the sacred land of Vrindavan, he is supreme Lord who is seated on the gem decorated throne positioned under the Kalpavriksha in the middle of golden hall, he takes immense pleasure in the amorous sport with the young maidens of cowherds in the Mount Govardhana which is filled with the fresh alluring flowers of rich fragrances during the spring season, he elevated mount Govardhana on his left hand effortlessly, entire people of Gokulam witnessed the marvelous form of Gopala who passionately plays mesmerizing music on flute, he is Gopala who holds stick  and noose on his hand and lured the heart of people of Vrajamandal, he is eulogized by illustrious Rishis like Narada and Veda and Vedanga, he is Parathpara, whoever recites or listens to these glorious verses praising the splendor of Gopala with intense faith and devotion during the hours of dawn, noon and dusk, would get all their desires fulfilled, worshiper would be blessed with wealth and appropriate companion,  worshiper will remain favorite of all, honorable and blessed with permanent wealth and excellence in speech.”
