Sri Shivananda Lahari !! Lyrics & Its meaning 21 – 30

|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||

Oh! Lord or Lords, Oh! Destroyer of Lord Manmatha who is worshipped by Shivaganas,  I earnestly pray to dwell in my unblemished heart which has the resemblance of lotus flower, which is filled with courage, devotion and dedication, it has the capacity to move according to its will, it has various interests and travels through the path of righteousness.   I sincerely pray to Supreme Lord along with Goddess Sri Parvati to victoriously rule in my heart.

Oh! Lord Thaskarapathey, stealer of the heart of devotees, who is the provider of auspiciousness, my mind has been wandering with immense desires to accumulate wealth and adopted various illicit means to attain the same.  How did I control my mind?  I earnestly pray to show mercy on innocence of me and bring control of my mind on your lotus feet.

Oh! Lord Shiva, I earnestly pray to provide me eternal bliss through the sincere worship of your lotus feet.  Oh! Omnipresent Lord Shankara, who is the provider of happiness, I have not desired for the title of Brahma or Vishnu, if so I may have to wander in the form of a Swan or wild boar all through the Universe in search of you and feel depressed in your absence.

Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, I earnestly pray to protect me and sincerely desired for a place in the Mount Kailash to venerate you, holding my hands above my ahead before the Lord who is majestically seated on the throne of marvelous Gems and stones worshipped by the Ganas.  Oh! Lord of Lords, inseparable from Goddess Sri Parvathi and provider of eternal bliss I would pass a Brahma Kalpa (age of Lord Brahma) in a moment immersed in a state of ecstasy.

Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, who is eulogized by Lord Brahma and the deities and Rishis, surrounded by the playful acts of Ganas, seated on the marvelous celestial vehicle Lord Nandikeshwara/Bull.  The three-eyed and blue throated Lord Shiva, who has deer and the fierce weapon Parasu on each hands respectively and the enthralling physique embraced by Goddess Sri Parvati, when will I could envision you?

Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, who dwells in the mountain, when will I be able to witness your unblemished Lotus feet? When will I have the fortune to carry your lotus feet on my head, eyes and chest? Will I be fortunate enough to gratify my senses with the fragrances of your lotus feet?  When will I have the prospect to embrace the eternal bliss which was not possible even for Lord Brahma?

Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, Oh! Lord Kailasapathi, you have all the prosperities like golden mountains as your possession, the Lord of wealth Lord Kubera is present in your abode, you have all the auspiciousness in your lotus feet, Kalpakavruksham/wish fulfilling tree, Kamadhenu, Chinthamani, etc…You have crescent moon on your matted hair lock showering cooling rays, what shall I offer to you other than my heart.

Oh! Bhavanipathi, consort of Goddess Sri Bhavani, I am getting immense joy of Saroopya Moksha in your worship, I am getting salvation/Sameepya Moksha at your lotus feet when I sing praising your holy names, when I am in the association of passionate devotees of Lord Shiva and listen to their  chant I am attaining Salokhya Moksha, when I envision your glorious form which is the dwelling place of all the creatures in the Universe I am attaining Sayujya Moksha, eventually I am obtaining all those Janma Saphalyas/desires fulfilled in this life.

Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, who is all-pervading I venerate your lotus feet and immerse in your thought.  Oh ! Lord Jagadeesha, I surrender to you, I worship you with my humble words.  Oh! Lord Shambu, I earnestly pray for your compassionate glance which is highly desired by the deities.  Oh! The great preceptor! Provide me the knowledge of eternal bliss.

Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, who has crescent moon on the matted hair lock, master of the Universe, Preceptor of the three worlds, if I have the capacity to adorn you with enchanting clothes like thousand-handed Lord Surya, If I have the capacity to worship you with thousands of lotus flowers like Lord Vishnu, If I have the capacity to spread the enthralling fragrances of you like Lord Vayu, If I have the capacity to offer bog/ cooked rice with the help of Lord Surya by deities,  If I have the capacity to offer marvelous vessels for the ritual created by Hiranyagarbha, I would have performed the veneration with utmost dedication and devotion.
