Sri Lakshmi Narayana Dhyana Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Lakshminarayana who carries divine wheel, Vidhya/sacred scriptures, varadha hastha, ghadam/golden vessel, mace, dharpannam, and lotus flowers in eight hands, he has supreme luster of dark clouds and lightning on left and right halves of his body respectively, he is charismatic, he is attired in majestic yellow garments, I shall earnestly pray to protect us.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Lakshminarayana who is wielded in Shankha/conch, Chakram/wheel, Gadha/mace, Padmam/lotus flower, Kalasham/golden vessel,  Pusthakam/sacred scriptures, in eight hands, he has the luster of dark clouds and lightening on each halves of his body.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Lakshminarayana who is the provider of Sathvaguna, he has the luster of dark clouds and lightening as well, dwells and reflects as supreme brilliance in the heart of virtuous people.


I shall meditate upon supreme Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is seated on the lotus flower in Padmasana posture, she has attractive limbs, her  attractive eyes has the  resemblance to lotus flower, she has dazzling navel and its surrounding places, she has high raised bosom that causes little bend on forefront, she is attired in white majestic garments, she is decked in various precious ornaments all over her body, she is soaked in the holy water poured out from the golden vessels by the divine Gajendhras /elephants on both the sides, she carries lotus flowers in her three hands, she is the symbol of all the auspiciousness, I shall earnestly pray for her eternal presence in our lives too.  I shall meditate upon supreme Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who has the complexion of crimson color, she is the symbol of beauty, she dwells in lotus flower, she is decked in marvelous crown, and various ornaments on ear, shoulder, arms, chest, and waist.  She carries golden lotus flowers, she is surrounded by numerous young maidens, and she is the darling of Sharngapani/who is wielded in divine bow Sharngam.  I shall meditate upon supreme Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who carries lotus flowers, she has four hands and two hands are in Abhaya Varadha hastha posture/which providers shelter and various boons respectively, she has the luster of precious yellow metal, she is decked in magnificent gem decorated crown, she is attired in majestic silk clothes and smeared in  rich aromatic sandal paste, she is decked in various precious ornaments all over her body, she has beautiful  smile in her lotus like face, she is worshiped by all the deities, her eyes has the resemblance to lotus flower, she resides in the lotus like heart of Lord Padmanabha, I shall earnestly pray to shower her eternal presence in our lives.
