meditate upon Sri Garuda who is the celestial vehicle of Lord Vishnu, I shall
earnestly pray to Garuda to protect my head, I shall earnestly pray to
Vinathasutha who is the son of Devi Vinatha to protect my forehead, I shall earnestly pray
to Sarpaha who is the enemy of serpents, to protect my eyes, I shall earnestly
pray to Surarchitha who is worshiped by Suras to protect my ears, I shall earnestly pray to Sarpari who is the
enemy of serpents to protect my nose, I
shall earnestly pray to Vishnuvahana who is the celestial vehicle of Lord
Vishnu to protect my face, I shall
earnestly pray to Suryasuthanuja who is younger brother to Suryasutha to
protect my throat, I shall earnestly pray to Mahabhala who is mighty to protect
my arms, I shall earnestly pray to Khageshvara who is the chief of the birds to
protect my hands, I shall earnestly pray to Arunakrithi who has the effulgence
of Aruna to protect my fingers, I shall earnestly pray to Nakhayudha who has sharp nails as weapon to
protect my nails, I shall earnestly pray to Mukthiphalapradha who is the
provider of liberation from repeated births to protect my armpit and inner
parts of the body, I shall earnestly pray to Vihaga who is King of birds to protect my bosom, I shall earnestly pray to
Sarvadha who is all-bestowing to protect my heart, I shall earnestly pray to Mahatheja who has
great radiance to protect my navel, I
shall earnestly pray to Sudhakara who symbolizes nectar to protect my waist
line, I shall earnestly pray to Mahaveera to protect my thighs, I shall
earnestly pray to Chandavikrama who is extremely valorous to protect my knee
joints, I shall earnestly pray to Dhundhayudha who has sharp beak as weapon to
protect my shank/calves, I shall earnestly pray to Vishnuratha who is sincerely
devoted to supreme Lord Vishnu to protect my ankles, I shall earnestly pray to
Suparnna who has large wings to protect my feet, I shall earnestly pray to Tharkshaya
who is divine personified as King of bird to protect my fingers on feet, I
shall earnestly pray to Veera who is fearless to protect my Romakoopa/pores on
the skin, I shall earnestly pray to Bhayapaha who eradicates extreme fears and
anxieties to protect my skin. Theses are
the glorious verses Sri Garuda Vajra Pancharika, capable to eradicate all the
sins of the worshiper, it fulfills all
the desires of the worshiper, whoever reads or listens to these marvelous
verses during the hours of dawn would be relieved from the toxic poisons,
whoever reads these verses during the hours of dawn, noon and dusk would be
relieved from worldly bondage, whoever reads or listens to this verses for
twelve times would be freed from enemies, whoever reads or listens to this
verses for a week would be relieved from sins, guilt, and diseases. The Vajra Panchara Kavacham praising the splendor
of Garuda is highly propitious hymn which is capable to liberate the worshiper
from the worldly existence.
