I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Vishnu who has embodied as giant fish in order to protect the Vedas, he has embodied as Koorma/giant tortoise while churning the milky ocean for nectar of immortality, he has embodied as Varaha/wild boar in order to protect Veda from the demon Hiranyaksha, he has personified as Vamana/dwarf who was son of Sage Kashyapa and Adhithi, and measured the whole Universe with the three strides, he is Janardhana who is the protector of Universe and its living beings, he is Govinda who destroys sins of the worshiper, he is Pundareekaksha who has beautiful eyes resembles to  lotus flower petals, he is Madhava who is beloved consort of Goddess Mahalakshmi, he is Madhusoodhana who is the slayer of demon Madhu, he is Padmanabha who has lotus flower on navel, he is Sahasraksha who  has thousands of eyes, he is Vanamali who is adorned in garlands of fresh alluring flowers from the woods,  he has personified as Balarama who holds plough as weapon, he is Govardhana who elevated Mount Govardhana with his little finger, he is Hrishikesha who gives pleasure to senses, he is Vaikunda who resides in the supreme abode of Sri Vaikundham, he is Purushoththama who is flawless, he is Vishwaroopa who has colossal form that represents Universe and its living beings, he is Vasudeva who is unconquerable, he has personified as Rama who was born in the illustrious clan of Rghu, he is Narayana who reclines on the serpent Ananatha in milky ocean, he is Hari, he is Damodhara who got fastened with the rope on stomach by Devi Yasodha, he is Sreedhara who holds Goddess Mahalakshi on chest, his limbs represents Veda and he is the essence of Veda, he has King of birds as celestial vehicle, he is Anantha who is eternal, he has personified as little cowherd Krishna, he is Gopala who is the protector of cow and cowherds.


||Sri Parashurama Ashtavimshathi ||


I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Vishnu who has personified as Parashurama/Bhargavarama/Jamadhagnya, in order to reduce the burden of Earth, he represents Lord Janardhana, he is the cause for creation, preservation and destruction of Universe and its living beings, he is Bhargavarama who was born in the illustrious clan of Bhrigu, he is Jamadhagnya who is the son of Sage Jamadhagni, he sincerely follow vows of his father, he brought back his mother’s life, he symbolizes wealth, good fortune, and auspiciousness, he killed the haughty and arrogant Kshathriyas, he is Prabhu who is wielded in powerful weapon Parashu/Parashurama, he crushed the haughtiness of Karththaveerya, he destroyed the miseries and sorrows of Devi Renuka, he is void of sorrows or pain, he destroys miseries and grief, he has the luster of freshly bloomed blue lotus flower, his eyes are blood red in color, he has dreadful appearance too, he is decked in Danda, he is extremely valorous, he strictly follows Bhramanic rites, he is beloved of Bhramin/twice born, he undertakes extreme austerities and penance, he crushed the pride of Mahendhra, he is serene, he is eulogized by Siddha, Gandharva, and Charana, I shall repeatedly prostrate before Lord Parashurama who eradicates Janma/birth, Mrithyu/unexpected and accidental death, Jara/aging, Vyadhi/illnesses, Dhukha/sorrows, grief, anxieties, Shoka/ depression, Bhaya/extreme fears etc..


I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Vishnu who has personified as Jamadhagnya/son of Sage Jamadhagni, he was born in the  illustrious clan of Bhrigu, he is extremely valorous and undertake severe penances, he is Bhargavarama who is supreme ascetic, he destroyed the clan of wicked Kshathriyas, he is wielded in powerful axe, he has performed homage to ancestors with the blood of wicked Kshathriyas,  and various fire sacrifices, he identified vast land on the seashore, he reduced the burden of Earth by killing the wicked Kshathriyas.
