I shall prostrate before supreme Lord
Shiva who has glorious five faces known as
Eshana, Thathpuruha, Aghora, Vamadeva and Sadhyojatha, he is Universal
monarch, he is the commander of thousands and millions of Bhramanda, he is
worshiped with the prescribed rites of Kalikagamashasthras, he is universal
spirit, he has great stature, he is foremost, he has eight arms, he is
Bhramachrin who follows strict austerities, he is absolute Bhramam, he is
worshiped by Vidhyadhara and deities, he is the destroyer of enemies, he is
worshiped by all the deities, he is virtuous and merciful, he is omniscient, he
symbolizes Purusha, and Parambhramam as
well, he is adorned in stars and planets as garlands, he has unique eyes, he is
decked in trident, he symbolizes three Vedas, he has Surya, Soma and Agni as
three eyes, he has personified as Veerabadhra, he is adorned in serpent as
ornaments, he has eight glorious forms as Sharva, Bhava, Rudra, Ugra, Bheema,
Pashupathi Mahadeva and Eshana, he has
thousands of eyes, he has won over death, he has tawny brown complexion, he is
attired in skin of elephant, he holds
Kapala, he eradicates evil effects of Kali era, he has the loveliness of
thousands and millions of Kamadeva, he is fond of being worshipped with
Kadhamba flowers, he performs glorious cosmic dance at the end of the Yuga
which causes mass destruction, he has Vrishabha as celestial vehicle, he has
personified as Vidhyadhara, he is wise, skillful, and most celebrated deity, he
is eulogized by Veda, he eradicates birth, death, aging and illnesses, he is
Lord of wealth, he is pure, he is supreme consciousness, he is supreme
bliss, he has glorious face as Sadhyojatha,
he is fond of being eulogized by Samaveda, he imparts the knowledge of
Bhramam/self-realization, realization of Athman, he is the cause for creation,
preservation and destruction of the Universe and its living beings, he
symbolizes all the philosophies, he has thousands of feet, he is perceivable
through intense meditation and silence, he is pure, he is beyond human
intellect, he is beyond properties, he
is beloved of Guha, he eradicates wicked enemies, he destroys immoral acts, he
is watchful, he eradicates sufferings of poverty, he is eulogized by
illustrious Sanakadhis, he symbolizes five essential elements, he is highly
confidential, he is absolute truth, he undertakes extreme austerities and
penance, he imparts the knowledge in greatest philosophies, he symbolizes fire
sacrifices, he provides the fruit of successful completion of fire sacrifices,
he is Lord of Siddhaganas, he resides in Ravimandala, Vahnimandala, and Somamandala, he is perceivable through
the recitation of Shruthi, he has established the four Varnna known as Bhramin,
Kshathriya, Vaishya and Shudra, he has personified as twice-born, he is beloved
of Goddess Gayathri, he is a great illusionist, he is extremely valorous, he is
clever and has great stature, he has great arms, he is supreme bliss, he
represents Mahendhra, he is beyond description, intellect and mind, he is
perceivable through wisdom and knowledge, he is Lord of directions, he is
beyond senses, he represents Upanishadhs, he is perceivable through intense
meditation and faith, he is worshiped by Suras and Asuras, he symbolizes
piousness, he is Sadhashiva who is supreme bliss, he is eloquent, he is
Universal preceptor, he is the essence of Veda and sixty four art forms, he
represents Manthra/sacred hymns and Thanthric rites, he is Lord of Universe, he
is powerful and extremely heroic, he imparts knowledge in the faith of Lord Shiva, he is adorned in crimson
colored fresh alluring flower garlands, he is smeared in red sandalwood paste,
he is attired in crimson colored garment, he represents Swadha , Swaha, time
and fraction of time, quarter of day and time, dawn, noon and dusk, he is Lord
of medicines, he is fond of being in the association of intellectuals, wise,
and learned, he is Shambhava, he is
worshiped by Lord Vishnu who holds disc, he is the protector of whole worlds,
he eradicates impurities like ego, lust, desire, anger, pride, jealous etc.. he
is void of passion or lust, he has wielded in golden Mount Meru as bow, he is
self-manifested, he symbolizes bliss, joy, happiness, prosperity etc.. he has
supreme virility, he symbolizes wealth and opulence, he is wrathful, he has
numerous incarnations, he is highly confidential and even the Vedanthas are
incompetent to describe him, he guides us through the righteous path, he
crushed the pride of wicked demons, he is adorned in crescent moon on
reddish-brown matted hair locks, he has won over death, he is fond of being
worshiped with fresh alluring flowers of Mandhara, he is charismatic, he
symbolizes supreme cure, he liberates the soul from repeated births, he
represents Sathvik, Rajasik, and Thamasic nature, he establishes Chathuryuga
such as Krithayuga, Threthayuga, Dwaparayuga and Kaliyuga, and carries out the
functions of these four Yugas, he is Lord of Yogis, he is Lord of Universe and
its living beings, he is the source of food grains, he is the essence of
Pranava, he is divine personified, he is Mahayogi, he is imperturbable, he
talks pleasingly, he destroys enemies, he is supreme cure for the illusions of
the worldly existence, he is the protector of distressed and desolate people,
he is supreme wisdom and knowledge, he is Lord Gangadhara who is adorned in
sacred river on matted hair locks, he is beloved of passionate devotees, he is
omnipresent, he is the commander of Ganas, he destroyed the fire sacrifice of
Dhakshaprajapathi, he is Lord of
Dhaithyas, he is worshiped by illustrious Rishis and Sages, he symbolizes the
meanings of Veda ,Vedhantha and greatest philosophies, he eradicates extreme
fears of worldly existence, he is unblemished, he is safest heaven to people
who are surrendered at his lotus feet, he is void of impurities, he eradicates
accidental or unexpected deaths, he is beloved of Lord Nandhikeshvara, he is
ocean of mercy, he is eulogized by all Agamashasthras, he has fierce form, he
is Lord of senses, he has supreme radiance, he is void of birth, death, aging,
illnesses etc.. he has neither beginning nor end, he eradicates worldly bondage
of worshiper, he illuminates the whole Universe with supreme wisdom and
knowledge, he eradicates miseries, grief and perils of worshiper, he is
wrathful and auspicious too, he is the cause for creation of Universe and its
living beings, he has most desirable form, he eradicates miseries and
nightmares of the worshiper, he eradicates all the illnesses of the worshiper,
he undertakes extreme austerities and vows, he purify the intellect of the
worshiper, he is the source of Bhukthi and Mukthi, he is beyond illusion, he
produces boisterous voices, he eradicates bondage of worldly existence, he is
store house of endless virtues, he eradicates root cause of ignorance of the
worshiper, he is Lord of living beings, he eradicates extreme fears and
anxieties of the worldly existence, he has bluish throat, he is the source of
welfare, happiness, and wealth, he eradicates mountain sized sins of the
worshiper, he is wielded in Kheda, Bana, Ganda, Vethala, Kapala, Damaru and
Kalagni, he is decked in garland of skull, he is worshiped by Lord Jagannatha,
he is fond of being worshiped with the flowers of Mandhara, Vilva, Champeya,
and Kalhara, he is worshiped by Kings and Emperors, he is seated on the gem
decorated throne, he is smeared in highly fragrant musk and scents, he is
worshiped by Deva Siddha and Gandharva, he has attractive shell shaped neck, he
is the source of happiness in the Universe, he is enemy of Kamadeva and demons
of Thripura, he symbolizes auspiciousness, he eradicates depression, sorrow,
memory loss, and all the illnesses
related to intellect, he is Vaidhyanatha who is supreme cure for all the illnesses,
he is smeared in sacred ashes all over the body, he eradicates all the miseries
and sorrows of the worshiper, he is wielded in weapon Shakthi, he has
personified as twleve Bhairava known as Asithangabhairava, Rudrabhairava,
Chandabhairava, Krodhabhairava, Unmaththabhairava, Kapalabhairava,
Bheeshanabhairava, Samharabhairava, Swarnnakarshanabhairava,
Vashyakarshanabhairava, Badavanalabhairava, and Shoshanabhairava, he eradicates
three kinds of severest sins of the worshiper, he holds colossal fire, he has
attractive reddish-brown matted hair locks, he is Lord of Ganas, he has bluish
throat, he symbolizes triumph, he has
colossal form, he is adorned in venomous serpent as ornaments all over the
body, he has pleasant disposition, he is Rudra, he resides in the middle of
Surya and Somamandala, I shall repeatedly prostrate before the lotus feet of
supreme Lord Shiva who has personified as Aghoramoorthi, Hail to supreme Lord
Shiva as Aghoramoorthi !
