Sri Sanath Sujatheeyam – Sri Mahabharath – Sri Shankarabhashyam

Chapter – 10 –  Bhashyam – 15- Dhvaitha is Pramadha

Bhagavan Manu says “ The highest of the knowledge is the awareness of the all-pervasive Bhramam resides as soul, it has neither birth nor death, it is free from afflictions, and impurities, it is unblemished and pure, hence the Athmajjana is the superior knowledge. The knowledge of the Bhramam is superior among Sakalavidhya as well, the Athmajjana provides the immortality/Amrithaththva, the Jeeva crosses the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence with the knowledge of ‘self’/Athman, get relieved from interests in worldly matters and bondage, and fear of Mrithyu as well, it is the Janmasaphalya/fruitfulness of life of the twice-born, without this knowledge a Jeeva does not achieve the status of a twice-born, none of the Karma or Gnana would provide the Bhramanathvam other than the Athmajjana/oneness-in-All, it is the only source for the Paramapurusharththa Prapthi. Therefore the Jeeva should understand that the supreme Bhramam, that Paramathma Parambhramam resides as the soul is eternal bliss. The Shruthi affirms “The fearless and courageous Bhramin/twice-born should constantly strive to achieve that Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in Jeeva, the study and research/ Anusandhana of various texts and syllables would create false perceptions. The ‘Athman’ has no duality, it is supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in Jeeva, it is eternal. If the Jeeva understood the supreme knowledge of that Bhramam, there is nothing left to learn or understand.”

Bhagavan Vasudeva speaks “The illusion causes desire, emotions, passions, interest in worldly matters, richness, money, wealth, fame, and attachment to people and these have fleeting nature. Therefore retrieve the Indhriyas/sense from the momentary happiness and pleasures, and invest the mind and intellect in the absolute bliss who resides as soul/ Paramathma Paramhramam.” It is considered as the essence of all the scriptures and Veda/ Sarvashasthrasangraham.
