Chapter – 1 – Sri Guru Gita – 1 – 10
Lord Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Parvathi, I shall
describe the places to be chosen to recite in order to achieve the
piousness 1) seashore, and river banks 2) The temples of Lord Shiva or Vishnu
or any other deities 3) cowshed or any worship places 4) shades of Vatavruksha,
Peepal, Amla, Vilwa, Jabalavruksha, mango trees, and any auspicious trees 5)
Mutt or the places where the Sadhakas assembled 6) gardens or any sanctified
place and 7) funeral grounds are considered as an auspicious place to conduct the
Japa. The recitation of sacred hymns of Guru Gita conducted after the
performance of daily rite and sun worship, it should be recited silently to
achieve the Japasidhdhi, and Phalasidhdhi as well. It should not be recited in
the places where immoral activities take place or unsanctified. I shall
describe the color of seats to be chosen before reciting the Manthraraja, 1)
The yellow seat is preferred to perform the Mohanakarma 2) The black seat is preferred
to perform the Abicharakarma 3) The white seat is preferred to perform
Shubhakarma/Shanthikarma 4) The red seat is preferred to perform the
Vasheekarana Karma. Oh! Devi, the recitation of Guru Gita should be carried out
by the disciple who has received Manthradheeksha from the preceptor, they qualified
to recite and achieve the Sarvasidhdhi. It is highly recommended to recite
during the hours of travel, at the time of troubles in the Warfield, it would
remove all the troubles such as the fear of death, and provides Mukthi as well.
The Sadhaka who has taken shelter at the lotus feet of the preceptor is considered
as Guruputhra/son of the preceptor, therefore any Manthras recited or the
Karmas performed sincerely by the disciple would earn fruitful results. The
Thaththvajjani/Mumukshu constantly takes a dip in the blissful ocean of Guru Gita
to get rid of Ashtapasha, and Bhavamoolavinashana/destroy the root cause of
worldly existence, get rid of interest in worldly matters and bondage, I and
body-consciousness, and impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha and
Mathshcharya, and achieves the serenity of mind.”
