Sri Guru Gita – Sri Skandhapuranam Uththarakhanda Umamaheshwara Samvadham – The preceptor is the all-pervasive Bhrama, Vishnu, and Shiva

Chapter - 6 – Sri Guru Gita – 51 – 60

Lord Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Devi, the Mumukshu serve the Preceptor sincerely with the mind, deeds, and words, they make all efforts to please the preceptor, it is essential that the disciple should abandon pride and arrogance, and fall straight/Dheergha Dhandam at the lotus feet of the preceptor and worship him. The Mumukshu surrender his sense/Karma and Gnanendhriyas, Prana, wealth, possession, richness, money, families, and relatives in the service of the preceptor. There is no one superior to Guru, he is Bhrama Vishnu Shivathmaka represents the all-pervasive Bhramam, hence the preceptor is most venerable. The preceptor represents the Shirorathna/precious jewel adorn on the crown, of Sarva Shruthi, imparts the knowledge of Vedantha and its meanings to his disciple, hence he is most venerable. The sincere worship at the lotus feet of the Preceptor and the mere remembrance of Guru would bring an abundance of piousness and provides wisdom as well. Oh! Devi, the body is the dwelling place of plenty of worms, and a bundle of secrets. It is a component made of Shleshma/Phlegm, Raktham/blood, Thvacha/skin, and Mamsa/meat. I shall prostrate before the supreme Preceptor who protects the Jeeva from the vicious cycles of rebirth, Oh! Devi, it is preordained fact that all living and non-living things in the Prapancha/Samasaravruksha, heave to the ocean of hell, the Preceptor protects the Jeeva from hurling into the vicious cycles of rebirth, by imparting the knowledge of Parmarththa/the knowledge of self’, indestructible Purusha /Paramathma resides as soul, the destructible nature of Prakrithi, and remove the interest in worldly matters and bondage. I shall prostrate before the supreme Preceptor who represents Bhrama, Vishnu, and Shiva. He is that all-pervasive Bhramam free from afflictions and impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, he is pure, unblemished, and supreme bliss. I shall prostrate before the supreme Preceptor who cures the blindness like ignorance in the disciple and imparts the knowledge of supreme Purusha who resides as soul, and Mayaswaroopini Prakrithi, he applies the ink of wisdom on the eyes of disciple and makes the life of the Jeeva fruitful. Oh! Devi, I shall prostrate before the supreme Preceptor who introduces 1) The universe and its living and non-living things initiated are from the supreme Purusha with the influence of Mayaswaroopini Prakrithi, 2) the Parmarththa Thaththva of ‘Oneness-in-all’, 3) and all those living and non-living things are nothing but Bhramam.”
