Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh!
Kosaladheesha, Oh! Jagadeesh who is promising to the Universe, the storehouse of
virtues, personified as Dhasharathnandhan and performed various amusements, for
the welfare of the Universe destroyed the wicked demons and reduced the burden
of the Earth. Oh! Bhagavan, your glorious myths are sung in praise by the Veda,
Munigana, Adhishesha, Shukhadev, Shiva, Sanakadhis, Santhvrindh Bhakthavrindh, etc. you have incarnated as giant fish in order to protect your devotees during
the Mahapralaya, you represent Yajja, Yajjakarththa, Yajjabhoktha, and you are
the provider of the fruit of Yajja as well. Oh! Bhagavan, you have assumed the
form of wild boar, and protected mother Earth from the clutches of a huge demon
Hiranyaksha, Oh! Murari, you have assumed the form of a giant tortoise, and
hold the Mount Mandharachala on your back, and protected from tilting while
churning the ocean for the nectar of immortality by the Deva and Dhanava, and you
have felt comforting, the movement of Mount Mandhara on your back. Oh! Bhagavan,
the several precious things initiated while Samudramanthan, such as Amrith,
Kamadhenu, Lakshmi, Ucchaishravas, Varuni, Kausthubha, Chandrama, etc. you have
allocated the precious things to the deities and made them happy. Oh! Bhagavan,
you have assumed the form of half lion and half man/Nrisimha, you have killed the demon Hiranyakashipu and
removed the grief of Munigana, Siddha, Bhakthavrinda, Devatha, Naga, Bhraman, etc. you have destroyed the wicked demon who tarnished the Dharma by
assuming Athulitha Balishali Nrisimha and protected your sincere devotee Prahlada. Oh! Bhagavan, you have incarnated
as Vatu Vamana, born to Devi Adhithi and Kashyapa, you have crushed the pride
of demon Bali, and measured the whole Universe in three strides. You have
purified the three worlds with your feet, and the sacred river Ganga who rushed
to wash your feet was safely locked in the matted hair locks of Lord Shiva. You
have provided Pathaloka to Bali and the three worlds to Lord Indra, in this way
you have removed the grief of Devi Adithi. Oh! Bhagavan, you have incarnated as
Bhrigunandhan Parashurama who resembles a ferocious lion and killed several
haughty Kshathriyas Saharabhahu like
untamed elephants and provided an abundance of charities to Bhramana, you were
most promising like rain clouds to Brahmanas. You have incarnated as
Dhasharathanandhan Rama and you have freed the Earth from the harassment of
Dhashakanda with powerful twenty hands. I shall prostrate before
Rajarajeshwara Lord Sri Ramachandra, who sieved off ten heads and twenty hands
of a powerful demon and destroyed his entire clan. Oh! Bhagavan, you are Shudhdha Parambhrama
Paramathma resides as a soul in the Jeeva, you have no specific appearance, free
from afflictions, pure and unblemished, even after all these, you have assumed
the form of an ordinary Jeeva and performed various amusements to reduce the burden of the Earth and provide bliss to your devotees. Oh! Bhagavan, you have
incarnated as Nandhanandhan Yasodhanandhan Sri Krishna, and provided delight to
the Vrishnikula, you are the Chandhrama which is the source of delight to the lotus-like clan of Vrishni, you are Radhikapathi, and you resemble blazing fire to
the Kamsaroopi Vruksha. Oh! Bhagavan, you have incarnated as Buddha who is
Shudhdhagnanaroopi, when the whole Earth was troubled by the Pankhanda Yajjadhi
Karmakandaroopi Maya, you have enlightened the soul with the
Athmajjana/oneness-in-All, I shall prostrate before that supreme Lord who has
incarnated as Shudhdhabodhaswaroopa, Vijjanaghana Sarvagunasampanna, Ajanma,
Kripalu, Buddha. Oh! Bhagavan, the evil effects of the Kali era have destroyed the serenity and purity of mind of the Jeeva. You will be taking birth as son Kalki
of twice-born Vishnuyash, and you will be the bright Sunlight that would
destroy the Mleccharoopi darkness in the Moharoopi night. Oh! Natha, I am
Tulasidas, kindly remove the miseries and sorrows of worldly existence, and
protects me.”
