Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The significance of devotion

Chapter -43 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  - The significance of devotion

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mind, take great pleasure in the service of Lord Sri Ramachandra who is flawless, you have no knowledge in Paramarththa Thaththva, and you have no capabilities to learn from others, you are dispassionate like the rock. Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra resides in the lotus-like hearts of Muni, Yogi, Santhvrindh, and Bakthavrindha who constantly engages in meditation and contemplation, he is Matha and Pitha to his sincere devotees, he is the ocean of mercy, he has pleasant nature, friendly to everyone, therefore everyone loves him dearly. The Veda and scriptures affirm that Lord Ramachandra is the Lord of Lords, the supreme Lord Raghunatha is the all-pervasive Bhramam personified as the son of King Dhasharatha. Oh! Mind, practice intense devotion and faith upon Lord Sri Ramachandra, he is Sarvajja, he is the knower of all, he is supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva who is the sole witness of the deeds of the Jeeva. The extreme austerities and Tapasya Sadhanas, Shamadhamadhis are difficult to perform in the Kali era, there is the only way to please the Supreme Lord, that is intense devotion and love at the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra. The selfless service to Lord and service to his devotees is considered the highest form of devotion. The Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra is too kind to his devotees, he could not bear the troubles and sufferings of his devotees, immediately fulfills all that desired by his devotees, after all these, he never gets satisfied with the boons showered upon his devotees. Whoever achieves the grace of the Supreme Lord would get relieved from the shackles of worldly existence and bondage, constant miseries and sufferings, and the vicious cycles of repeated births as well. The Supreme Lord Ramachandra resemble Kalpavruksha with several succulent fruits, the splendor of this divine tree is whoever stands underneath the tree yearning for boons would get fulfilled all their wishes, these boons are like the succulent fruits cannot be sold or cannot be stored for long, hence, always ask for Ananyabhakthi as a boon. Oh! Mind, there are no words to describe the Karunanidhan Rajadhiraj Sri Ramachandra.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Mind, Lord Sri Ramachandra is most promising and kind to his devotees, he does not remember the sins and wickedness of his devotees, he always showers boundless compassion and love upon his devotees. There is no deity superior to Lord Sri Ramachandra, and there is no hopeless Jeeva like me. The whole world speaking highly that I am the sincere servant/slave of Lord Sri Ramachandra, and I sincerely wish for it, even though I am not deserved to be mentioned as the sincere servant of Lord, I am aware that it is a grave sin, despite all these, Lord Sri Ramachandra is kind as always. Oh! Tulsi, the seeds deposited on the Earth grow absorbing the water content from the sand, but the water does not kill the seed instead boost the plant to grow healthy.”
