Chapter
- 113 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ramanama is
the safest ferry to cross the ocean of Samsara
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “I have no words
about any of the austerities, other than the Sadhana of the practice of recitation
of ‘Ramanama’. In this Kali era, all the Sadhana have become laborious, lost
their purity and dedication, hence all those laborious Sadhanaroopi Vruksha could
provide the Parishramaroopi fruit only, moreover, the Sadhana requires time and
its strenuous, in the end, it is difficult to achieve any fruitfulness out of
it. The Jeeva who feels contented in Japa, Theertha, Thapa, Vratha, Dhana,
Yajja, continues the same without yearning for the fruitfulness out of it, sadly all
the Karma brings the fruit of it, along with the Ahamkara and Mamakara. The
Vedathrayi/Upasana Kanda, Karmakanda, and Moksha/Gnana Kanda, highly eulogizes
the austerities, Japa, Thapa, austerities, Swadhaya, Athmavichara performed for
Eshwararththa, unfortunately, the Karma Kanda does not provide the fruit of it
in the Kali era. The performance of Yajja and Japa performed according to the
rites prescribed in the scriptures won’t bring its fruitfulness in the Kali
era, the practice of Yoga which is the fruit of Sidhdhisadhana do not provide
fruitfulness not even in the dreams, instead, it brings various ailments, even
death to the Karmi because of the absence of the perfect knowledge of Kriya. The
impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya destroyed the
source of Gnana/wisdom and Vairagya/renunciation, even after taking up the
Sanyasa the mind and intellect remain devious, same as the water-filled in the
raw mud pot that has no use. There are several sects and it has own belief
systems, the intellectuals get into heated arguments and debate to prove their sect’s
superior to all. My preceptor instructed me to follow the ‘Ramanama’, which is
the royal path to achieve liberation from the sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Tulsi,
the Ramanama is the safest ferry to cross the sufferings of Samsara, any
Sadhana without belief and love at the lotus feet of Lord Raghunath would not
provide fruitfulness. Oh! Jeeva, whoever wants to cross the unfathomable ocean
of Samsara gets into the ferry of ‘Ramanama’.”
