Chapter – 123 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – Ramanama Mahima – The evilness of Kali era
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, the
recitation of Ramanama would cleanse the mind and intellect, it would remove
the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and
Mamakara. In this Kali era, the practice of Yoga and Yajja has become
fruitless, because of the impurities of the place, doer, and the ingredients,
hence practicing the same would be like holding the portrait of the Surya to
get remove the darkness. The Karma/performance of rites has become the same as the
tree full of flowers, but cannot yield any fruits, in addition to it the Dhamba,
Lobha, and Moha have multiplied, hence the whole purpose of Karmic rites becomes
worthless. In the Kali era, the Moksha Sadhana Gnana became the livelihood of
the Jeeva. In this way, Karma, Gnana, and Sadhana have become impure and have
become the livelihood for the Jeeva. The practice of austerities, Yoga, Shamadhamadhi
has become almost impossible, the Vairagya and Gnana have become manipulated
with the embellished words. The long hours of lectures and debates have become
unfruitful, all those preached remain unpracticed, there are crores of
Pankhanda reaped in the practice of Bhakti, Gnana, and Vairagya as well. The
living style and the lectures have become disproportionate, everyone started to
follow their mind voices and observe austerities whatever they feel apt for
them. Oh! Jeeva, the glorious Ramanama continues to remain unpolluted in the
several Yugas, and the scriptures emphasize the magnificence of Ramanama. Lord Mahadeva whispers this glorious chant on
the ears of the Jeeva who leaves the mortal coil in the Anandhavan Kashi, in
this way, the Jeeva gets liberated from the Karya, Karana, Sookshma Shareera.
Lord Mahadeva disperse the glorious Ramanama to the Jeeva on the riverbank of
Kashi Dharmabhoomi. Lord Mahadeva
preaches the glories of the Ramanama and practices the same. Oh! Jeeva, practice
the recitation of Ramanama and invest your mind and intellect in it, take pleasure
in the recitation of Ramanama and take shelter in it, this is the only one
Sadhana could liberate the Jeeva from the sufferings of the Samsara and vicious
cycles of rebirth. Oh! Tulsi, take shelter in the Ramanama, and have faith and
pure devotion in it, definitely Lord Sri Ramachandra would shower compassionate
grace on his devotees.”
