Chapter
– 50 - Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – The life of unfortunate humans
Sri
Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mortals, the rarest birth of humans achieved to practice
devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari if it was used for taking pleasure
in worldly matters of infinite Shabda/sounds, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/passion, Roopa/forms, and Gandha/smell, that body of that unfortunate human is equivalent to fishes, pig,
and dogs, in the sense, they are worth for nothing but eat, mate and defaecate.
The unfortunate are the ones who take immense pleasure in worldly matters such as
possession, wealth, richness, money, fame, children, wife, relatives, and companions,
of fleeting nature, eventually, they drive afar from the supreme Lord of the
Universe/Jagadheeshwara, who is the source of the functioning of the mind,
intellect, Chithth, Ahamkara, Karma, and Gnanendriyas, Pancha Prana/vital
energies, etc. without the knowledge of absolute truth/Paramarththa Thaththva,
of the Supreme Lord who is all-pervasive, reside as a soul in the Jeeva, he is
omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. These ill-fated humans forget their purpose
of birth and Lord Sri Krishnachandra and chase after lust, desire, ego, pride,
jealousy, and anger. The unfortunates are the ones who do not strive for the four
Purusharththa/Dharma/righteousness, Arththa/wealth, Kama/desire, and
Moksha/renunciation, they do not practice meditation and contemplation on the supreme Lord who resides as soul, and they do not practice sing in praise of the
glories of the Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma Paramambhramam./ Sath-eternal,
Chithth-pure, Ananandha/bliss”
