Sri Rama Sthothram by Lord Indhra – Lyrics and meanings

|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Rama who has the eyes resemblance to blue Lilly, he is colossal wood fire which destroys the grief and sorrows of Samsara, Goddess Sri Bhavani meditates upon the marvelous form of Lord Rama who is supreme bliss, he is the destroyer of sorrows in the worlds of Samsara and he is worshiped by all the deities.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Rama who is the cause for the destruction of sorrows of Suras/deities; he is personified as human, he is free from any attachments, he is beyond description and eternal bliss, he is the provider of various boons, he is Lord Hari who incarnated to reduce the burden of Earth.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Rama who is the closest associate of monkey warriors; he provides supreme bliss to people who are surrendered to him and destroys their grief and sorrows, he is attainable through severe austerities and strict yogic practices.    I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Rama who is the delight of Janakathmaja/daughter of Janaka/Goddess Sita, he is distant to the people who are immersed in sensual pleasures, he is very near to the Yogis, and he is the symbol of supreme bliss born in the clan of Raghu.  I shall mediate upon supreme Lord Rama who is a great illusionist incarnated in an appropriate form of human out of Maya, whoever listens to your glorious myths would soak in the state of eternal bliss.   I was haunted by excessive ego and pride, considered myself as superior, Oh! Lord Rama, due to your supreme grace I have completely got rid of that wrong impression as superior in the three worlds.  I shall meditate upon Lord Raghava, who is decked in garlands made of various precious ornaments and gems, his face has the luster of full moon of autumn and his eyes has the resemblance to lotus flower, he is unfathomable, he is wild fire to the demons who has been to the burden to Earth.  I shall meditate upon Lord Ramachandhra, who is superior among the clan of Raghu, he has the complexion of dark clouds, he destroyed the demons like Khara and reinstated peace in the world, and he is decked in magnificent crown and worshiped by Lord Purari/Thripurari and deities. I shall meditate upon Lord Ramachandhra, who is the destroyer of sorrows and grief; seated with Sita on the magnificent throne, which spread the luster of billions of Lord Chandra and the radiance of precious yellow metal.
