Panchayudha Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

I shall always surrender to the sparkling divine weapon Sudharshana/Chakram/wheel of Lord Vishnu, it has numerous sharp edges and it has the radiance of billions of Adithya, it destroys the demons who are the enemies of Sura.  I shall always surrender to the divine weapon Panchajanyam/shankha/conch of Lord Vishnu, which creates deafening noise from the face of Lord Vishnu, it is capable to thrash the pride of demons, and it has the luster of billions of Lord Chandra.  I shall always surrender to the divine weapon Kaumodhaki/Gadha/mace of Lord Vishnu, made of precious yellow metal and has the size equivalent to Mount Meru, it annihilates the clan of demons, and Lord Vaikundha carries on his left hand.  I shall always surrender to the divine weapon Sharngam/bow of Lord Vishnu, which produce alarming noise  that is capable to creates terror among the demons, it shower heavy downpour of arrows resembles to lightening.  I shall always surrender to the divine weapon Nandakam/sword of Lord Vishnu, that chop off the heads of demons who are the enemies of Sura, it is stained in blood of enemies of Suras.


Whoever reads or listen to the above verse praising the glories of Panchayudha of Lord Vishnu in the early hours of morning on daily basis, would be relieved from miseries, sorrows and fear, it destroys all the sins of worshiper and provides eternal bliss.
