Chapter
– 33– Sri Vinaya Patrika –
The deeds/Vriththi of Jeeva represents the city of Lanka in the Bhramandaroopi Shareera/body that was constructed by the
Manroopi demon Mayan, the demons Ravana and his clan represents the impurities
of the mind
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Deva, Oh!
Lakshmiramana, kindly give support of your lotus hands, and protects me while
sinking in the bottomless ocean of worldly existence, Oh! Bhagavan, you are the
remover of the grief of worldly existence, and destroyer of miseries and
sufferings, Oh! Dhooshnanashak, you are the destroyer of Ajjjanaroopi /ignorance
Rahu that causes afflictions to the full moon, you are extremely valorous like the lion
that attacks the Kama and Madharoopi untamed elephant. The fortress of Lanka
represents the deeds of Shareeraroopi Bhramanda, the Manroopi Mayadhanava
constructed the fortress of Lanka in the Shareeraroopi Bhramanda. It has five
Kosha such as Annamaya, Pranamaya, Manomaya, Vijjanamaya, and Anandhamaya, these
are the magnificent halls in the fortress, the three attributes/Sathvik,
Rajasik and Thamasik are the Senapathis/ministers in the fortress of Lanka. The
body and I consciousness is extremely dangerous, the attachment and pride of
body that has fleeting nature, undergoes constant transformation, Jara, Vyadhi, and Marana, and the attachment on children, wife, relatives, companion and the
material matters such as money, wealth, richness, fame, possession, hurls the
Jeeva in constant miseries and grief in the absence of loss of the above. The
impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya causes the body
and I consciousness, which completely takes away the serenity of the mind. These
impurities of mind, body, and consciousness are the crocodiles, wales, and
powerful waves in the Samudraroopi ocean of worldly existence. The deeds of
Shareeraroopi Bhramanda is the city of Lanka where Moharoopi Ravana,
Ahamkararoopi Kumbhakarnna who is the younger brother to him, and Meghanath
like the destructive force that takes away the serenity of mind, happily resides in
it. The demons Athikaya is Lobharoopi, Mathsararoopi wicked Mahodhar,
Krodharoopi Mahapapi Devanthak, Dhvesharoopi Dhurmukh, Dhambharoopi Khara,
Kapataroopi Akamban, Dharpparoopi Manujadha, Madharoopi Shoolapani, etc. happily, live in this city of Lanka. These
demons and the three Senapathis/attributes are extremely valorous and haughty,
the Karma and Gnanendhriyas are the female demons who are equally skilled and
destructive. Oh! Nath, the Vibheeshana who is the younger brother of Ravana is your
ardent devotee, he is tormented by these wicked and haughty demons, the
austerities of Yam, Niyam, Dhamam, Shamam, Shaucham, Sathyam, Dhaya, Arjjavam, etc. like the ten Dikpalakas and Indhriyas/Indhra are tortured and terrified
by these wicked Ravana and his men. Oh! Bhagavan, you are the ocean of mercy
personified as the son of King Dhasharatha and Devi Kausalya to destroy the
wicked demons and reduce the burden of the Earth, Oh! Janakivallabha kindly shed the light of wisdom in the dense forest like the heart where the Jjanaroopi house of
Dasaratha, Shubha, and Bhakthiroopi Kausalya resides and destroy the
impurities of the mind like the demons.
Oh! Bhagavan you are the source of Moksha, you have constructed a mighty
bridge across the vast ocean with the help of Vanaras, bears, and Sugrivah,
kindly guide me to cross the ocean of Samsara, so that the Vairagyaroopi
Mahabalavan Pavanasutha Hanuman set fire in the Vishayaroopi dense wood of
impurities, as he had burned the city of Lanka so that I can feel the
perpetual bliss. Oh! Anandhaghanaswaroopa Paramathma Oh! Sri Ram, you are the
destroyer of grief and sufferings of worldly existence, Oh! Bhagavan, I am Jeevaroopi
Tulasi Das, a sincere servant of you, kindly destroy the
Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathscharyaroopi demons in me, Oh! Sri
Ramachandra along with Devi Janaki and Lakshman kindly reside in the lotus-like
heart of mine.”
