Chapter
-53 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - The terrible
consequences of impurities of mind such as Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and
Mathshcharya.
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “The
Moodamathi/ignorant Jeeva abandons the Sreerama Bhakthiroopi Ganga and quenching
thirst with the drops of the impure water, like the Papeeha misunderstands the
fog as clouds, and rushes to it, alas! does not get the coolness or waterdrops
from it, only gets annoyed with the blurring vision, and this is how the
interest in worldly matters, Body and I consciousness prompts the ignorant
Jeeva chases after the material welfare, possession, wealth, money, fame, richness, the pleasure from the family, children, relatives, and companions, etc. within a short period of time, get dejected and weep over it, without knowing the
eternal truth that the material things, bodily pleasure, and attachment to
people and material matters cannot bring permanent happiness. The attachment to
the body that undergoes constant transformation, aging, illness, and finally
death, is the same as the material matters of impermanent nature, like the birds seeing
the mirror image on the broken glass pieces get attracted to it, and nibble
with its beak and gets badly wounded. The ignorant Jeeva drenched in the interest
in worldly matters and bondage, body and I consciousness, impurities of mind cause
the same damage as the bird's nibble on its mirror image on the broken glass
pieces. Oh! Kripanidhi, how long I would describe the foolishness of the
ignorant Jeeva? Oh! Bhagavan, you are the knower of all, Oh! Swamin, I am
Tulsidas have taken shelter at your lotus feet, kindly protects me, Oh! Sharanagathvathsala kindly protects this Jeevathma.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Prabho,
you have named us ‘Jeeva’, that dancing day and night to the tune of Maya, Oh! Hare,
it hasn’t been firm for not a second, the Jeeva dressed up in the Shadguna of
Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Madha, Moha, Mathshcharyaroopi attire, have taken several
births of Jada and Chethana Vasthu, in the Jala, Akasha, Vayu, Prithvi, and I
have spread hands before the Dhaithya, Devatha, Muni, Naga, Manushya, etc.
for favor. Unfortunately, none of them were capable to remove the sufferings and
grief of poverty or sins, and I am completely exhausted, my loveliness, eyes,
hands, legs, strength, and intellect everything left me helpless, none of my
limbs are co-operating with me. Oh! Raghunath, I am worn out of fears and anxieties
of Samsara I have taken shelter at your lotus feet, Oh! Nath, I have forgotten
all those virtues you have loved in the Jeeva, I am helpless to please you. Oh!
Prabho, kindly let your slave Tulsidas stay at your doorsteps.”
