Chapter - 107 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – The practice of meditation and
contemplation to get rid of dualities known as Dhvaithabhava/grief and joy,
respect and disrespect, sorrow and happiness, etc.
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh!
Raghupathi, the practice of devotion, austerities, Japa, Thapa, Swadhyaya, Yoga, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Shaucham, Dhaya, Ahimsa, Arjjavam, the vow of silence and celibacy, etc. are extremely difficult, not easy as it was spoken,
the people who sincerely follow the same would understand the difficulties
involved in it. Whoever skillful in the practice of any art would achieve
serenity and happiness in it, like the fishes in the powerful water currents of
Ganga enjoys diving through her water, but if the elephant got trapped in her
powerful water currents do not enjoy the same, because elephants are not skillful
swimmers as the fishes. The Sugar mixed in the sand is impossible to separate
from it, but the ants skillfully separate them from the sand. The illustrious
Yogis undertake various Sadhanas, Tapasya, Shamadhamadhi, Japa, Athmavichara
etc. get rid of interest in the infinite Nama Roop Dhrishya from the mind, ignorance,
illusion, and interest in worldly matters, Shabdha, Sparsha Rasa Roopa and
Gandha, and suffuse them in the
Parameshwararoopa Karya and Karana Jagath with the knowledge of Parmarththa,
get rid of Dhwaithabhava,/grief and joy, respect and disrespect, gain and loss,
sorrows and happiness etc. and envision the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma
Parambhramam, and immerses in eternal
bliss, and fearlessly roam all over the Earth. It is the superior state which
is beyond Shoka, Moha, Maya, Bhaya, Harsha, day and night, region and time, Harsha and Ullasa, etc.
Oh! Tulsidas, it is impossible to get rid of the grief and sorrows of Samsara,
until and unless the Jeeva achieve that superior state which is beyond
dualities/Dhvandhabhava.”
