Chapter - 98 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ramanama Mahima - Thrividha Thapahari
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva,
Ramanama is Kalpatharu in the Kali era. It would remove the grief, sufferings,
agony, Dharidhrya, Dhurbiksha, Dhosha, ignorance, and it would destroy the
interest in material matters, possession, richness, wealth, money, fame, and attachment
to wife, children, relatives, and companion, etc. that has momentary life. The practice of recitation of Ramanam would bring the serenity of mind and remove the redundant
thoughts as well. The constant meditation and contemplation would transform the
mind and intellect to get adapted to the worst of the worst calamities,
distress, and grief. /Manayeva Manushyanam Karanam Bandha Mokshayo:/ The
Adhikavi Maharishi Valmiki was a hunter in his previous life, fortunate enough
to receive the Mahamanthra from the Sages who met in the woods, advised pronouncing
‘Ma Ra’, thereby he achieved the highest status of Bhramarishi. Lord of Lords Lord
Mahadeva who is a staunch devotee of Lord Rama immerses in the Ramanamajapa, imparts
the glories of Ramanamajapa in the Anandhavan Kashi, and whispers the sacred Ramanama
on the ears of the Jeeva who leaves mortal coil on this land. Lord Mahadeva
with the constant meditation and contemplation of Ramanama transformed the
Halahal/toxic poison that was emerged while churning the ocean, was consumed by
him and became an ornament on his throat/Neelkand Mahadev, thus he saved the
entire Universe from the mass destruction miraculously. Oh! Jeeva, whoever engages
in the practice of the recitation of the nectar-like Ramanama, would achieve
the welfare in Ihaloka and Paraloka as well. Oh! Tulsi, the practice of sacred
Ramanama would keep the Jeeva free from the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha,
Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, and lessen the interest
in Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandh, it gives enthusiasm to the Jeeva
not to get attached to worldly matters or people while living in the Samsara,
thereby they enjoy bliss/Paramanandha while living on the Earth, do not
get anxious about life and death.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Jeeva,
worship Lord Ram, and contemplate and meditate upon the lotus feet of Lord Sri
Ramachandhra who is kind, valorous, skillful, and pure, he is the source of
happiness and welfare to the Jeeva, he has the loveliness of crores of
Manmatha. Devi Saraswati, Veda, Adhishesha, Santhbrindh, eulogizes the glories
of Lord Sri Ramachandra, his virtues are singing in praise by the Samaveda.
Lord Mahadeva who is staunch devotee of Rama, constantly immerses in the
recitation of Ramanama and enjoys the bliss/ Parmanandha. The supreme Lord Rama sincerely followed the
promise to his father, left the stately pleasure and moved to dense forest, he
was not unhappy to leave the Kingdom of Ayodhya, or he was not anxious about
the life in the dense woods. Vibheeshana who is an ardent devotee of Ram was
exiled from his Kingdom of Lanka took shelter at his lotus feet, achieved the
lost glories and crowned as the King of Lanka. He is Paramathma Parambhramam
resides as soul in the Jeeva, knower of all, he is the sole witness, ensures
the safety and welfare of the Jeeva, he is watchful reside in Hridhpadmamadhya/middle
of the lotus like heart, in the four Yugas. He is too kind and compassionate,
easily forgets the mistakes of his devotees, and gets highly pleased listening
to the virtues of his devotees. He gets easily pleased with the pure devotion/Ananyabhakthi,
never look upon their class of his devotees, he liberated the Jeevas from the
lowest clan, Keet, Pathanga, Pashuyoni /Guha, Vanara, Rakshasa, Ganika, Jatayu,
Shabari etc. Oh! Tulsi, contemplate and meditate upon that supreme Lord Rama,
who is the Lord of three worlds, provider of bliss, compassionate, charismatic,
Bhakthvathsala, Chathur, Pathitha Pavana. The ultimate truth is that the Jeeva
who turns afar from the all-pervasive Bhramam Lord Rama cannot be happy or
peaceful.”
