Chapter
- 105 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Raghuvar,
you are so kind and amiable, you are Nirahamkari and Nirabhimani, do not take
pleasure in the offerings of the wealthiest without pure devotion or you do not
take pleasure in the ingredients offered by them, or you do not get pleased
with the intellectuals, or wealthiest, or learned or
Abhimani/Ahamkari, Dhambi. Oh! Prabho, you
get easily pleased with the simple gesture of love of poor and distressed
people, you get pleased with the ignorant and unfortunate who stands before you
with folded hands and has no wishes to fulfill. The deities are exhausted by
performing various Sadhanas to fulfill their desires, but you have not given
Dharshan to them not even in their dreams. Oh! Prabho, you have become a close companion of Vanaras, bears, and Rakshas Vibheeshana, Nishadha, etc. you have
considered them as one of your family members, hence you are pure and kind,
lacks pride. Oh! Prabhu, you have conducted long journeys through the
Dhandakaranya and met villagers spend life with the tribals, Kol, Bheel,
Nishadhas, etc. Later, you have not discussed the people and the
illustrious Rishis and Sages you have met in the Dhandakavana, all that you
have to talk about Shabari and Jatayu’s selflessness, love, and devotion to you, in this way you have proved yourself Nirabhimani. Oh! Prabho, you have heard the
complaints of a dog that was brutally thrashed by the twice-born, and you have sent
the twice-born out of the city, making him seated on an elephant, because you have always shown
great respect towards twice-born, and served justice to the dog. Oh! Prabho, you
have heard the complaints of an ignorant Dhobby who was not willing to accept his wife who was away from home for two days and held you responsible for bringing
back Devi Sita who lived ten months in the palace of Ravana, Oh! Dheenadhayalu, you have served
justice to Dhobby by sending Devi Sita away from the Kingdom of Ayodhya. Thus, you
have ruled the Kingdom of Ayodhya with truthfulness, discipline, nobility, etc.
in this way, you have set an example of Ramarajaya where the people served with
fair justice, and the poor and distressed were always treated with great
respect and love. Oh! Dheenadhayalu, why don’t you look at Tulsi? Is there no
one to introduce to you about this distressed Tulsi?”
