Chapter – 91- Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – The practice of
devotion is perpetual bliss
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mind, practice
the worship of Lord Sri Hari, meditate and contemplate upon him, be a sincere
servant of the Lord, abandon your interest in worldly matters of possession,
wealth, richness, money, fame, children, wife, companion and relatives, etc. of
fleeting nature, leave your Ahamkara/Ignorance, Mamakara/Arrogance, lust,
desire, ego, pride, jealousy, and anger, Oh! Mind, undertake the observance of
austerities, vows, penance, celibacy, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam,
Shaucham, Ahimsa, Astheyam, Arjjavam, Swadhyaya, etc., and get rid of the
impurities of the mind. Oh! Mortals, the recitation and listening to glorious
legend and virtues of Lord Sri Hari only can bring the perpetual bliss, it is
the only cure to get rid of Vishayaroopi serpent/toxic poison like the worldly
matters. Oh! Mortals, the pure love and devotion, meditation and contemplation
at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari would bring the serenity of mind, and perpetual happiness,
it would make you dance in ultimate bliss.”
