Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Sri Seetha Ramarppanamasthu – The concluding part of Sri Vinaya Patrika - Sharanagathi

Chapter 216 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Seetha Ramarppanamasthu – The concluding part of Sri Vinaya Patrika - Sharanagathi

In the grand assembly of the Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, a magnificent throne decorated with precious gem positioned in the middle of the marvelous Hall of Assembly, was occupied by Jagathjannani Jagadamba Paramba Bhagavathi Devi Janaki along with Lord Sri Ramachandhra. Lord Hanuman was seated at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, looking at Prabhu with great admiration and love, without blinking his eyes. Bharath, Lakshman and Shathrughna are immersed in their service to Lord Sri Ramachandra. At that moment, the ‘Vinaya Pathrika’ of Sri Tulsidas Maharaj was delivered to the assembly.  The Bhakthapriya Maruthi Lord Hanuman, Bharatha, Lakshman, and Shathrughna remembered the sincere pleas of Sri Tulsidas Maharaj.  Hanuman and Bharatha whispered to Lakshman not to leave the auspicious opportunity to hand over the Vinaya Patrika to Lord Sri Ramachandra, ultimately the Vinaya Patrika was handed to Prabhu.

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Lakshman after listening to the instructions of Bharatha and Hanuman, began to speak to Lord Sri Ramachandra “Oh! Prabho, there is an ardent devotee of you finding immense pleasure in the recitation of ‘Sri Ramanama’ in this vicious Kali era, and he has sent a very special message to you in the name of ‘Vinaya Pathrika’, kindly take a look into it.” Soon the people and ministers assembled in the huge hall raised from their seats and chorused ‘It is true, we all know him’. The most promising and compassionate Lord Sri Ramachandra smiled and replied ‘Yes I know, I have heard about him too'. Sri Gusayi must have appealed to Sri Janaka Nandhini beforehand; hence she must have recommended the name of Tulsi several times to Lord Sri Ramachandra. The next thing, Sri Raghunath took the Vinaya Patrika in his hand and signed it, I have got immensely delightful watching my success to persuade Lord Sri Ramachandra and blissfully took shelter at his lotus feet forever.”

Chapter 215 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj’s pleas to Lord Hanuman, Bharatha, Lakshman, and Shathrughna

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Pavanakumara/son of Lord Vayu, Oh! Shathrughna/younger brother to Rama, Bharatha, Lakshman, Oh! Bharatha/younger brother to Rama, Oh! Lakshman/younger brother to Rama and Bharatha, kindly pass the information about the miserable state of the Dheena Sadhanaheena Tulsi to Lord Sri Ramachandra. I believe it would provide an abundance of devoutness to this weak and distressed Tulsi, and Lord Sri Ramachandra would consider the ‘Vinaya Pathrika’ as the heart of Tulsi. Oh! Prabho, the intellectuals, Santh, Mahatmas are always received with great admiration in the assembly of the Kings, and there is no doubt in it. But I am Heena Sadhanaheena Tulsi drenched in Mahamoha/ignorance and illusion, did not perform any Vedhokthamarga rites, or austerities, Shamadhamadhi, Bhramacharya, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, etc. hence I can’t achieve the grace of the Lord Sri Ramachandra without your recommendation. Oh! Prabho, it would multiply your fame, honor, and Lord Sri Ramachandra would get immensely pleased and praise your action, therefore kindly look for a most promising and suitable opportunity, and put a word about this weak and failing Tulsi to Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Prabho, kindly introduce this Heena Sadhanaheen Tulsi to the Kripalu Sharanagathavathsala Sri Ramachandra, so that I would achieve his Kripa to get rid of grief of Sasmara and Samsara chakra.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Paramaraththa Thaththva – All the material matters/Prapancha/Prakrithi undergoes constant transformation and ruin – Jeevathma is Paramathma/indestructible Purusha

Chapter 214 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Paramaraththa Thaththva – All the material matters/Prapancha/Prakrithi undergoes constant transformation and ruin – Jeevathma is Paramathma/indestructible Purusha

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Sri Ramachandra, who is most promising to me in this world? Oh! Prabho, you are that Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam reside as a soul in the Jeeva and you are the sources of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Prana, Ahamkara, Chithth, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas,  etc. the Jeevathma and Parmathma are inseparable hence you are my only relative. Whoever achieved the Paramarththa Thaththva/ SATH/the knowledge of ‘self, the indestructible Purusha who is beyond words, mind, intellect, changeless, pure, unblemished, free from afflictions, eternal, and the Prapancha/Prakrithi/ASATH, material matters and infinite Nama, Roopa, and Dhrishya has fleeting nature, got rid of illusion/ignorance, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in worldly matters, and infinite Nama, Roopa, Dhrishya, had crossed the unfathomable ocean of Samsara and Samsarachakra  as well. All the relationships formed in the several births were out of Maya/illusion, ignorance is meaningless, like the countless outer layers of the plantain shoot. The attraction towards the Samsara/infinite Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandha are like the ornament of gold attached to the worthless and colorful glass pieces. Oh! Pitha, kindly read the ‘Vinaya Pathrika’ written by  Dheen/weak and failing Sadhanaheen/lacks austerities Tulsi all by yourself, kindly do not allow anyone to read it, others may leave some of the contents by mistake, or add up something which was not intended to say. I have written whatever I have felt true to my heart, hence you read it by yourself. Oh! Prabho, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me, so that I will get rid of the impurities of the mind, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in infinite Nama, Roopa Dhrishya, and worldly matters, after that you can discuss with the ministers of your assembly, and do whatever apt for Tulsi.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Sharanagathi/uninterrupted flow of devotion to achieve the serenity of mind - The attachment to material matters and people that has fleeting nature can't bring permanent happiness or serenity of mind

Chapter 214 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi/uninterrupted flow of devotion to achieve the serenity of mind- The attachment to material matters and people that has fleeting nature can't bring permanent happiness or serenity of mind

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho where I didn’t visit? Whom I didn’t meet? What I didn’t say? And whom I didn’t bow down my head pleading for a favor? Oh! Sri Ram, until I take shelter at your lotus feet, I didn’t achieve peace not even in my dream. The moment I have taken up austerities, meditation, and contemplation, recitation of your sacred name ‘Ram’, I have experienced the serenity of mind, I have understood that I have been driven madly after the material matters/Prakrithi, infinite Nama, Roopa Dhrishya, that has fleeting nature, and attachment to these Vishayavisha that pushed me into endless grief and sufferings.  I have been hurling in several Yonis of Pashu, Pakshi, Keet, Pathanga, Manushya, Demon, and Devatha, and suffering endless miseries and sorrows of Samsara, I have been spreading hands before the wicked people, visiting them door to door, begging for alms, describing my miserable life were remained unnoticed and unheard, I did not achieve neither peace nor happiness by doing so. Oh! Prabho, I have been wandering without necessities of food and clothing, I was in a chase to protect my Prana, hence I have to beg before the people, leaving my austerities, vows, to protect myself from hunger and thirst. Oh! Prabho, I have been drenched in Mahamoha, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, and committed various sins, alas! I did not achieve any happiness or peace. Oh! Prabho, the impurities of mind forced me to commit all kinds of sins shamelessly. I have been chasing after the infinite Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roop/appearance and Gandha/smell, to satisfy my sense, alas! all I have earned is fear, agony, and grief. Oh! Prabho, none of the Jeeva have achieved happiness and serenity of mind immersed in the toxic poison of worldly matters and interest in material matters and people, instead, they were thrown to utter gloominess and grief, even the Kings and rulers of stately pleasures did not achieve happiness and serenity of mind due to their Mamahoma/ignorance and illusion. Oh! Prabho, I have failed to achieve serenity of mind indulging in worldly matters and attachment to material matters and people that have momentary life, hence I have taken shelter at your lotus feet, I have understood the peace and serenity is vested on your lotus feet, not in the Vishayavisha/worldly matters. Oh! Dhasharathakumara, you are eminent in the three worlds, the Vedas, scriptures, and the deities singing in praise of your endless glories, Oh! Prabho, Tulsi has taken shelter at your lotus feet, and reverentially bow down before you, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me. Oh! Prabho, you are Sharanagatha Rakshaka, Pathithapavana who protects the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet; hence I am certain that I would achieve the happiness and serenity at your lotus feet.”

Chapter 214 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The life of Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The splendor of Mahatmas -Sri Ramanama Mahima

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, I have been door to door describing my miserable state to the Master’s on the Earth, there are eminent and kind people on the Earth capable to destroy the sufferings and grief from eight directions, but none of them heard my cries or not interested to listen to my pleas. Oh! Prabho, my parents discarded me like a worm, they abandoned me like the serpent remove its outer skin and walk away from it. Whom do I get angry on? Why should I blame them? Oh! Prabho, I was born ill-fated, people considered me as the most unfortunate creature, hence they refused to touch even my shadow. Oh! Prabho, the Santh Mahatmas witnessed my grief and pain, comforted and advised me not to get perplexed, and they were too kind and given me shelter, further, they have introduced me to the meditation of the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra who is too kind and compassionate to Jeeva who have taken shelter at his lotus feet.  They enlightened me with the knowledge of pure devotion at the lotus feet of supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra who did not leave the Pamar/dull, ignorant, Pashu/animals and birds, Pathanga/flies who have taken shelter in him. Oh! Prabho, I have become yours from that day onwards, taken up practices and austerities, meditation and contemplation at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, the recitation of your name brought an abundance of auspiciousness in my life, when I think of all those, I feel ashamed of not taking up the austerities and meditation with sincerity and devotion, I have been drenched in Mamamoha/ignorance and illusion, Ahamkara, Mamakara, lust, desire, ego, pride, jealousy, etc. chasing after material welfare and bodily pleasure, hence I do not deserve your compassionate grace, I haven’t performed any religious or spiritual rite of Vedokthamarga that makes you feel happy.  Oh! Sharanagatha Vathsala, how do I praise your generosity and nobleness?”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Dev, where do I go? Where do the distressed and depraved Jeeva take shelter in the Kali era? Who is compassionate and kind Master like you who can provide protection to this Heen/inferior and Sadhanaheen/lack of austerities, Jeeva? Oh! Prabho, I am not wealthy or Sadhgunasampanna/flawless or virtuous or sincere servant. I am a Sadhanaheena, Nirdhan/pauper, Sadhgunaheen/lack of virtues, Alasi/lazy, dull-minded, who can be taken care of only by the Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the Lord of distressed Jeeva. Oh! Prabho, you are eminent, knower of All, there is no deity as kind and compassionate as you in the three worlds/Swarga/heaven, Prithvi/Earth, and Pathal/Netherland, to take care of this distressed Tulsi, drenched in the impurities of Kama/desire, Krodha/anger, Lobha/jealousy, Moha/lust, Madha/arrogance, Mathshcharya/yearning, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance, and Gandh/smell, chasing after the material matters of wealth, richness, money, possession, fame, attachment to wife, children, companion, and relatives, etc. I haven’t practiced austerities, meditation, vows, Shama/control of sense, Dhama/control over actions, Sathyam/truthfulness, Dhaya/kindness, Shaucham/cleanliness, Dhanam/charity, Astheyam/no stealing, Bhramacharya/celibacy, Ahimsa/non-violence, Swadhyaya/study of scriptures and Veda, Athmavichara/knowledge of 'self', etc. Oh! Chapter 212 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Jeevathma is Paramathma like the ocean waves have no existence without waters

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, I have no one to talk about my grief and sufferings, I haven’t found anyone as promising as you, Oh! Dheenabandhu, there is no one kind and compassionate as you, to the distressed and orphaned Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, there were several sinners and distressed Jeeva who have crossed the unfathomable ocean of Samsara with your compassionate grace. Oh! Ram, the Jeeva whoever achieved your grace either with kindness or anger, of fleeting nature has attained all the auspiciousness, got rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and the interest in Shabdha/Sound, Sparsha/touch, Roopa/appearance, Rasa/taste, and Gandha/smell, interest in worldly matters, possession, richness, wealth, money, fame, attachment to wife, children, companions, and relatives, ultimately got rid of grief and sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, all I am seeking your compassionate grace, even if it has fleeting nature would do good to this Tulsi, it would remove the impurities of my mind, thereby the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra. Oh! Prabho kindly protects Tulsi and considers me as yours, I am that Jeevathma which is inseparable and has no existence from the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam. Oh! Prabho, kindly do not make further delay in showering your compassionate grace upon me, because the life span has been reduced enormously in the Kali era.”

Chapter 211 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The Prakrithi/material matters/people have momentary life, hence attachment to them causes intense grief and agony - The attachment on the impermanent things cannot provide permanent happiness

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Ram, there is no one other than you to provide auspiciousness in the Iha/life on Earth and Paraloka/life after death, hence do not abandon me, kindly do not get angry at me for not realizing the Paramarththa Thaththva/Jeevathma is Paramathma which is eternal, unblemished, pure, changeless, free from afflictions and all the material matters/Prakrithi/Prapancha are destructible and has fleeting life. Oh! Prabho, I have no discipline, virtues, skills, I am sinful Jeeva, lethargic, lazy, wicked always taken shelter in the association of deceitful people. I have drenched in the Mahamoha, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, have taken pleasure in the material matters and bodily pleasures that have momentary life, further pushed me into constant grief and agony. Oh! Prabho, I haven’t practiced devotion, meditation, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, austerities, vows, celibacy, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Kshama, Dhrithi, Shaucham, Dhaya, Ahimsa, Astheyam, Arjjavam, etc. I haven’t followed any Vedoktha Marga/Vedic way of living to achieve fruitfulness in my life, I have caught up in the evilness of the Kali era, sinful deeds, words, and thoughts. Oh! Prabho, I have been a sinner all my life, hence all the deities abandoned me hopeless, Oh! Prabho, I am filling my stomach reciting your sacred name, and introducing myself as ‘the servant of Rama’ and the whole world knows about it. I haven’t performed any Vedokthakriya, hence I am not qualified to address myself as your servant, but the world affirms that I am your sincere servant/Rambhola, so I think you should lend ears to them. Oh! Prabho, I have thoroughly understood that if Tulsi wants to achieve auspiciousness in life, it would be possible only with your compassionate grace, otherwise not.  If you are desired to liberate me from the sufferings and sorrows of worldly existence, kindly do not make any delay. Oh! Prabho, The evilness of the Kali  era has taken complete control over the mind and intellect of the Jeeva, no one is willing to follow the Vedoktha Marga, people have lost belief in Veda and Scriptures, everyone interested in their own way of performance of religious and spiritual rite, none has the interest in Shamadhamadhi, austerities, Vow, Swadhayaya, Bhramacharya, Sathyam, Astheyam, Dhaya, Ahimsa, Dhanam, Shaucham, Kshama, Dhrithi, Arjjavam, etc. all the Jeeva interested in worldly matters, material, and bodily pleasures, drenched in Mahamoha/illusion and ignorance, Ahamakra and Mamakara.  Oh! Prabho, if you make further delay in showering your compassionate grace, it would be impossible to protect this Dheena Sadhanaheena Tulsi from the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra, Oh! Prabho, kindly do it immediately.”

Oh! Prabho, you are the purifier of Jeeva, hence kindly sanctify this Tulsi too. Oh! Prabho, are you conscious about the comment of the world if you accept a grave sinner like me? Oh! Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Sharanagathi/pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra removes the grief of Samsara

Chapter 209 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi/pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra removes the grief of Samsara

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, Oh! Raghubeer, when will you look at this Tulsi? Oh! Kripanidhan, whether I am good or not, I am your servant, won’t you consider me as yours and put an end to my endless evilness? Oh! Prabho, kindly remove my impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, and excessive interest in infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, kindly shower your compassionate grace so that all my sins will get destroyed. Oh! Prabho, I have taken several births in different Yoni of Pashu, Pakshi, Keet, Pathanga, Manushya, Devatha, Rakshasa, in all those births my mind took great control over me, hence I have been drenched in Mahamoha, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, I have been in the Janana and Marana Chakra for several thousands of years, suffering endless grief and agony. Oh! Prabho, won’t you take control of my mind and protect me from the Vishayavisha which hurls the Jeeva into Samsarachakra? Or will I end up in the cycles of birth and death in this birth too? Or will you protect me from the shackle of Samsara? Or will you refuse to do so and let the Vishayavisha win over this Tulsi? or let the Tulsi get fastened in the Samsara even after taking shelter at your lotus feet? Oh! Prabho, you are Pathithapavana, I am that Pathitha/distressed, hence kindly forgive my sins and protect me from the sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, I am alarmed watching the evilness of the Kali era, I am horrified by my Kala/time, Karama/deeds, Swabhava/attributes, Oh! Prabho, you are the protector of Jeeva, you are the protector of the Universe, hence I appeal to you, who will listen to my cries and pleas other than you? Oh! Prabho, you are my Master, Guru, Matha, Pitha, and Sakha, I have no one to protect other than you.”

Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The practice of devotion is bliss

Chapter 208 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The practice of devotion is bliss

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Ram, when did I take pleasure in the meditation and contemplation upon your lotus feet, like the fish splashes in the water, the serpent feel elated with the gem on its forehead, and the Lobhi gets thrilled watching the treasure or the youth find attracted to the young and smart woman of his choice. Oh! Prabho, when will I find pleasure in the recitation of your name? you are the treasure house, I am that Lobhi, yearning to achieve the grace of you. Oh! Prabho, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me so that I will practice Ananyabhakthi/uninterrupted flow of devotion at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, the Veda, and scriptures highly eulogize your generous nature, you are bountiful offers whatever yearn by your devotees, you are the knower of All, you fulfill the wishes of your devotees without even asking for it. Oh! Dhayanidhe, kindly fulfill the desire of this Tulsi, without asking for it. Oh! Prabho, I am exhausted and worn out of sufferings and grief of Samsara, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in infinite Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roop/appearance and Gandha/smell, I have lost the serenity of mind, troubled with anxious, and fear of death. Oh! Prabho, kindly shower your compassionate grace and fulfill my desire, so that I would achieve Ananyabhakthi/pure love and devotion at your lotus feet, and get rid of impurities of the mind, redundant thoughts, sufferings, and grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra.”

Chapter 207 – Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ananya Bhakthi is uninterrupted and unconditional love and devotion at the feet of Supreme Lord.

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, I am certain that if I achieve your Kripa, I would get rid of interest in worldly matters, possession, wealth, richness, money, fame, attachment to wife, children, companions, and relatives of impermanent nature, I would get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance and Gandh/smell etc. of fleeting nature, I am certain that If I have achieved your Kripa I won’t indulge in the toxic poison like Vishayavisha that causes constant grief and sufferings of Samsara, and practice the austerities, vow, Swadhyaya, Shamamdhamadhi, Athmavichara, Brahmacharya, etc. I would leave all my wickedness and engage in the recitation of Ramanama with intense love and devotion. If I did not achieve the fruitfulness of the life, how did I believe that you have accepted me as your servant? As long as I yearn for Puthreshna, Viththeshana, Mithreshana, Dhareshana,/attachment to Puthra/children, Viththa/wealth, Mithra/companion, Dhara/wife, I would keep suffering from the fear and anxieties of death, fear of Kings and kings men, how did I practice Ananyabhakthi? Like the Chathaka yearn to quench the thirst from the droplets of Swathinakshathra, even if the ponds and rivers are full of water the Chathaka won’t quench its thirst, until and unless it receives droplets from the Swathinakshathra. Oh! Prabho, when will I get freed from the grief of dualities of happiness and sorrow, respect and disrespect, good and evil? When will I achieve the serenity of mind, get freed from the redundant thoughts? When will I get freed from the wickedness of the Kali era? If I have achieved the serenity of mind, I will assume that I have achieved the grace of Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Prabho, when will I achieve the superior state of the heart filled with joy listening to your virtues and endless glories, and tears rolling down the cheeks with intense love/Ananyabhakthi, If so, I would assume that I have achieved your Kripa. Oh! Prabho, kindly accept Tulsi as yours and provide me that superior state of bliss/Ananyabhakthi.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The practice of devotion to get rid of the grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Chapter 206 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The practice of devotion to get rid of the grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Ram, I have taken a vow not to move from your doorsteps and will continue to be here until I hear ‘Tulsi Thu Mero Hai’/Tulsi you are mine from you. I have promised upon you, I will not move out of your doorsteps, even if the emissaries of Yamadhootha seizes me by hand, beaten up and compulsorily drag me to Yamaloka, I am quite sure that they would get alarmed to know my countless sins, and may force to live in the Yamaloka for several thousands of years, once again take birth in different Yoni and go through the similar sufferings and grief of Samsara. I have taken several births in different Yonis, soon after I got released from the Yamaloka, the worldly existence is miserable, full of grief and sufferings. Oh! Prabho, you are kind and compassionate to Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, I am adamant, won’t leave your doorsteps. Oh! Prabho, you are promising to Jeeva, kindly do not leave me unnoticed, I am beaten up to death by the sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, do not wait too long to hear people say that Tulsi is waiting so long at the doorstep of Lord Sri Ramachandra did not achieve the grace, hence kindly whisper to me ‘Tulsi Thu Mero Hai’, all I want to hear from you that ‘Tulsi, you are mine’, then I will stop the hunger strike before your doorsteps. Oh! Prabho, I am sinful Jeeva, if you feeling awkward to appear before Tulsi, kindly consider this Tulsi as yours in heart, I am alarmed watching the evilness of the Kali era.”

Chapter 205 – Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Kala/Time, Karma/actions and Swabhava/impulsions cause grief of Samsara and hurl into Samsarachakra/repeated births

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Kripalu, Oh! Raghunath, whenever I desire to get closer to your lotus feet, the interest in worldly matters, Ahamkara, Mamakara, the impurities of mind pull me away from it, Oh! Prabho, you are Ekarasa/eternal, changeless, unblemished, and free from impurities, I am the inseparable part of that Sachidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma, I have taken several births in different Yonis of Pashu/animal, Pakshi/birds, Keet/worms, Pathanga/flies, Devatha/deities, Manushya humans, Rakshasa/demon, etc. due to the attributes/Swabhava, Kala/Time, and Karma/actions, drenched in impurities, hence I am a grave sinner and virtue less. I have achieved several births due to my ignorance/Avidhya Maya, interest in worldly matters, Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandha, on top of that the Kali Yuga added wickedness in me. I was the Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma, unblemished, pure, while I was in the womb of the mother, the evilness of the Kali era transformed me into Kuvarnna Dhukhagrastha Jeevaroop/distressed, it transformed Gnani/wise into Agnani/ignorant. Oh! Prabho, the ignorance hurled me into different Yonis in the dense wood, and the mountain of scorching heat of Ajjanajanitha Dhukha Dhavanala/the grief and sufferings born out of ignorance. Oh! Prabho, I have taken shelter in the dense wood of Chitrakoot, and singing in praise of your glories with intense love and devotion, I have understood the wickedness of the Kali era, even though I am scared of the impurities of the mind, Ahamkara, and Mamakara of mine. Oh! Prabho, I sincerely pray before you with folded hands, and bow down my head before you, do not let me swallow by the thief like the evilness of Kali era, it would push me to intense grief and agony of the Samsara again and again. Oh! Prabho, Tulsi has taken shelter in the Ramanama and your lotus feet, I have earnestly described all my fears and anxiousness to you, hence I am freed from all the uneasiness, kindly do whatever appropriate for Tulsi.”

Chapter 204 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The evilness of Kali era – The practice of Sri Ramanama to achieve the uninterrupted flow of Bhakti

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, I follow Shaucham/cleanliness and I have intense love and devotion at your lotus feet, and I whisper to myself that ‘I am the servant of Lord Seethapathi’, even though, I am unfortunate to achieve the Ananyabhakthi/uninterrupted flow of devotion at your lotus feet, I could not achieve the superior state of the devotion of Yogi and Mahatmas. Oh! Prabho, I desire for peace and serenity, but all that I am getting sufferings, grief, and agony, whenever I perform the Amrithaswaroopi Sathkarma/pious deeds, the toxic poison like my Ahamkara and Mamakara destroys the same. The Santh Mahathma beautifully described the evilness of the Kali era, all those I could be seen before the eyes. Oh! Prabho, I have no knowledge of Gnana and Vijjana, Vidhya, and Avidya. I have been drenched in Vishayavisha, hence how could I achieve the superior wisdom/Athmajjana/knowledge of self? The Ajjanaroopi dense forest in me is the dwelling place of Vasanaroopi/attributes like an untamed lioness, and the Vishaya/worldly matters are the meat of the lioness, will it keep quiet after seeing the sumptuous meal or become voracious? In this way, I have been shackled in the worldly matters of infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, then how did I achieve the pure wisdom? Oh! Prabho, my interest in worldly matters, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and the interest in Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance, and Gandha/smell, have stolen my wisdom and intellect, hence I could not achieve Ananya Bhakti, pure love and devotion at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, I would like to say something, but I am ashamed to appeal before you, Oh! Prabho, kindly put an end to this wickedness of Kali era, so that the ignorant Jeevas like Tulsi would get rid of sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Sri Ramanama Mahima - The performance of Karma without faith and devotion to Lord Ramachandra cannot provide fruitfulness, it would remain laborious as adding ghee on the ashes, and sprinkling water on the desert

Chapter 203 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Ramanama Mahima  - The performance of Karma without faith and devotion to Lord Ramachandra cannot provide fruitfulness, it would remain laborious as adding ghee on the ashes, and sprinkling water on the desert

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mind, listen to me carefully, is there anyone kind and compassionate, most promising as Lord Sri Ramachandra who is Sachidhanandharoopa Paramathma Parambhramam? He is pure, eternal, changeless, free from sufferings, has neither birth nor death resides as a soul in the Jeeva, he is the sole source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas, etc. hence ponder over the same with your four eyes/two visible and two invisible eyes of mind and intellect. Oh! Jeeva, it is not your first birth, you have been into different Yonis of birds, animals, reptiles, humans, Rakshasa, Devatha, etc. you have been suffering in the Bhavatavi/dense wood of Samsara for several thousands of years, in each birth you have been formed various relationships, drenched in Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, and have suffered hellish torture, you have taken pleasure in the material matters and bodily pleasures, sadly you have neither satisfied with the relationships or wealth or bodily pleasures nor stopped chasing for them. Oh! Ignorant, the relationships formed in all those births, and the wealth accumulated out of selfishness and dependence did not last for long, furthermore pushed to intense grief and agony. The deities too clever, interested to listen singing in praise of them, and the Karma and Dharma got corrupted due to the evilness of the Kali era. The Karma was either performed to show off or for achieving the desired results, the Dharma/righteousness have disappeared so long, no one has the belief in customs, religious or spiritual rites, Veda, scriptures, no one is interested in the practice of Bhakthi, Gnana, Vairagya, Shamadhamadhi, austerities, celibacy, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, etc.  Jeevas are grown too wicked and deceitful, everyone wants to fill their stomach in all possible ways. Oh! Jeeva, the performance of Karma, Sadhanas, without faith and devotion to Lord Ramachandra, cannot provide fruitfulness, it would remain laborious like adding ghee on the ashes, and sprinkling water on the desert. The Supreme Lord Ramachandra who is eternal, all-pervasive supreme Bhramam, most promising to the distressed and depraved Jeeva and whose glories as sung by the Veda and scriptures are the only sources for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings. Oh! Wicked, you haven’t practiced worship of Lord Raghunath who reside as a soul in the Jeeva, or recited the Tharakamanthra, you have been drenched in Mahamoha, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, thereby chasing after the material welfare, richness, money, fame, possession, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion, you have forgotten to perceive that supreme Lord who is most promising to Jeeva and the purifier of soul. Oh! Tulsi, contemplate and meditate upon that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, Kosaladheesha, the most compassionate Lord appeared before you in the dense forest of Chitrakoot.”

Chapter 202 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Jeevathma is an inseparable part of the Paramathma, like the waves have no existence without the presence of the ocean

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, kindly listen to my pleas, my intellect/Budhdhiroopi beautiful woman have decided to taken shelter in you, she has considered you as her wedded husband, she has taken vow to stay close to your lotus feet, and serve you dutifully with pure love and devotion. Oh! Prabho, the piousness, and sins committed in the earlier lives pushed me to live in the Samsara, and during this period of time, I have thoroughly understood who is mine and not mine. Oh! Prabho,  I promise on Seethapathi Sri Ramachandra, I have no anxiousness or fear about my goodness or troubles. If I kept anxious and troubled even after taking shelter at your lotus feet, how it would make sense/Sharanagathi? I have become fearless and freed from anxiousness the moment I have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, you are the Lord of wisdom and speech, hence I won’t utter anything wrong my own. Oh! Prabho, you are the knower of all, you are sole witness of the Jeeva, you are that Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam reside as a soul in the Jeeva, which is the source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma and Gnanendhriyas etc. you are that all-pervasive Bhramam reside as Jeevathma, hence I cannot hide anything from you. Oh! Prabho, Jeevathma is an inseparable part of that Paramathma, like the waves have no existence without the presence of the ocean, therefore, Tulsi is yours, and you are the benefactor of Tulsi, if I was wrong, let me meet my immediate death, like the fly fallen on the ghee.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Sri Ramanama to achieve Ananyabhakthi

Chapter 201 – Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Ramanama to achieve Ananyabhakthi

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, there are certain things that can’t be disclosed, and some of the things cannot be kept secret, but I have to tell you this, even though I am a worthless sinful Jeeva I feel it was good that I have disclosed my sufferings to my Master who is pure, unblemished, and benevolent. Many a time I have back footed thinking about your splendor, somehow I have gathered courage to appeal before you, all my life I was ashamed to approach you, I have been drenched in worldly matters, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Masthcharya, I was illusioned/Mahamoha, ignorant soaked in material welfare and bodily pleasures of fleeting nature, Oh!Prabho, your pleasant nature, kindness, and compassion to the distressed and depraved Jeeva, immensely attracted me, hence I have taken shelter in your sacred name ‘Ram’. Oh! Prabho, you get easily pleased to your devotees who immerses singing in praise of your glories, recite your splendor, folding hands and bowing down head before you, even if they are from the lowly clan. Oh! Prabho wasn’t that the power of pure love and devotion? Whoever taken shelter at your lotus feet got rid of impurities of the mind, Ahamkara and Mamakara, sufferings of poverty, and achieves Yoga and Kshema. There was no one Prathapi/mighty as demon Ravana and no one was weak and fearful like Vibheeshana, ultimately Vibheeshana took shelter at your lotus feet have achieved immense glories, Ananyabhakthi at your lotus feet and crowned as the King of Lanka, and Ravana who was haughty and arrogant got killed in your hands. Therefore, whoever approaches you with sincere devotion and faith, and accepts their own impurities of mind and sins committed, would achieve all the auspiciousness, otherwise, it would push them into grief and miseries. Oh! Jeeva, if you constantly remember the legend of Jatayu, Ahalya, Gajendra, Ajamila, Shabari, who have achieved immense bliss with the pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord, your love for the Lord Ramachandra would grow boundless. Oh! Prabho, your sacred name ‘Ram’ resemble Kalpavruksha that fulfills all the desires of the worshiper and change them grow desire less in their lives/Poornna Kama. Oh! Prabho, the recitation of your name removes the sins of the worshiper, thereby the evilness of the Kali era get weakens. Oh! Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The rarest birth as a human should be utilized for Bhakthi, Gnana, and Vairagya to achieve Bhagavathprapthi

Chapter 200 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The rarest birth as a human should be utilized for Bhakthi, Gnana, and Vairagya to achieve Bhagavathprapthi

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Ram, I am certain that If I did take up any austerities, vows, Shamadhamadhi, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, Bhramacharya, etc. I cannot get rid of the sufferings of Samsara or Samsara Chakra in the Koti Kalpa/era, unless and until if you wish to liberate me from the sufferings and grief of Samsara. If you really want to liberate Tulsi from the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, you don’t need a moment to do it. Oh! Kripanidhan, you are eminent, and I am an ordinary dull Jeeva, I have exchanged the precious Chinthamaniroopi life span which should be utilized for Bhagavathprapthi with the momentary pleasure of Samsara, I have spent the entire life tasting the toxic poison like Vishayaroopi berry, chasing after the material matters and bodily pleasure, that are the causes for constant grief and miseries. I have made my life unworthy, even after achieving the rarest birth as a human, that should be put into use to achieve Bhakthi, Gnana, and Vairagya/Bhagavathprapthi. The impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, have multiplied due to the evilness of the Kali era, as a result, the Kukarma/sinful deeds have amplified and have become endless. I haven’t done anything good to people even accidentally, my tongue did not engage reciting the ‘Ramanama’, but I was thoroughly taking pleasure in unworthy talks, and chosen all the immoral ways to spend life, what more to say, did not even play a childhood game in the name of Bhagavan, I have presented myself as an ardent devotee of Lord in front of the people, and if any good deed performed with the grace of Santh Mahathma, was publicized with great pride. I have committed various sins with great interest and made a great effort to hide them all, I did not control words, deeds, or mind, I have let the Indhriays wander all over freely, I loved the tricks of Indhriyas and devoted my entire life to them. Oh! Prabho, after taking into consideration the Karma performed in my past, present, and future, I could say that I haven’t done anything fruitful in my life, surprisingly, the people addressing me as ‘Tulsi is favorite of Ram’, Oh! Prabho, I have faith and devotion at your lotus feet, if you believe it or not, Oh! Raghunath, I am your servant and you are my Master.”
