I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she playfully creates the Universe and withdraws the same into her, and she is meditated by the Yogis, she has the brilliance of several Adityas in the early hours of dawn.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she is attainable for the virtuous through strict austerities, Prathyahara, Dhyana, and Samadhi/meditation and prayers, along with sincere devotion and dedication of mind, she is the personification of absolute truth, eternal wisdom and intelligence, and eternal bliss.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she has most attractive smiling face, she is decked in various precious ornaments and crescent moon on her crown which is decorated on the beautiful dark clouds like curly hair locks, her lotus feet is worshiped by  Lord Indra and Upendhra/Lord Vishnu.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she is the personification of terminology, she is cause for all the living beings in the Universe, and she is the symbol of syllables, she extends supreme brilliance of lightning.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she dwells in the mooladhara and passes through the divine Chakra,  she has supreme luster of moon and sun, he has minuscule form and it is pleasing.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she is unblemished, she is eternal Goddess of the Universe, she witnesses the functions of creation, preservation and destruction as well, she finds immense pleasure in the sport, she is the consort of Lord Shiva.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she keeps the entire Universe on her womb, all the visible and invisible beings exists in her womb, she has attained half of the body of her consort, she explore through the Rajathashailam/silver mountains/icy mountains.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower; she is the garland on all those living and non living beings that are meticulously woven with the thread, she is attainable with thorough intelligence and spiritual knowledge.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she has various powers and she is all pervading, taking immense pleasure in exploring through the whole Universe, she is the symbol of auspiciousness and Kalpalathangim/wish fulfilling creeper to whoever surrendered to her.  I shall worship my mother Goddess Gauri who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, she is the destroyer of intense sorrows and grief causes by material bondage, virtuous people venerate her lotus feet and meditate upon her, she has attained half of the body of Eshwara and she is ever pleasing nature.



Whoever reads or listens to the above sacred hymns during the early hours of dawn, with intense faith and devotion, or whoever whispers the sacred verses of Gauriashtakam would be blessed with clarity and excellence in speech, wealth, intense devotion and faith on Lord Shiva and the eternal presence of Parvathaputhri/Goddess Parvathi.
