My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Saraswathi, Oh! Amba, virtuous people who have sincere devotion and dedication at your lotus feet, would consider the highest of the opulence and honor of Lord Indhra as insignificant and extremely bitter like the fruit of Nimba, therefore it is needless to mention about other kinds luxuries on the Earth.  Oh! Matha, it is pointless to mention about the ignorant person who does not aware of any difference in food, fear and sleep due to the absence of your eternal grace.  Oh! Mother, You have personified as Vani/Saraswathi, Rama/Lakshmi, Girisutha/Parvathi, in order to shower various auspiciousness and boons to your fervent devotees, hence I am speechless to describe your splendor.   You have the proficiency of Parvathivallabha/Lord Shiva, capabilities of Devaguru/Bhrihaspathi to crush the pride of the enemies, poetic, scholastic skills and the usage of words etc…are a miniscule part of your compassion.  Oh! Jagath Savithri, even a person who has the disability to speak becomes a scholar due to your auspicious grace, and unintelligent person becomes super intelligent and a poorer person becomes the wealthiest.  Oh Varnnathmike, who has the luster of glacier, Lord Chandhra, Conch and Jasmine flower, Oh! Vishwavandhye, who has beautiful long eyes filled with compassion, kindly shower your eternal grace on us and fulfill all our desires.  Oh! Amba, I have been completely surrendered at your lotus feet for several years now, I am helpless, I shall earnestly pray to shower your eternal grace filled with empathy, and make us satisfied.    Oh! Amba, I have not find happiness in anything other than your merciful glance on us, I am completely exhausted with the troubles of Samsara, I am helpless, therefore I am deserved to be protected like a child, I shall request you to shower your auspicious and merciful glance on us and make us relieved from all the grief and sorrows. 

Whoever reads or listens to the glorious verses would be honored by intellectuals and scholarly persons and attain all the Purushartha/Dharma/Artha/Kama and Moksha.

I shall meditate upon supreme Goddess Sri Saraswathi who is unblemished, she is worshiped by the whole Universe, she has the resemblance to lotus flower, she is attired in white majestic garments, and she dwells in the lotus flower.  she has attractive limbs, she is decked in various precious gems and ornaments,  she has superior resolution, she is the provider of excellent clarity in speeches, she has white complexion, she is seated in Varadhabhya posture/ provides boons as well as protection to her devotees,  she carries Rudraksha beads and sacred scriptures in her hands, she is attractive, she is initiated from lotus, she is beautiful with attractive features, she is lotus born, she is alluring which resembles to fragrant oleander, she is decked in garland of Rudraksha and carries lotus flower in her hand, she is the protector  from the perils and provides auspiciousness to her fervent devotees, she is decked in various precious gem studded ornaments, she is the essence of clarity in speeches, she dwells in the lotus flower like hearts of virtuous people and rules them.  She is the consort of Lord Bhrama, she is the symbol of Chathurveda, she has four hands, she is the symbol of four classes of consonants in the alphabets, and she is venerated by the whole Universe, she is the symbol of auspiciousness and dwells in the tip of the tongue.

Whoever reads or listens to the glorious verses of Sri Saraswathi Ashtakam in the early hours of dawn, would be freed from the darkness of ignorance and attain all that desired in their lives.
