Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Hari, will I get the opportunity to witness those lotus feet which are the source of all the auspiciousness and happiness, which could remove the grief and sufferings of Samsara and destroys the Papasamooha of the Kali era? Oh! Prabho, your beautiful lotus feet have the intense luster of the fully blossomed red lotus flower in the Sharathrithu, which is constantly caressed by the lovely hands of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi. Oh! Prabho, your lotus feet are the source of river Ganga on Earth, hence those feet are Gangajanak of Devi Ganga, she is beloved of Kamari Lord Mahadeva too. Oh! Prabho, during the incarnation of Vamana/dwarf, your lotus feet measured the entire Universe in three strides and crushed the pride of emperor Bali.  Oh! Prabho, the dust particles from your lotus feet removed the curse on Gautamapathni Devi Ahalya.  Oh! Prabho, you have removed the curse on Nriga who was taken shelter as a lizard in the dark well, you have removed all the grief and sins of Nishadharaja Guha. Oh! Prabho, your lotus feet are the shelter place of Siddha, Munigana, deities who constantly eulogize the glories of them, it is the source of happiness and auspiciousness to the Universe and its living beings. Oh! Prabho, your lotus feet are the safest asylum from the grief and sufferings of Samsara, it removes Shoka, Moha, Papa, Thapa, Maya of the Jeeva, the meditation and contemplation of those lotus feet would remove all the impurities such as interest in worldly matters and bodily pleasure, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya and moreover, prepare them to guide others to get rid of sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Kripasagar Oh! Suchathur Raghunath, you are the destroyer of grief and sufferings of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, and constantly utter your sacred name ‘Ram’. Oh! Prabho, this Tulsidas dying to witness those marvelous lotus feet with the Asharoopi thirst, kindly reveal those beautiful lotus feet and protect me from the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra.”

Chapter – 156 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – Sharanagathi

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Prabho, if I have someone else to protect, why should I cry before you? Why should I beg for protection from the sufferings of Samsara? Ahamkara, Mamakara, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, interest in infinite Nama, Roopa, and Dhrishya? Oh! Prabho, you are Pathithapavana, there is no deity as kind as you to the distressed Jeeva, you have taken the vow to protect the distressed Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, who provided Paramadhama to the twice-born Ajamila who was called out for his younger son ‘Narayana’ due to love for his son/Puthramoha?  Oh! Prabho, there are prominent deities Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Indhra, as Lokapalas, but you are the one who protected the elephant Gajendra cried out for help while sinking in the Shokaroopi river,  you have rushed to Gajendra and removed his agony leaving behind your celestial vehicle Garuda. Oh! Prabho, Devi Draupadi was humiliated in the huge assembly of Kaurava, Dusshasana dragged her on hair and pulled out her clothes while the prominent and elderly members like Bhishmapithamaha, Dhronacharya, valorous Kurus, and Pandavas were present, unfortunately, none could protect her from the shame, she called out for you “Oh! Prabho, kindly protect me”,  Oh! Prabho, who did provide mountain-sized clothes to her? Oh! Karunasagara, how did I praise your compassions and kindness with one face? You are the ocean of virtues, Oh! Kosaladheesha, you have assumed various forms to protect your devotees, you haven’t rejected a single Jeeva who have taken shelter in you. Oh! Prabho, do not ignore the cries of this Tulsidas, I will not leave your lotus feet, otherwise, leave this Tulsi with someone who is unfailing/Pranathapalaka as you.”

Chapter – 155 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – Ramanama Mahima- The utterance of Ramanama removes obstacles in the life

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, practice contemplation and meditation upon the Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra who is compassionate and kind to Jeeva took shelter at his lotus feet, there is no deity as generous as Lord Sri Ramachandra.  The demon Hiranyakashipu undertook severe penance praying to Lord Bhrama and achieved numerous boons, later expressed extreme hostility towards his own son Prahlada, an ardent devotee of Lord Hari was pushed to alarming situations were protected by Lord Hari, none of the boons achieved from Lord Bhrama protected Hiranyakashipu hurling into Yamaloka, because he was enemy of Lord Hari and his devotees, had to meet terrible death in the hands of Nrisimha/half lion-half man incarnation of Lord Hari. If Lord Bhrama really wanted to protect Hiranyakashipu, will he be pushed to Yamaloka?.   Oh! Jeeva, the demon Ravana was an ardent devotee of Lord Mahadeva, achieved several boons after severe penances, offering heads on the sacrificial fire. Unfortunately, he had created enmity with Lord Sri Ramachandra caused the destruction of his entire clan, later he met terrible death in hands of Lord Rama, even Lord Mahadeva could not protect Ravana from his destruction. Oh! Jeeva, no deity is generous as Lord Sri Ramachandra, hence listen to me carefully, other deities are worshiped to achieve specific boons such as Puthra Pauthradhi, Dhanam, Griham, Dhanyam, appropriate bride as a wedded wife, etc., cannot provide Moksha or Sharanagathi. Oh! Tulsidas, there is no deity as compassionate and kind as Lord Raghunath, the mere utterance of his name ‘Rama’ would please him, won’t look for austerities or elaborate worship, he is too generous to his devotees who have taken shelter in him. Oh! Jeeva, practice the recitation of ‘Ramanama’ with pure love and devotion, that would please Lord Sri Ramachandra.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The significance of devotion

Chapter – 154 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – The significance of devotion

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, Lord Sri Raghuveer is pure and pleasant-natured, can be attainable with pure love and devotion, he gets easily pleased with the devotion and shower an abundance of love and compassion on the Jeeva, although he/she is Neecha/wicked. The scriptures highly speak about his generous nature, the legend of the ferryman Guha who was a hunter, have no knowledge or practice of devotion, has achieved nearness to Lord Rama, later considered him equal to younger brother Bharath, and embraced him affectionately. Did Guha perform any austerities or devotion? All that he showed pure love and dedication at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra. The Geedh Jatayu was born meat-eater, was he kind to other creatures? But Sri Ramachandra performed the final rite for him and provided the status of his father by offering Jalaanjali. The old woman Shabari who was born in the lowly clan, have not practiced any austerities or doesn’t have virtue, her pure love and devotion to Rama obliged him to consume the fruits tasted by her with great joy, later he praised that he had never eaten the fruit that has the greater taste given by Shabari not even in his home or in-laws. Vibheeshana who was the younger brother of Rakshasa Shathru Ravana arrived seeking shelter at your lotus feet was received with great love and embraced him. Oh! Jeeva, the Vanaras are born trifling natured, what was the austerities performed by them? It was believed that merely uttering the name or seeing them would bring ill-fortune, they have achieved great respect and love in the association of Lord Sri Ram, later they were brought to Ayodhya and honored for their dedication and love. Oh! Jeeva, Lord Sri Ramachandra is Kripalu, and kind to his devotees who have taken shelter at his lotus feet, all that he yearns to achieve pure love and devotion from his devotees, he is pleasant always, he is most promising and generous to distressed souls. Oh! Tulsi, leave your wickedness, and take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra,  contemplate and meditate with intense love and pure devotion.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Prabho is there any deity who dearly love and rush to protect the distressed Jeeva, leaving the fortunate ones behind? The female demon Poothana approached the infant Krishna to feed her poisonous bosom, surprisingly, Poothana has achieved the status of your mother Devi Yasodha by feeding the Kripalu Yadhavendhra Sri Krishna, who pulled out the Prana from her bosom, and liberated her from the Samsara. Oh! Prabho, you have been so kind to the Kamamohith Gopijana of the Vraja enlightened them with the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva/Jeevathma is Paramathma, thus you have alleviated their pain of separation from you, later the Jagathpitha Lord Bhrama highly eulogized the devotion of those cowherds of Vraja, and adorned the dust from their feet on his forehead. Oh! Prabho, Shishupala who was taking great pleasure in abusing you on a regular basis, achieved Paramagathi in the large assembly of Rajasuya of Pandava, while everyone was watching, his soul merged in you. Oh! Prabho, the hunter Dharuka who shot an arrow on your thumb of the foot got relieved from the Samsara, though he mistook your thumb as the Hiran/deer and shot an arrow was attained your supreme abode. Oh! Prabho, there were several Jeeva who committed various sins got liberated at your lotus feet, and they have performed Punya and Papa as well, therefore they deserved to achieve Sadhgathi. Oh! Prabho, once again you have proved your generous nature by accepting the Papamoorthi Tulsidas at your lotus feet.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, there is no deity as compassionate and kind as Lord Sri Hari who alleviates the sufferings of the Jeeva and liberates the Jeeva from the miserable/Dhukharopi ocean of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, the untamed elephant Gajendra was caught on the leg by the crocodile in the pond was cried out miserably, there was no one to protect him, and lost all his strength, finally stretched out its trunk for plucking the lotus flower, and cried out for your help. Oh! Prabho, you haven’t waited for a second, took hold of the Sudharshana Chakra, left the celestial vehicle Garuda, and rushed towards Gajendra. Oh! Prabho, Devi Dhraupadhi was humiliated in the large assembly of Kauravas, the wicked Dhusshasan dragged on her hair, and pulled out clothe was cried out miserably lifting hands up in the air “Oh! Bhagavan, protect me”, within seconds there was a mountain-sized clothe was appeared to protect her. Oh! Dheenavathsala, the deities, Siddhas, Ganas, intellectuals, Manushyas, and Munis have known your graciousness, hence they sincerely engage in the service of your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, you have liberated King Nriga who has assumed the form of lizard as a punishment for the sin committed to the twice-born, with the mere touch of your hand the King Nriga got back his original form and got liberated. Chapter – 151 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – Ramanama Mahima – The recitation of Ramanama for Mukthi/free from the sufferings of Samsara

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Lord Raghupathi you destroy the sufferings and grief of Samsara, you are Kripalu protects the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, you are the purifier of sinners. Oh! Prabho, you are too kind to the Jeeva who utter your sacred name ‘Rama’, even if he/she is Nirdhayi/unkind, Dhushta/wicked, Neechajathi/born in the lowly clan, penniless, and provides them your Parmadhama. Oh! Prabho, there were several sinners, like Gajendhra, an untamed elephant who was drenched in Bhoga and  Ullasa with the herd of elephants in the dense forest of Chitrakoot, was caught on the leg by a crocodile in the pond, invested all his strength, and the families to pull out the leg from the mouth of the crocodile went futile, cried out for supreme Lord Hari was protected. The prostitute Pingala who found helpless in later years of age took great care of a parrot bought from the house of the devotee of Lord Hari, that has the habit of utter the names of Lord Hari, which compelled Pingala to repeat the same with the parrot, thus she achieved Mukthi. The twice-born Ajamila went to collect the Samith got attracted to the prostitute in the dense wood and started to live with her for bodily pleasure, abandoning his own family, children, and aged parents, leaving all the Bhramanic rites, at the death bed the dreadful appearances of the emissaries of Yama made him call out for his younger son ‘Narayana’. Soon, the emissaries of Lord Hari appeared before him, eventually got liberated from the Samsara. Oh! Prabho, you have been too kind and compassionate to all those sinners who have regretted their sins committed in the latter years of age taken shelter at your lotus feet was got liberated from the sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Tulsidas, Janakiramana Sri Ramachandra provided Mukthi to all those souls who have taken shelter in his lotus feet, hence why not you?”

Chapter – 150 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – The significance of devotion to get rid of sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Raghuvamshamani, when did I achieve your compassionate grace, so that I can get rid of sufferings of Samsara and repeated births, like the hunter Valmiki who was living a pathetic life, stealing the wealth of travelers in the wood, and hunting down the animals was met the Sages in the forest and achieved their grace,  an untamed elephant Gajendra lived merrily with the herds of female elephants in the forest of Chitrakoot, took great pleasure in the pond was caught in the leg by a crocodile, although the family put great effort to save his life went futile, finally, lost his entire power and called out for Lord Hari was got liberated,  the twice-born Ajamila who have abandoned the Vedavihitha Karma and lived with the prostitute, while in the death bed cried out ‘Narayana’ for his younger son, to protect from the dreadful emissaries of Lord Yama was got liberated, in this way many more wicked and deceitful Jeevas got liberated from the dreadful Samsara? Oh! Prabho, when will you accept me as one of your devotees? when will you liberate me from the grief of Samsara? When will you accept this sinner, Dheena, Heena? Oh! Prabho, I have taken several births in different Yoni, and continued to perform various sinful deeds, did not follow any of the spiritual or religious deeds prescribed in the Veda and scriptures, kindly do not take them into your heart. Oh! Pathithapavan, you are unconquerable, you are the knower of all, you are prominent in various fields. Oh! Prabho, the protection of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet is one of your foremost vows and it is one of your remarkable virtues as well. Oh! Prabho, you are too compassionate to Jeeva, when will you shower your compassionate grace upon me? Oh! Prabho, my mind, and intellect are swollen with pride, jealousy, lust, desire, ego, and anger, I am surrounded by the dreadful enemies of interest in material well-being and bodily pleasure, Ahamkara, Mamakara, when will you destroy these wicked enemies and their clan, thereby protect me from the grief of Samsara? Or Do you expect me to achieve Gnana, Vijjana, and take up Yoga, Japa, Yajja, or do you look on my devotion at your lotus feet and protect me from the sufferings of Samsara? Or do you leave Tulsidas considering him as Neechashiromani/virtueless lacks austerities, Shamadhamadhi/Sadhanarahith, deceitful and wicked, swollen with Ahamkara, Mamakara, impurities of mind?  Oh! Prabho, if you abandon me after seeing the impurities in me, how do you prove your virtues sung by the Veda and scriptures? Hence, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me and protect me from the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra.”

Chapter – 149 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – Ramanama Mahima

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Raghuvamshamani,/precious gem in the clan of Raghu,  you are the purifier of the sinner, you are the destroyer of grief of Samsara, you are the protector of the Jeeva who has taken shelter at your lotus feet, hence where do I go leaving the shelter of your lotus feet? Oh! Raghunath, I have committed several sins that must have caused extreme displeasure in you, and I can understand that my Ahamkara and Mamakara and the impurities of mind must have roused anger in you, I have over-indulged in the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya of the Prakrithi, chasing for material welfare and bodily pleasure maybe that was the reason you have rejected pleas and turn me down from your compassionate grace, Oh! Karunasamudhra, I will not get disappointed, I will not stop pleading I will keep begging you why do not you look at me even after listening to my several cries. Oh! Prabho, you are Pathithapavana, have already promised to your devotees to protect them whoever taken shelter in you. Oh! Prabho, if you ask me to list out my desires, I would say I have one and only desire to achieve the nearness of you, live in your supreme abode and serve you relentlessly. Oh! Prabho, I am an unfortunate Jeeva drenched in the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara, excessive interest in Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa and Gandha, hence I understand that my desire to achieve the nearness of your lotus feet have been ruled out forever. Oh! Prabho, it is too difficult to achieve Moksha, or heavenly pleasure/Swarga, all that can be achieved only with the piousness earned in the life, I haven’t performed any austerities, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Astheyam, Arjjanam, Bhramacharya, Amthavichara, Swadhyaya, etc. I do not have Thithiksha, Dhrithi, Kshama, Shauryam, etc. then how could I achieve Moksha or Swarga? But I am certain that the recitation of ‘Ramanama’ would not allow the Jeeva hurl into Yamaloka, first of all, entry to the devotees of Lord Hari is forbidden in the Yamaloka, Lord Yama will not allow those Jeeva into his abode or near to it.  Oh! Prabho, after seeing all these, I feel I have no place to settle down, kindly tell me where do I go? Oh! Kosaladheesha, I am penniless and distressed Jeeva, I am feeling hopeless and anxious, Oh! Prabho, kindly allow me to settle down in the village where Pakshiraj Jatayu, ferryman Guha, untamed elephant Gajendra, hunter Valmiki has taken shelter.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Rama Nama Mahima – The graciousness of Lord Sri Ramachandra

Chapter – 148 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – Ramanama Mahima - The graciousness of Lord Sri Ramachandra

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, I am helpless, I have no one to protect me, Oh! Karunanidhe,  all that I want to achieve the nearness to your lotus feet by word, mind, and deeds. Oh! Prabho, I am drenched in the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, I am illusioned by the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya of Samsara, I have lost serenity of mind, I have lost abilities to achieve Gnana or Vijjana. Oh! Prabho, I have drenched in the material matters, possession, wealth, money, richness, fame, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion, constantly seeking material well-being and bodily pleasure, hence I have no desire of Moksha not even in my dreams. Oh! Prabho, I haven’t performed righteous deeds or charity or did not perform any religious or spiritual rites prescribed in the Veda, which provides heavenly abode, but greedy of those heavenly pleasures. Oh! Prabho, I have not performed any service to deities, or devotees of the Lord, or Mahathmas, I haven’t practiced the Hatyoga or other Yogic practices to achieve the serenity of mind, I haven’t performed any fire sacrifices/Yajja, Yaga to please the deities or offerings to please the deities, I haven’t practiced any rite to please other deities by offering sacrifice/Pranabali. Oh! Prabho, I have no ability to perform any of the above-mentioned rites to please the deities, Siddhas, or other deities, hence I cannot achieve the grace of them.  Oh! Prabho, the practice of meditation and contemplation is one of the methods of worship, even that too difficult for me to attain because there are already deities, Rishis, Sages, Lord Mahadeva, Shukha like honey-bees are waiting for their turn to taste the nectar from your lotus feet, hence I am an unfortunate Jeeva have no prospect for that too. Oh! Prabho, I have heard that you are Pathithapavan, your sacred name ‘Rama’ is capable to provide whatever desired by your devotees, even the simplest practice of recitation of ‘Ramanama’ became difficult for me because of my Ahamkara and Mamakara, compels me to think that after achieving knowledge in Veda and Vedanga, scriptures, and various sacred texts, I am reluctant to recite your sacred name ‘Rama’ due to Ahamkara. Oh! Prabho, I am an unfortunate Jeeva deserved to toss to hell, on top of that my deeds performed were rightful to throw me into Samsararoopi deep and dark well.  Oh! Prabho, at this point of time, all that I am remembering your kindness to ferryman Guha born in the lowly clan, Pakshiraja Jatayu, the untamed elephant Gajendra caught in the leg by the crocodile, and your sincere devotee Lord Hanuman, in this way I am getting rid of the fear for Janana and Marana, and keeping myself composed thinking that you were too kind to Pashu and Pakshi, why not to Tulsi? I am confident that the mere recitation of your sacred name ‘Rama’ would protect me from the grief of Samsara, and Garbhavasdhukha as well.”

Chapter – 147 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – Ramanama Mahima  - The recitation of Ramanama to get rid of Garbhavasa Dhukham

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, how did I appeal to you? Whenever I think of the sins committed by Man Vachana and Karma, I feel so disappointed and embarrassed, instantly the courage I have gathered to take shelter at your lotus feet slip out of my hand, I feel ashamed and guilty of myself.  Alas! I am not ashamed of revealing myself as your sincere devotee, singing in praise of your endless glories before the world, in a sweet tone, sadly in the very next moment, I indulge in Vishayaroopi Samsara, Shabdha, Sparasha, Rasa, Roopa, Gandha, unfortunately! my mind and intellect, Karma and Gnanendhriyas are not under my control, it keeps chasing after the material and bodily pleasure. Oh! Prabho, I present myself as a sincere devotee before the crowd, attired in crisp clothe, adorned in Tulsi beads on the neck, decorated beautiful vermilion and sandal paste on the forehead, singing in praise of your glories in melodious tone like a Mahathma, unfortunately, my mind and intellect has not stopped seeking pleasure in the worldly matters, and infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya. Oh! Prabho, I am a grave sinner, each and every single bodily hair is drenched in Mahapapa and its countless, even though I wish myself to be counted as one of your sincere devotees, and dreaming to become Santhshiromani/Mahathma. Oh! Prabho, I am so wicked and deceitful, seated on the mountain-sized Dhambha/pride, although I am an ignorant, I wish everyone to respect me and honor me as an intellectual, and consider myself as an ardent devotee of you. Oh! Prabho, but several times I have heard people saying that ‘He is Rambhola, he is Rama’s devotee’, I don’t know whether it is true or false, even I wish to hear the same always. Oh! Prabho, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon Tulsidas and protect the promise to your devotee, so that I would get rid of suffering of grief of Samsara, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Thapathraya, and ultimately from the grief of repeated births/Garbhavasa Dhukham as well.”

Chapter – 146 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – Ramanama Mahima - The recitation of Ramanama to get rid of Thapathraya

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Jeeva, contemplate and meditate upon the Supreme Lord Sri Raghunayak, who is pleasant, amiable and promising to the Jeeva who have taken shelter at his lotus feet; therefore, no deity is as benevolent as Sri Raghunath. The Lakshminath Lakshmiramana Anandhaghana Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Sri Ramachandra has endless virtues, destroys the three types of grief of the Jeeva, such as Adhidheivik grief caused by natural calamities, epidemics, drought, famine, etc. and the Adhibhauthik grief caused by the material matters, richness, fame, wealth, money, possession, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion, etc. and the Adhyathmik grief caused by aging, illnesses, and fear of death.  The recitation of his sacred name ‘Rama’ provides an abundance of piousness even to the Dhambi/arrogant, Kapati/deceitful, Neech/lowly, Dhukhi/depressed, Papi/sinner, Dhushta/wicked Jeeva, if they take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra achieves Paramapadham which is difficult to attain even for the deities. Oh! Jeeva, his Charanaroopi/feet resembles the red lotus flower which is the dwelling place of the Bhramaroopi/honey-bee like the mind and intellect of the Mahathma Santh who have no yearning for Moksha or Iha Paraloka Sukha. Oh! Tulsidas, leave your foolishness, why don’t you recite the glorious name of that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the savior of the distressed Jeeva?.”

Chapter – 145 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – Ramanama Mahima

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, there is no deity as promising as Lord Sri Raghupathi who ensure the protection of the Jeeva taken shelter in him, he is too compassionate and kind to his devotees, he is a protective shield of his devotees from the Thapathraya of theSamsara.  Oh! Oh! Jeeva, Lord Sri Ramachandra cannot bear the distress of his devotees, the Veda, and Scriptures highly eulogizes the glories of the Lord who rushed to attend his devotees in trouble, the legend of Gajendra Moksham, and Dhraupadhi Manasamrakshanam are perfect examples of his kindness,  the mere remembrance of his name is enough to get rid of the obstacles, he won’t wait and watch the struggle of his devotees, he releases the grief and sufferings of Samsara immediately. The noble souls, Mahathma freed from the impurities of the mind, interest in worldly matters, Viraktha, Vairagin eulogizes the glories of that supreme Lord in extreme bliss. Oh! Chapter – 143 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – The definition of Mahapurusha

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, take up the practice of devotion, fix your mind and intellect on the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, as it gets easily wedged on the materials matters, wealth, richness, fame, money, possession, attachment to children, wife, relatives, companions, etc., and the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya of the Samsara. The practice of worship and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Raghunath removes the Dhvandhabhava/dualities of grief and joy, happiness and sorrow, respect and disrespect, the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, etc. ultimately get rid of the interest in worldly matters and Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, Gandha, thereby the constant fear, anxiousness, and grief of Samsara vanishes. Oh! Jeeva, surrender at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra who is Anandhaghana Chathurashiromani Kosaladheesha to achieve the serenity of mind, get rid of grief of Samsara and Samsara Chakra/Garbhavasadhukham. The fortunate Jeeva undertakes Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Shaucham, Astheyam, Ahimsa, Bhramacharyam, Arjjavam etc.  and get rid of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, and worships Janakipathi Lord Sri Ramachandra and his devotees, preceptor, Santh Mahathma thereby achieve the grace of the supreme Lord. Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The fifteen practices to achieve Bhagavathprapthi/to get freed from the grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Chapter – 142 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – The fifteen practices to achieve Bhagavathprapthi/free from the grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj “Oh! Mind, leave your Ahamkara and Mamakara and take shelter at the lotus feet of Bhagavathroopi preceptor, the service to preceptor would provide nearness to Anandhadhan Bhagavan Sreehari. Oh! Mind, it is impossible to achieve the grace of Lord Srihari without pure love and devotion, although the supreme Bhramam reside as a soul in the heart which is the sole source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Chiththa, Ahamkara, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas, etc.  1) The foremost step of the Sadhana is the practice of pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra.  2) The second step of the sadhana is to leave the false perception and Dhvandhabhava/ dualities, Jeevathma is none other than Paramathma, and all the living and non-living things are the essences of supreme Bramham, and freely take up journey all over the Earth. The Supreme Lord Raghunath resides in the heart of Jeeva who is free from fears and anxieties, grief, and lust and desires/Shoka, Moha, Maya, Bhayarahitha, Ahamkara and Mamakara.  3) The third step of Sadhana is the Lakshminath Bhagavan Lord Sri Hari is Paramapurusha beyond Trigunas/Sathvik, Rajasik, and Tamasik, hence the nearness to that Lord Mukunda possible only if the Jeeva is free from the interest in Thrigunamayi Prakrithi/Ahamkara and Mamakara, otherwise it is impossible to achieve supreme bliss. The Jeeva who is drenched in the material matters, richness, wealth, money, fame, possession, attachment to family, children, wife, relatives and companions constantly undergo grief and sufferings in the absence of them, hence as long as the Jeeva is under the seize of Shoka, Moha, Maya, Bhaya, the achievement of Paramathmaroopi supreme bliss is impossible, the knowledge of self/Jeevathma is indestructible Purusha, and meditation and contemplation removes the impurities of Shoka, Moha, Maya, Bhaya, that would bring the Moksharoopi Paramanandha. 4) The fourth method of Sadhana is the performance of righteous deeds by words, mind, and Kriya, abandoning Ahamkara and Mamakara, it would remove the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha and Mathshcharya, to perceive that Athmaroopi Sacchidhanandhaghanaswaroopa Paramathma.  5) The fifth Sadhana is abandon the interest in infinite Shabdha, Saparsha, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandha, and interest in worldly matters, the Jeeva who take great pleasure in the infinite Nama Rooopa Dhrishya get thrown into the Samsararoopi deep well of ignorance and Samsarachakra.  6) The sixth Sadhana is abandon the enemies of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya to achieve the nearness of Janakinath Sri Ramachandra, and without the grace of that supreme Lord it is impossible to get rid of the impurities of the mind. 7) The seventh Sadhana is pondering over the rarest birth as a human which is made up of Sapthadhathu /Rasa, Rakth, Mamsa, Medha, Asthi, Majja, and Shukra, it is extremely difficult to achieve, Apavithra/impure, and Kshanbangura/fleeting nature. The fruitfulness of the achievement of the rarest birth as a human is to employ it for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings. 8) The eighth Sadhana is to understand that the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra is Apara Shakthi, beyond Prithvi, Jal, Vayu, Thej, Agni, Akasha, Man, Buddhi, Chithth, Ahamkara, etc. hence, if you want to attain the nearness of that supreme Bhramam/Apara Shakthi, that is pure bliss, unblemished, free from afflictions, and has no birth and death/fear, so it is essential to get rid of impurities and illusion. 9) The ninth Sadhana is striving for Athmakalyana/Thaththvichara/Athmamanthan while living in the human body made of nine gates/Navadhvarapuri, engage in austerities, Shama, Dhama, Shaucham, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Arjjavam, Astheyam, Bhramacharya, Ahimsa, etc. get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara. 10)The tenth Sadhana is practice control over Dasha Indhridyas, thereby achieve perfect control over the interest in infinite Shabdha, Sparsh, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandha. The Jeeva who has no control over any of the above-mentioned Nama Roopa Dhrishya, all those Sadhana practiced would go unfruitful, and impossible to achieve Bhgavathprapthi.  11) The eleventh Sadhana is take up selfless service to Lord Sri Hari and his devotees to get perfect control overs sense, it would release the Jeeva from the grief of Samsara and Janana Marana Chakra. 12) The twelfth Sadhana is always working for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings, it would remove the grief and sufferings of the Samsara like Ekadashi stands for austerities, and Dwadhashi emphasizes the performance of Charity. 13) The thirteenth Sadhana is contemplating and meditating upon the Supreme Lord on the three states of Jagrath/awaken, Swapna/dream, and Sushupthi/sleep, like the Thrayodhashi emphasizes the contemplation and meditation of Lord Mahadeva day and night.  The practice of meditation and contemplation/Ananya Bhakti would bring the Kripa of the all-pervasive Supreme Lord, although the Jeevathma is Paramathma like the ice holds water in it, and the tiny seed holds the huge tree, leaves, flowers, and fruit in it. Oh! Jeeva, the constant meditation and contemplation helps to perceive the all-pervasive Bramham resides as a soul in you. 14) The fourteenth Sadhana is the knowledge of the all-pervasive Bhramam, and Oneness in all, get rid of the Dhvandhabhava and perceive that Paramathma in all the living and non-living things, the omnipresent Bhramam represents living and non-living things in the Universe. As long as the Bedhabudhdhi continues, it is impossible to achieve the grace of supreme Lord Raghunath, or get rid of the sufferings of Samsara. 15) The fifteenth Sadhana is the worship of Lord Sri Hari with pure devotion and faith, and completely surrender at the lotus feet of Lord, to achieve the Paramarththa Thaththva, the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva is pure, unblemished, bliss, changeless, has neither birth nor death. The Prakrithi / material matters of infinite Nama, Roopa Dhrishya has fleeting nature, hence they cannot provide permanent bliss, as simple as the impermanent material matters cannot provide permanent bliss. This Paramarththa Thaththva would bring the serenity of mind, oneness-in-all, removes Ahamkara and Mamakara as well. The knowledge of self/Jeevathma is Paramathma would remove Dhaivik, Dheihik, and Bhauthik Thapa/Thapathraya of the Jeeva.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Jeeva, if you want to achieve Bhagavathprapthi, and get rid of the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra, follow the above-mentioned fifteen methods of Sadhana. The Veda, Purana, illustrious Rishis and Sages, recommend the meditation and contemplation upon the supreme Lord is the only way to achieve the serenity of mind and get rid of Thapathraya and Samsara Chakra. Oh! Jeeva, you have achieved the rarest birth as a human and the fruitfulness of it to engage in the austerities for Bhagavath Prapathi, and get rid of the grief of Samsara/Bhavabhaya, and make sure not to hurl into Garbhavasa Dhukham again and again. The worship of Lord Hari, meditation, and contemplation would remove the false perception, dualities, fear, and anxieties.  Oh! Jeeva, the Sadhana is impossible to achieve without the grace of Lord Hari, preceptors, Santh Mahathma, hence take shelter in the association of Sadhu Santh Mahathma, undertake austerities, get rid of impurities of the mind. The lotus feet of preceptor and Santh Mahathma resembles the safest ferry to cross the unfathomable ocean of Samsara/Bhavasagara. Oh! Tulsidas, get on the ferry of Santh Mahathma, serve them relentlessly to achieve nearness to supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, thereby get rid of grief of worldly existence and repeated births as well.”

Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The practice of devotion to get rid of the grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Chapter – 141 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – The practice of devotion to get rid of the grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Jeeva, what was that magnanimous deed you have performed after achieving the rarest birth as a human? You haven’t followed a single word prescribed in the Veda and Scriptures, or did not follow the austerities, Japa, Thapa, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shaucham, Astheyam, Bhramacharya, Dhanam, Arjjavam, Ahimsa, Shama, Dhamam, etc. Oh! Jeeva, this Samsraroopi huge Vruksha has deep roots of Dhavitharoopi/dualities like joy and grief, sorrow and happiness, respect and disrespect, and it has full of Bhayaroopi thorn and the Dhukharoopi succulent fruits. Samsara is a mere illusion/Mithyaroopi Mrigathirshna, it has nothing to offer other than grief, the attachment to the possession, wealth, richness, fame, money, and children, wife, relatives, and companions, etc. has fleeting nature, it cannot follow you after death, in fact, it would leave you while you are alive, pushing you in deep distress and grief in the absence of them. The Maya/illusion cannot be removed without the devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, the serenity of mind cannot be achieved without taking shelter at his lotus feet. Oh! Ignorant, you haven’t practiced devotion to get rid of the grief of Samsara and the Samsarachakra. You haven’t taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachadhra resembles the safest ferry to cross the Ajjanaroopi/Mithyaroopi Samsara of the unfathomable ocean. Oh! Ignorant, haven’t tired of taken birth in different Yonis of Mriga, Pakshi, reptiles, worms, Manushya, Devatha, Rakshasa, etc.? Oh! Jeeva, you have swollen with Amhamkara, Mamakara, lust, desire, pride, ego, jealousy, and anger, didn't think of the welfare of others. You haven’t taken up austerities, Shamadhamadhis to get rid of impurities of the mind, you haven’t practiced pure devotion and faith upon the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in you, and you haven’t achieved the serenity of mind or relief from the grief of Samsara. You have forgotten your preceptor, Matha, Pitha, Lord Sri Ramachandra by words, mind, and deeds. Oh! Tulsidas, hope you will remember the nobleness of Lord Sri Ramachandra who have provided shelter to Geedh/Jatayu like lowly creatures, it will protect you as well.”

Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – No creature is free from fear, hunger, thirst, the desire for physical relationship and sleep, you have achieved the rarest birth as a human, which is difficult to attain even for the deities, unfortunately you have spent your whole life drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara

Chapter – 140 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  – No creature is free from fear, hunger, thirst, desire for physical relationship and sleep, you have achieved the rarest birth as a human, which is difficult to attain even for the deities, unfortunately, you have spent your whole life drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, what’s the benefit of the precious birth as a human, if it was not used for the welfare of others by words, mind, and deed? The Vishayijeeva get drenched in the worldly matters of infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, attachment to wife, children, relatives, companions, Ahamkara and Mamakara, lust, desire, ego, pride, jealousy and anger, constantly undergoes grief and sorrows, ultimately shove themselves to hell and Janana Marana, and the cycles of birth and death continues. Oh! Mind, you have adopted various means to calm, but all those methods were pointless, even after knowing the Paramarththa Thaththva/knowledge of Athman, all-pervasive Bramham resides as a soul is indestructible Purusha and all the material matters/Prakrithi has fleeting nature, Jeevathma is Paramathma, etc. you are not willing to accept them. Oh! Jeeva, you have drenched in the darkness of ignorance, have been chasing after material well-being and bodily pleasure, you have followed your mind voice, seeking pleasure in Parasthree/strange women, Paradhan/other’s wealth, and created enemies. Oh! Ignorant, you have suffered a lot/Garbhavasadhukha while you were in the womb of your mother, you have undergone hellish torture in the tiny dark space in the mother’s womb, hanging upside down the head on the excreta piled up on the worms. Alas! you have forgotten all those painful days in your life, preparing yourself to thrown into the Garbhavasudhukha once again, by committing various sins. Oh! Jeeva, none is free from fear, hunger, thirst, desire for physical relationship and sleep, you have achieved the rarest birth as a human, which is difficult to attain even for the deities, unfortunately, you have spent the whole life drenched in Ahamkara, Mamakara, lust, desire, ego, pride, anger and jealousy, you haven’t taken shelter at the lotus feet of the Sacchidhanandharoopa Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in you, in this way, you have ruined the most precious birth achieved after several merits of previous births. Oh! Jeeva, we haven’t taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, we didn’t get rid of Dhvandhabhava/dualities of respect and disrespect, sorrow, and happiness, grief, and joy, etc. did not achieve the serenity of mind, and redundant thoughts, due to impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara. Oh! Tulsidas, what is the use of being apologetic after losing the precious birth as a human? Hence, practice devotion and sing in praise of Supreme Lord, and recite the Ramanama and make your life fruitful.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, the human body is perishable, and it has momentary life of water bubbles, it undergoes a constant transformation of aging, illnesses, and ultimately death, it is like the raw mud pot that has a short life, you have considered yourself as Ajara/unconquerable, and Amara/indestructible and began chasing after material welfare, bodily pleasure, wealth, possession, fame, money, and richness, attachment to wife, children, companions, and relatives, drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara, you have drawn towards worldly matters and completely forgotten the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathama Parambhramam resides as a soul in you is the sole source of the functioning of mind, intellect, Chiththa, Prana, Ahamkara, Karma and Gnanendhriyas etc. Oh! Ignorant, you haven’t realized that the death is dancing above your head, tell me who was not interested in the Puthra/children, Sthree/wife, wealth, Prithvi/possession, etc.? who did not take pride in it? Who owned it all those for real? Is that followed them even afterlife? Hence it is a mere illusion, all the Nama Roopa Dhrishya has fleeting nature, it cannot give permanent happiness. This Earth was ruled by several Kings, they have battled against neighboring countries and achieved immense wealth and fame, had stately life with several wives and children, attendants to serve, etc.  finally had to get caught in the hands of ‘Time’/death, and departed this world empty-handed, leaving all those stately pleasures. Oh! Ignorant, do not take pride in the possession, wealth, richness, fame, money, family, etc. it has temporary life, and all those cannot accompany you at the time of death, and none of them will be with you forever, hence either you have to abandon or vice versa. None of the Jeeva is free from the clutches of sufferings of Samsara /Thapathrya and Yama/death. Oh! Jeeva, ponder over the eternal truth of the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam Paramathma resides as the soul is indestructible Purusha and the destructible Prakrithi/ material matters and people that were emphasized in Veda and scriptures. Oh! Tulsi, contemplate and meditate upon that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra who is beloved of Lord Mahesha.”
