Sri Guru Sthuthi: – Lyrics and meanings

I shall reverentially prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is absolute truth and eternal bliss, he imparts the knowledge of self for the welfare of living beings, I shall repeatedly prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is eulogized by Veda and Vedantha, he symbolizes supreme knowledge and wisdom, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is serene, he is beyond human intellect, he is incomprehensible, he is unfathomable, he  purifies the soul, he is modest, he is most revered, he is the provider of honor, he should be eulogized by sacred chants, he is supreme Yogin, he imparts the  supreme knowledge and wisdom thereby make his disciple wise, he is the source of smooth functioning of Universe and its living beings, he imparts the knowledge of following ones own Dharma/performance of rite according to the Varnnam known as Bhramin, Kshathriya, Vaishya and Shudhra, and the significance of the same, he is safest heaven to the distressed people, he is calm, contented and firm in judgment, he is wise, he eradicates miseries and grief of the worshiper, he has divine effulgence,  I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who  is eternal ,  and pure , he is divine personified, he is Universal spirit, he is unblemished, he is the source of supreme wisdom and knowledge, he is Universal Preceptor who symbolizes eternal bliss.  I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is absolute truth, he imparts the knowledge of supreme knowledge of self, he is permanent bliss, I shall meditate upon supreme Preceptor who is absolute bliss, he is void of passion, he is Jagathguru, he is eternal, he is flawless, he has no specific form, he is void of properities, he resides as soul in living beings, he eradicates all the uncertainties of the worshiper, his mesmerizing form brings harmony in the worshiper, he is not perceivable through senses, I shall always meditate upon that Guru who is Eshvara, I shall mediate upon the supreme Preceptor, envisage him on the middle of lotus like my heart, seated on the precious gem decorated throne, he is divine personified, he has the luster of moon, he is the provider of happiness, and he fulfils all the desires of the worshiper.  I shall prostate before the lotus feet of supreme Preceptor who is beyond human intellect or words.

I shall reverentially prostrate the Supreme Preceptor who symbolizes Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu and Lord Maheshvara, he is Parambhrama, he is eternal bliss, he is the provider of all kinds of auspiciousness to worshiper, he symbolizes wisdom and knowledge, he is beyond passion, he is omnipresent /represents heaven, he is absolute truth, he is eternal, pure, and imperishable, he witnesses the whole Universe and its living beings, he is beyond Universe, he is void of properties, I shall prostrate before Sadhguru who imparts the knowledge of supreme Bhramam, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who symbolizes Ajjanam/black ink used for decoration  to the eyes  of the people whose eyes are blind with the darkness of ignorance, and he offers pure vision,  I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor  who is supreme consciousness, serene, and eternal, he is omnipresent, he is unblemished, he is beyond Nadhabindhu, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who symbolizes Akhandamandalakaram/whole of Universe, and he is all pervading, he represents Chara and Achara as well/living and non living, hence I am fortunate to witness those lotus feet, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is all pervading, he represents Universe and its living and non-living things, hence I am fortunate to witness those lotus feet, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who symbolize pure thought, he is all pervading and dwells in living and non-living things, he is unbound, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who symbolizes Sacchidhananda/Sath Chith Anandham, he is Paramathma who is all pervading, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is the source of permanent bliss, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who symbolizes Gnanshakthi, he is adorned in sacred philosophies as garlands, he is the provider of Bhukthi/welfare and happiness, and Mukthi/liberation from repeated births to worshiper, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor who is capable to burn the accumulated Karmas of the worshiper, I shall prostrate before supreme Preceptor with the influence of my  petite knowledge. The supreme preceptor should be worshiped with intense devotion and meditation, his lotus feet should be venerated, he should be eulogized by sacred chants and his compassionate grace is the ultimate source of Moksha.
