crescent moon, he is the symbol of kindness, he is venerated by Maharishi
Narada and Rishis and Sages, he is attired in directions as garments. I shall
meditate upon supreme Lord Kalabhairava who dwells in the sacred city of Kashi,
he has the brilliance of crores of Adithyas, he guides the living the beings to
cross the ocean of Samsara effortlessly, he is beyond perception, he has bluish
throat, he fulfills all the desires of his passionate devotees, he has three
eyes, he is death of Lord Yama/Kalakala, his eyes has beautiful crimson color
resembles to lotus flower, he is wielded in trident. I
shall meditate upon supreme Lord Kalabhairava who dwells in the sacred city of
Kashi, he is wielded in Trident, Damaru, Pasham and spear, he is the cause for
the Universe and its living beings, he is Neelakanda/shyamakanda/he has bluish
throat, he is primordial, he is eternal/niramayam, he is unharmed by any kinds
of illnesses, he is ferocious, he is fond of performance of unique cosmic dance
form. I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Kalabhairava who dwells in the
sacred city of Kashi, he is the provider of Bhakthi/devotion as well as
Mukthi/salvation, he is charismatic, he is most desirable to his devotees, and
he is eternal, he has Prapancha as body, he is decked in various golden bells
on his waist which makes jingling noises.

city of Kashi, he protects righteousness and destroys immorality, he liberates the
living beings from Karma and worldly bondage, he is the provider of
auspiciousness and happiness, he has golden complexion. I shall meditate upon supreme Lord

powerful wall of Bhramanda with his boisterous voice, he destroys the sins of
his devotees with his auspicious grace, he is unassailable, he is the provider
of Ashta Siddhis/eight kinds of super natural powers to his devotees, he is

shall meditate upon supreme Lord Kalabhairava who dwells in the sacred city of
Kashi, he is the commander of Bhoothaganas, he is the provider of eternal fame,
he destroys the Punya/merits and sins of the people who lives in the sacred city of
Kashi and provides liberation from the repeated births, he guides the devotees
through the righteous path, he is primeval, he is the Lord of Universe.
Whoever reads or listens to the glorious verses of
Kalabhairavashtakam which is capable to destroy sorrow, distress, desire, misfortune,
anger, greed and guilt etc… would remain blessed with refined wisdom and
knowledge, abundance of meritorious rewards, ultimately liberation from the
repeated births.
