Sri Kapaleeshvara Mangalashtakam – Lyrics and meanings

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Kapaleeshvara who is well-known for carrying skull on his hand, he is Shekhara who is  decked in crescent moon on matted hair locks, he is attired in skin of elephant , his eyes resembles to  ocean of mercy, he is most celebrated by illustrious and virtuous, he is closest companion and exceed the splendor of Lord of wealth/Kubera, he is worshiped by Lord Ganesha.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Kapaleeshvara who is decorated in venomous serpent as ornament, he eradicates the  fears of unfathomable ocean of Samsara, he is supreme Lord who eradicates all kinds of fears and provides abundance of happiness, he is Lord of Lords, he has Lord Surya, Lord Chandra and Lord Agni as eyes, he is worshiped by Goddess Rama and Lord Madhava, he is obtained by Goddess Uma, he is adorned by Goddess Earth/Madhavi, he is Mahaguru/preceptor of the Universe, he is wielded on Mount Meru as bow, he  dwells in caves, he is highly confidential and not perceivable through senses, he is fond of mountain peaks and serpents, he is the provider of abundance of boons to worshiper,  he is beloved of Suras, he has the brilliance of Surya, he is worshiped by Surendhra/Lord Indra.   I shall repeatedly prostrate before Lord Maheshvara who bestow the honor of Narendhra, he is Maheshvara who is the Lord of the Universe and its living beings, he is Sureshvara who is the Lord of deities, he symbolizes wealth/Dhaneshvara, he is most desirable Lord of the worshiper/Priyeshvara, he is the Lord of dense woods/Vaneshvara, he dwells in the intellect of virtuous people, he is Parathpara, he assumed the form of Pramaththa/insane, he is eminent/exceptional/magnificent/distinguished/, he is a great instructor to the people who engages in unpleasant and disagreeable deeds, he is deserved to be meditated, he is worshiped by Lord Yama and Murari, he is personified as Thripurari who symbolizes auspiciousness and he is destroyer of demons, he is mighty Lord who has the brilliances of thousands and millions of Adithya, he is Mrida who is always worshiped by Chandikesha, he has very pleasing disposition and he spreads extreme delight, he eradicates differences of opinion, he is Para who is  perceptible through the philosophies, he symbolizes extreme delight who is engrossed in the performance of cosmic dance, he is the source of purification of the Universe, he is deserved to be eulogized, he is  primary cause, he is surprising and considerable, therefore I shall surrender to the lotus feet of Lord Kapaleeshvara.  Oh! Mahendhra who is an exceptional gem, I am completely drenched in sins, he is mounted on the mighty bull/Mahavrishendhra, he is venerated by deities, serpents and Sage Pathanjali, he symbolizes sun and fire, he has assumed the form of silly ingredients, he is worshiped by son of Sage Mrikandu, his lotus feet is prostrated by wretched and depraved people.  I shall prostrate before Lord Kapaleeshvara who is Mahamathi who symbolizes supreme knowledge and wisdom, he is the provider of abundance of boons and fulfils the desires of  his worshipper, he eradicates worldly bondages of his worshiper, he is Vibhu who dwells in the highest mountain peak  with his consort Goddess Parvathi/daughter of mount Himavan, he has the valor of Mrigendhra, he explore in the sky, he is eternal bliss, he is imperishable, he is the dearest consort of Kalpakambika who is supremely gorgeous.  The above are the glorious verses composed by the disciple of Goodakanchi Ramakrishna Yogi, praising the splendor of Lord Kapaleeshvara, it is highly meritorious to recite or listen during propitious hours of Mahapradhosha, and it is always promising to mumble theses auspicious verses of Kapali Mangalashtakam.  The glorious verse of Kapali Mangalashtakam provides contentment, it guides us through the righteous path, it will fulfill all the desires of the worshiper and it provides various supernatural powers, whoever reads or listens to the above marvelous verses in front of Lord Kapaleeshvara with utmost faith and devotion would be blessed with all kinds of auspiciousness, long life and good health.
