Eshvara spoke “ Oh! Parvathi Priyanandhana/dearest son of Parvathi, kindly be seated I shall narrate the highly confidential myth to you.  Goddess Maha Thripurasundhari ,Devi Parashakthi who is the source of  Universe and its living beings, she is the essence of Sathvam, Rajas and Thamas, eventually Prakrithi was originated, she is the source of Universe, she is cause for the deluge of Universe and its living beings, she preserves the living beings and eradicates all kinds illnesses, she symbolizes Icchashakthi, Gnana Shakthi, and  Kriyashakthi, she is the female force of Bhrama, Vishnu, and Shiva, she represents  Shrishti/creation, Sthithi/preservation and Vinashini/deluge, she undertakes the function of creation as Bhrama, she undertakes the function of preservation as Vishnu, she undertakes the function of destruction as Rudra, these process continues from the origin of Universe, and the practice of creation and  destruction takes place repeatedly, I shall narrate the thousands of sacred names which are highly propitious to the three worlds, carefully listen to me.”
