||Sri Shodasha Ganapathi sthavam ||


I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Ganesha, these are the glorious sixteen sacred names of Lord Ganesha, firstly Balavighnesha who has most desirable child like form, second is Tharunaganapathi who is vigorous  and youthful, third is Bhakthavighnesha who eradicates miseries and perils of the worshiper, fourth is Veeravighnaka who is extremely valorous and can be formidable causing impediments even to deities, fifth is Shakthivighnesha who is wielded in powerful weapon Shakthi, sixth is Dhvijaganadhipa who is twice born and commander of Ganas, seventh is Pingalam who has reddish – brown complexion, and eighth is Ucchishtanayaka who holds sweet pudding on both the hands, ninth  is Vighnarajendhra who receives initial veneration and oblation from fire sacrifices, tenthly Kshipradhayaka who gets easily pleased by the worship and showers abundance of boons on worshiper, eleventh is Heramba, twelfth is Lakshminayaka who is beloved of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, thirteenth is Mahasamjjam who is unconquerable and he symbolizes triump, fourteenth is Bhuvanesha who is  Lord of Universe, fifteenth is Nriththakhya who symbolizes dance, sixteenth is  Urdhaganadhipa who is the chief commander of Ganas, above are the glorious sixteen sacred names praising the splendor of Vighnaraja, whoever reads or listens to it would  attain Dharma/righteousness, Arththa/wealth, Kama/desires and Moksha/liberation from repeated births.

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Subramanya, these are the glorious sixteen sacred names of Lord Subramanya who is adorned in Gnanashakthi/spear, he is Skandha who has most mesmerizing features, he is Devasenapathi who is the commander of warrior of deities, he is Subramanya who is absolute Bhramam, he is mounted on elephant, he was born in reeds, he is Karthikeya who was brought by six maiden of Karthika, he is Kumara who is youthful always, he is Shanmukha who has six faces, he is the slayer of Tharakasura, he is Senani who is the chief commander of deities, he is Bhramashastha who is absolute Bhramam, he is beloved consort of Goddess Valli, he has most desirable form as child, he crushed the pride of Mount Krauncha, he has peacock as celestial vehicle, above are the glorious sixteen sacred names praising the splendor of Lord Shanmukha, Oh! Mahamune, whoever reads or listens to it would get relieved from severe sins.
