Chapter -6 – Gnani and Universe
Sage Ashtavakra enlighten the knowledge
of the practice of ‘Laya Yoga to the King Janaka, after practicing the Laya
Yoga, King explains his experiences. King
Janaka speaks “Oh! Maharishi, The supreme knowledge is, I am the part of that
all-pervasive supreme Bhramam, which is eternal, and vast as the sky, the
Universe/Prapancha is the essence of Triguna/Sathvik, Rajasik and Thamasik,
like a mud pot, has impermanent nature. Therefore I have no need to wedge with
the Universe/Prapancha or abandon or cause deluge/Laya of it. The intellectuals
who have a profound knowledge of the all-pervasive Bhramam, do not get
attached to the Universe/ Prakrithi which has restrictions and destructible in
nature. The supreme Bhramam is like a
vast ocean, and the Universe/Prapancha created with the Trigunas are powerful waves
is the eternal truth. Therefore I need not get attached to it, or discard it or
cause Laya of it. The supreme knowledge
is Bhramam is vast, like the seashell and the silver-like pearls, as the
Prapancha, therefore I need not get attracted to it, or discard it or cause
Laya of it. The supreme Bhramam is all-pervasive, it represents living and
non-living things, it is the eternal truth, and therefore I need not get
attached to that destructible Prakrithi, or discard it and cause Laya of it.

Chapter -7 – Anubhava Panchakam
King Janaka speaks “Oh! Mune, the Bhramam
is the vast ocean of supreme bliss; the Athman is the part of that supreme
Bramham, the redundant thoughts like the wind causes the movements of the ferry
like Vishwam. Therefore, the Athmajjyani does not give importance to the movements
of the ferry like Vishwam/Universe which holds less importance in the vast
ocean of supreme Bhramam. The Athmajjyani does not take interest in worldly
matters or bondage; remain a sole witness like the supreme Bhramam. The
Athmajjyani considers the powerful waves like redundant thoughts which rises
and subsides on the surface of the ocean; it has no gain or no loss to offer. The Universe/Prapancha in the vast ocean like
supreme consciousness is Bhavanajanitham/which is born out of
imagination/illusion/ignorance. The supreme Bhramam is serene, and it has no
specific form but it can be experienced. The body that constantly undergoes
transformation and ruin is vested on the supreme Bhramam/soul. The supreme Bhramam is pure and
unblemished. It is free from impurities
like Ragadhvesha, it is independent, serene, and absence of passion. The mind
and intellect constantly wedge with the actions, emotions, worldly matters,
possessions, welfare, people, fame, wealth, etc. The supreme soul resides as a soul in the body causes the functions of Gnana and Karmendhriyas, mind,
intellect, and Ahamkara, although it remains pure and unblemished. Oh! Mune, it
is surprising to note that, I am that supreme consciousness, the body is
destructible, the Athman/soul is indestructible, the Universe/Prapancha like
the ‘world of the circus’, all that we are seeing is a mere illusion, therefore I
have nothing to get attached or abandon.
