Preceptor speaks “ Yogi  undertakes Dhyananishta and austerities, get rid of impurities like Kama, Krodha, Moha, Lobha, Madha, and Mathscharya, interest in worldly matters and bondage, achieves the supreme state of Samadhi which is Anandharasanubhava immerses in the contemplation upon supreme Bhramam and achieves union with it. The Nirvikalpasamadhi would destroy Vasanagrandhi/attributes, Triguna, and all those Karma and Karmavasana gets destroyed, the Sadhaka perceives the all-pervasive Bhramam in everything and remain in a state of bliss. The practice of 1)Shravanam/listening to scriptures, Veda and Vedantha 2) Mananam/contemplation upon the supreme Bhramam 3) Nidhinyasa/practice of Shamadhamadhi, would bring an abundance of pieties. Shravana, Manana, and Nidhinyasa provides multitudes of piousness to the Sadhaka. The Nirvikalpasamadhi has countless benefits, and brings an abundance of virtues to the Sadhaka, hence the Jeeva who have experienced Nirvikalpasamadhi even for a second are highly fortunate.  It is the superior state where the mind becomes completely get freed from redundant thoughts, which is extremely difficult to achieve, in this state the Sadhaka experience the Bhramathathva/free from afflictions, and remains in a state of bliss. The practice of withdrawal of interest in worldly matters and attachments to possessions, wealth, fame, money, richness, people, etc., and fix the mind and intellect upon the supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, is Samadhi to get rid of ignorance and impurities of the mind. The practice of Samadhi provides the ‘Athmanubhoothi’, it shed light on the ‘Athman’ which is covered under the Maya/Vasanas/Triguna/impurities accumulated in several births. The first and forest step in the Yoga is 1) the practice of control over the mind, words, and deeds, 2) do not expect anything from others or do not chase after material pleasure 3) avoid dullness, lethargy, foolishness, and laziness and 4) live in solitude. If the Sadhaka does not practice any of these important steps of Yoga, cannot practice Samadhi or thereby achieve Athmanubhoothi. Oh! Mune, living in solitude is the best practice to achieve good control over sense, further the practice of Dhama, Niyama, Yama, Shama, Sathyam, Shaucham, etc. would bring an abundance of fruitfulness to the Sadhaka. It removes the Vasanas/Triguna, Ahamkara, and interest in worldly matters, eventually the Sadhaka experience Athmanandha. The lack of interest in worldly matters and bondage, absence of Ahamkara is enough to achieve the serenity of mind, the Sadhaka continues to practice Yamaniyamadhis, in due course of time achieves the union with the Bhramam. Chiththanirodha/Chiththavilaya is the state of bliss. The Yogi practice to merge the words, deeds, and mind in the Paramathma, and achieve Paramashanthi, he/she practices good control over senses, Prana, Manas, Indhriyas, mind, and intellect, follow strict austerities, thus get freed from the above Upadhi, and Vriththi/deeds, remains in the supreme state of Sadhanandharasa/eternal bliss.”
