– 1 – Sri Manirathna Mala – 1 – 5
The disciple speaks “Oh! Guro Oh! Kripalu,
kindly remove my qualms and trepidations, who is the ultimate shelter place to
the Jeeva drenched in the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence, with the excessive
interest in worldly matters, richness, fame, wealth, money, attachment to wife,
children, relatives, companions, etc.?
The preceptor speaks “The lotus feet of the Vishweshwa/the supreme Lord
who are the essence of the Universe and living and non-living things is the one and
only shelter place to protect the Jeeva from the unfathomable ocean of Samara.
The lotus feet of the Jagatheeshwara are the safest ferry to cross the ocean of
worldly existence.”
The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, who is
Badhdha/restrained/ enslaved? What is Moksha? Who is Vishayanuragi? How did the
Jeeva achieve Vimukthi from the Vishya Visha? Which is the
Ghoranaraka/extremely hellish? Which is called ‘Swarga’/heaven?”
The Preceptor speaks “ 1) Badhdha is the one who completely drenched in
the material matters such as wealth, richness, money, possession, fame, and attachment
to wife, children, relatives and companion, body and I consciousness, which has
fleeting nature. All the material matters undergo constant transformation and ruin,
the ignorant Jeeva who is attached to the destructible Prakrithi/matters,
undergo miseries in the absence of the same or the loss of it. Thus, the Jeeva
who constantly chases after material welfare and sensual pleasures undergoes
miseries and sorrows of worldly existence is’ Badhdha’. 2) The Moksha is the
state free from dualities of happiness and sorrow, grief and joy, grace and disgrace,
respect, and disrespect. The Mumukshu is free from the above-said dualities with
the practice of Shamadhamadhi, Nidhidhyasa, get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha,
Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, interest in worldly matters and bondage,
and body and I consciousness achieves the state of ‘Moksha’. 3) The
Vishayanuragi is the one who constantly engages in appeasing the sense, take
extreme pleasure in the material matters of destructible nature. 4) The
Vimukthi/freedom from the Vishayavishaya/toxic poison like the interest in
destructible matters of Prakrithi completely remove constant miseries and
sorrows in the absence or separation of the grief of the same. The Vimukthi from the Vishayavisha is possible with the nearness of preceptor, the practice
of Nidhidhyasa, Shamadhamadhi, austerities, vows, 0bervance of celibacy,
Athmavichara, meditation, and contemplation, strictly following the command of
the preceptor, etc. would remove the interest in worldly matters and bondage, the Virakthi /abandonment of the above could
provide the serenity of mind. 5) The Ghora Naraka is the forgetfulness of the
Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, is the sole source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Ahamkara, Prana, Chiththa, Karma and
Gnanendhriyas, the forgetfulness of ‘Oneness-in-all’, and the lack of knowledge
of ‘self and the all-pervasive Bhramam symbolizes Universe and its living and
non-living things. The ignorant Jeeva gets drenched in material matters, swollen
with the pride of I and body consciousness, and undergoes sufferings of hell. 6)
The Swarga/heaven is the absence of Thrishna/desires.”
The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, kindly
enlighten me, what’s the cause of Samsara/Samsarahethu and how to cut off them?
What is the source of Moksha? Which is the gateway to hell? What’s that provide
eternal bliss to living beings and gateway to Swarga?”
The preceptor speaks “1) The interest in
worldly matters and bondages are the cause for the sufferings of worldly
existence. The ignorance causes the attachment to material matters such as fame,
money, wealth, possession, richness, attachment to wife, children, companions, and relatives that have impermanent nature. The nearness to the preceptor, the practice
of Shamadhamadhi, austerities, vows, celibacy, Athmavichara, Swadhyaya,
meditation and contemplation upon the supreme Lord, thereby achieve ‘Athmabodham’/knowledge
of self / Athma is Paramathma is the only way to cut off the Samsara. 2) Moksha
can be achieved from the above said Nidhidhyasa and knowledge of all-pervasive
Bramham resides as a soul in the Jeeva/knowledge of self. 3) The gateway to hell
is the lust for the woman, and constant remembrance of the same, and an insatiable
desire for sensual pleasure hurls the Jeeva to hell and repeated cycles of
birth. 4) The practice of non-violence and Oneness-in-All is the gateway to
Moksha and permanent bliss.”
The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, who achieves
good and peaceful sleep? Who is Jagarththi/wakeful? Who are the enemies of the
Jeeva? Who are the companions of the Jeeva?”
The preceptor speaks “ 1) The Yogi, Mumukshu,
Mahathma, noble-souls, who have achieved the union with the supreme
Parameshwara Paramathma with the practice of Samadhinishta attains peaceful
sleep. 2) The wakeful Jeeva is the Viveki/intelligent one who understand the disparities
between Sath/indestructible Purusha resides as soul and Asath/destructible
Prakrithi and material matters. These are Mumukshus do not get attached to the
material matters and bondage, always be alert 3) The Karma and Gnanendhriyas are
the biggest enemies of the Jeeva, the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, body, etc. that gets easily wedged into the objects and matters
which provides comforts, eventually compels the Jeeva chases after them due to
lack of knowledge of ‘self’, ultimately hurls into sufferings in the absence of
the same 4) The biggest companion of the Jeeva are the Karma and Gnanendhriyas if
that was utilized to achieve the Paramathma Parambhramam resides as soul,
Oneness-in-all, get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha,
Mathshcharya, and achieve the union with the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam that
is eternal bliss.”
The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, who is
Pauper? Who is the wealthiest? Who is the burden on the Earth? What’s that immortality?”
The preceptor speaks “1) The Papuer is the
one who is afar from the ‘Athma Thaththva’, the Jeeva who lacks the knowledge
of ‘self’, the knowledge indestructible Purusha and destructible Prakrithi.
Thereby chases after material welfare, sensual pleasure, and undergoes miseries
and sorrows of worldly existence. 2) The wealthiest are the Mumukshu, Mahathma,
noble-souls who have achieved the Paramarththa Thaththva, with the tireless practices
of Shamadhamadhi, austerities, and Tapasya, remain contented and blissful
always. 3) The Jeeva who did not strive to achieve any one of these four
Purusharththa 1) Dharma, 2) Arththa, 3) Kama, and 4) Moksha is the burden on the
Earth. 4) The Amrithaththva/immortality is the serenity of mind, the sense of
contentment, and bliss, free from desires and impurities such as Kama, Krodha,
Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, free from the fears and anxieties of
death, and redundant thoughts as well.”
