Chapter -57 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika  - Ulookhala Bandhanam – Vamana Avathar – Ganika Jeevanthi - Ramanama Mahima

 

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Srihari, you are benevolent, forgets your superiority, and rushes to protect your devotees, you are Bhakathaparadheena, do not miss the single cries of your devotees, you cannot bear to watch your devotees in distress. Oh! Bhagavan, you are all-pervasive supreme Bhramam resides as soul, you are the essence of The universe, you have fastened the Dhaithya, Devatha, Naga, Manushya with the heavy rope of Karma, you are Nirguna Paramathma assumed the Sagunaswaroopa as the son of Devi Devaki and Vasudeva. Devi Yasodha rushed with intense love to tie that Akhanda Parambhrama with the rope in Ulookhal/grinding stone, she had utilized her entire energy to tie you, further that was impossible for you to unfasten. Oh! Bhagavan, your powerful Maya did not spare Lord Bhrama and Lord Shiva, the Premaswaroopa Gopanganas of Vraja made you dance to their tunes on their portico followed with clapping hands in extreme joy. Oh! Bhagavan, the Veda highly praises that you are the commander and protector of the Universe, you are the Lord of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who symbolizes wealth, you are the Lord of three worlds, even after all these, you have assumed the form of a Vipra/dwarf/Vamana and begged for alms before the demon King Bali. You have measured the entire universe in three strides and blessed Bali. Oh! Bhagavan, the recitation of your glorious names would remove the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, and the interest in worldly matters, bondage, body and I consciousness, ultimately the sufferings of Samsara, and liberates the Jeeva from Janana and Marana Chakra. You are too compassionate to your devotees, Oh! Kripanidhe, you have incarnated ten times for your ardent devotee Ambareesha. Oh! Bhagavan, the Munigana, Santh, Mahathma undertake various austerities and Japa, Thapa, Yoga to achieve you, it is surprising that the Vanaras, bears, the tribal, Kola, Beel, people born in the lowly clan achieved your grace with sincere devotion and selfless service to you. Oh! Prabhu, you are the Lord of Yama, Lokapala, Kala, Vayu, Varuna, Surya, Chandra, Prithvi. You are supreme Lord who is the protector of the Universe stood on the doorstep of Ugrasena, due to intense love for him, you have stood with a Danda on the hand to protect him from the enemies.”

 

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “ Oh! Sri Ram, the Veda, Purana, Lord Shiva, and Shukhadev singing in praise of your nobility, your powerful arrows punish the wicked and arrogant, and it affectionately pats the back of the distressed, the recitation of Sri Ramanama provides an abundance of piousness to your devotees, hence the sufferings and grief seems less painful to them, surprisingly, they do not realize any difference between grief and joy. Oh! Bhagavan, you have provided Paramagathi to your sincere devotees, Dhruva, Prahlada, Vibheeshana, Devi Ahalya, Pakshiraj Jatayu, and Kakabhushundi, Pandava, Sudhama, etc. they have achieved piousness in the Ihaloka and Paraloka as well. The Ganika Jeevathi who was a prostitute approached latter years of age bought a parrot from the devotee of Lord Vishnu, that constantly recite the various names of Lord Hari, Jeevanthi listened to it and found peace in it, her intense love affection for the parrot made both of they left the mortal coil together reciting the Ramanama and achieved Paramagathi. The Kola, Kiratha, Nishadha, Adhikavi Valmiki who were engaged in lowly deeds achieved the Paramagathi reciting your glorious names with intense devotion and faith.  The twice-born Ajamila did he perform any Ashwamedha?  Did Gajaraj sing Samavedha? Although they have achieved liberation from the vicious cycles of Janana Marana. Oh! Prabho, I am Tulsidas, have committed various heinous crimes, wicked, impure, absent from all those spiritual and religious rites, I have adopted the Ramanama Roopi Raja, whoever recites the Ramanama with intense devotion and faith would achieve the nearness to Paramathma/Athmvichara, the knowledge of self, the knowledge of indestructible Purusha resides as soul, and destructible Prakrithi/material matters and attachment to people, and the Ramanama transform even the wicked, arrogant, or people from the lowly clan, Oh! Bhagavan, I will recite the Ramanama to attain your grace.”
