-55 -Sri Vinaya Patrika -
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Hari, why
did you forget me? Oh! Nath, you know your magnanimity and my sins as well,
then why don’t you protect me? You are the purifier of distressed Jeeva, who
is drenched in the interest of worldly matters and bondage, I and body
consciousness, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and
Mathshcharya. You are most promising to the helpless Jeeva who have taken
shelter at your lotus feet. The four Vedas are highly praising your
benevolence. Oh! Bhagavan, am I not troubled of fear and anguish of worldly
existence? Or the predictions of Vedas are wrong? Oh! Prabho, you have understood
that I am from the lowly clan and sinner like Pakshi Jatayu, Ganika/ Jeevanthi,
Gajaraj/Gajendhra, and Vyadh/Valmiki. Oh! Kripanidhi, why don’t you shower your
compassionate grace upon me? If the evil
effects of the Kali era are powerful than you and do not listen to your command,
we would have taken shelter in it, but the Kali era has taken away the serenity
of the mind of the Jeeva completely, did not leave a single opportunity to remain
in peace. Oh! Bhagavan, you are mighty Lord, and extremely skilled to transform
Bhrama to fly and vice versa, you are extremely talented even though why don’t
you shower your compassionate grace upon me? Oh! Natha, who will protect me if
you abandon this wretched Tulsidas? Oh! Bhagavan, I have completely worn out of
miseries and sorrows of worldly existence, I have no fear in falling into the
hellish torture, but I will be grieving on even after reciting the names of
supreme Lord Rama, my sins did not get burned into ashes.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Sri
Ram, if Lord Yama decided to count the sins of mine, leaving all his valuable
job, it would become impossible for him to take a count on it, I have committed various
sins by words, mind, and deeds that are immeasurable. If he has taken count of
my sins, he would get perplexed and leave all those sinners who are undergoing
punishments in his custody. Lord Yama would get confused and approach you to
release me as well, in fact, he would praise this Tulsi before you. Yama would
say “Tulsidas is your sincere devotee, he did not do any sin, he relentlessly
engaged in the recitation of your sacred names and singing in praise of your
glories, therefore, the fruitfulness of his devotion released all the sinners
in the abode of hell, all those sinners relieved from their accumulated sins
and marched towards the heaven, hence the abode of hell is empty.” Oh!
Bhagavan, you would laugh at the comment of Lord Yama, and realize the devotion
of this Tulsidas, and you would accept me as Bhakta Shiromani. Oh! Kosalapathi,
somehow I have to get your compassionate grace and shelter at your lotus feet,
so that I would get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya,
body and I consciousness, and interest in worldly matters and bondage, this
would protect me from hurling into the vicious cycles of rebirth.”
