Chapter – 154 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – The significance of devotion

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, Lord Sri Raghuveer is pure and pleasant-natured, can be attainable with pure love and devotion, he gets easily pleased with the devotion and shower an abundance of love and compassion on the Jeeva, although he/she is Neecha/wicked. The scriptures highly speak about his generous nature, the legend of the ferryman Guha who was a hunter, have no knowledge or practice of devotion, has achieved nearness to Lord Rama, later considered him equal to younger brother Bharath, and embraced him affectionately. Did Guha perform any austerities or devotion? All that he showed pure love and dedication at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra. The Geedh Jatayu was born meat-eater, was he kind to other creatures? But Sri Ramachandra performed the final rite for him and provided the status of his father by offering Jalaanjali. The old woman Shabari who was born in the lowly clan, have not practiced any austerities or doesn’t have virtue, her pure love and devotion to Rama obliged him to consume the fruits tasted by her with great joy, later he praised that he had never eaten the fruit that has the greater taste given by Shabari not even in his home or in-laws. Vibheeshana who was the younger brother of Rakshasa Shathru Ravana arrived seeking shelter at your lotus feet was received with great love and embraced him. Oh! Jeeva, the Vanaras are born trifling natured, what was the austerities performed by them? It was believed that merely uttering the name or seeing them would bring ill-fortune, they have achieved great respect and love in the association of Lord Sri Ram, later they were brought to Ayodhya and honored for their dedication and love. Oh! Jeeva, Lord Sri Ramachandra is Kripalu, and kind to his devotees who have taken shelter at his lotus feet, all that he yearns to achieve pure love and devotion from his devotees, he is pleasant always, he is most promising and generous to distressed souls. Oh! Tulsi, leave your wickedness, and take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra,  contemplate and meditate with intense love and pure devotion.”
