Chapter 190 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi
to achieve Bhagavath Kripa – Jeeva who is freed from the Bhoga/material welfare
and bodily pleasure achieve the knowledge of Paramarththa, knowledge of
‘self’, it is hardly impossible to achieve Bhakti without Gnana/wisdom
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh!
Prabho, your ardent devotees Lord
Hanuman, Lord Shiva, Lakshman, and Bharath witnessed your pleasing nature, virtues, and
disciplines, hence their heart is the
dwelling place of pure love and devotion / Premaroopi Kalpavruksha resembles
you, it is flowering and yielding fruits in abundance to them. Whoever understands
the Paramarththa Thaththva, the very existence of the soul, and the all-pervasive
nature of Bhramam, their heart would fill with the Bhagavath Prema, and it is the sole source of Paramanandha/eternal bliss. Oh! Prabho, you have considered Lord
Shiva as your Lord, and Lord Hanuman as your great companion and Lakshman and
Bharath as your lovely brothers and all of them venerate you as their Lord.
The Swami/Lord and the Sevak/attendant love each other unconditionally, and it
remains unbroken, as pure love is a slow and undisclosed nature not to get
tarnished or lost. Sage Shuka, Sanakadhis, Prahaladha, are Paramaviraktha
achieved Ananyabhakthi at your lotus feet, without the abandonment of interest
in worldly matters, it is impossible to achieve pure devotion. The
Paramavairagin, who is freed from the Bhoga/material
welfare and bodily pleasure achieve the knowledge of Paramarththa, knowledge
of ‘self’, it is hardly impossible to achieve Bhakti without Gnana/wisdom.
Oh! Prabho, Gnana is impossible to achieve without your Kripa, it cannot be
achieved with the Sadhanas, Yoga, Yaga, etc. hence the intelligent Jeeva leave
all the Sadhanas and take shelter at your doorsteps. Oh! Prabho, Veda is
incompetent to eulogize your glories and praises ‘Nethi Nethi Nethi’/incomparable,
the scriptures describe endless glories of you, hence surrender/Sharanagathi at
your lotus feet are the only way to achieve the knowledge of Paramarththa.
Therefore, I have taken shelter in the ‘Ramanama’, and I affirm that it would
provide all the auspiciousness to the Jeeva who have taken refuge in it,
because Tulsi had achieved relief from the grief and sufferings of Samsara, got
rid of redundant thoughts and achieved the serenity of mind.”
