Chapter – 93- Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – The significance of the worship of Lord Sri Hari
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mind, listen
to me carefully, there is no one benevolent to you other than Lord Sri Hari,
there is no one to protect you from the Thapathraya, there is no one to protect
you from the sins and troubles of worldly existence, and finally, there is no
merciful companion to you other than Lord Sri Hari. Oh! Ignorant, the Samsara/the
Universe and diversified matters of fleeting nature is a toxic poison, it is an ocean-sized which always seizes who gets closer to it. Oh! Fool, abandon your interest
in worldly matters of possession, wealth, richness, fame, money, children,
wife, companion, relatives, and the impurities of Ahamkara, Mamakara, lust,
desire, ego, jealousy, pride, anger, and sing in praise of my Lord Gopala who
is the protector of living and non-living things in the Universe. Oh! Ignorant, no
one will come closer to protect you at the time of death bed other than Lord
Sri Hari, all those pious deeds and the practice of devotion and worship of the Lord
only can give a helping hand to you.”
