I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Yamuna who is venerable and confident accompanied by young married women, she is courageous and has the luster of lightning, and she is born in illustrious clan, she is elder to Dhara, she has great splendor, her sacred water course has the resemblance to stroke of lightening, she is Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who has great influence on her husband and she is highly cherished by her consort, she is separated from her beloved in consequence of quarrel/kalahantharitha, she is timid and bewildered, she dwells in the nectar like heart of Govindha, she is decked in magnificent ornaments all over her body, she is easily attainable for Bhramin who follow Bhramnic rites, she is young besieged by sorrow of separation, grieving at the separation from her consort /proshithabharthuka, she is proud and respectful, she is intelligent/wise, she dwells in the woods of Mandhara, her sacred water course has murmuring and jingling  noises, she is decked in crimson colored anklets, precious yellow metal waist belts, she symbolizes Sri/wealth and precious yellow metals, she is decorated in precious yellow metal all over her body/Kanchanamayi, she is clad in armour, she is attired in marvelous garments decorated with bells, she is adorned in precious gem decorated ornament on her neck, she is embellished in various precious ornaments, lotus flowers and pearl garlands, she is worshiped with Mukthaphala/pearls, camphor, fruits etc.. she is decked in gem decorated bangles and armlets/Kankana and Keyoora, and gleaming ornaments on fingers, she is watchful, she repesents Dharpanika/mirror, she eradicates wickedness in the worshiper, she has conch shaped  neck/Kambugreevah, she has three auspicious mark on her conch shaped neck, she is adorned in marvelous ornament on her neck, she symbolizes sacred syllables, she is embellished in magnificent earrings of precious yellow metal/Thadanga, she is decorated her beautiful long and curly hair locks with ornaments and flower buds, her attractive nose is decorated in lustrous pearl nose pin, she is divine personified as sacred water course which merrily flows through the Raivathadhri/mountain, she is descended down to earth from the mountain peaks of Raivatha, she is Vrindha who dwells on the sacred land of Vrindhavana, she enthusiastically dwells on the woods of Vrindhavan/Vrindharanyavasini.

I shall meditate upon Lord Vittala who protects from injustice, immorality, mischievousness, and cruelties, and gives protection to the distressed people, he releases worshiper from the shackle of bondages, he dwells as bee in the lotus like hearts of virtuous, he resides as elephant in the dense woods, he represents virtues and disciplines like the assemblage of  lotus flowers and Shadpadha/consists of six divisions, he eradicates excessive lust and desires in the worshiper, he represents peculiar intellect, Chakora and lotus, he enthusiastically performs various amusements, he is Kshonibhartha/consort of Goddess Earth who reclines in the nectar like ocean, he has  various incarnations, he descended down to Earth from the supreme abode in order to perform various pastime , he is the annihilator of Mallas/wrestlers, he is adolescent Krishna represents Mallaroopa and fought with the wrestlers in Mathura, he resides on the sacred river banks of Chandhrabhaga and dissipates his weariness by consuming  water from Chandhrabhaga, he takes immense pleasure in the various sport/Kandhooka/ball made of flowers/Nethrameelanam/hide and seek etc.. he pilfers the clothes of young maidens of cowherds and settles on the top branch of Kadhamba tree, he is beloved of Vallavi/cowherds, he is most desired and revered by the young maidens of cowherds, he settles in the middle of Rasamandala and takes immense merriment in the association of young maidens of Vraja, he takes immense pleasure in Rasa/amorous sport, he remains invisible before young maidens of cowherds, he is divine personified as little cowherd who made companion with the numerous cowherds of Vraja, he is supreme conscious who represents pure wisdom and all pervading in the three worlds.

Sri Shuka continues “ Oh! Shaunaka, above are the thousands of sacred names of Lord Vishnu who is personified as Lord Vittala are  highly propitious hymns, it should be recited sincerely three times/Thrikalam/dawn, dusk and noon, or Yekakala/once in a day, with utmost faith and devotion to Lord Vishnu,  Oh! Dhvija/twice born, whoever recites or listens to the above verses by following strict austerities/Niyathahara/ strict fast, with utmost dedication and abstains from sensual pleasures would definitely get all their desires fulfilled.”

I shall meditate upon Goddess Yamuna who is adorned in various gem decorated ornaments, her sacred waters are packed with Hamsa/swan and Padma/ lotus flowers, she has embodied as sacred river which is pure, it has the capabilities to purify the whole Bhramanda, her sacred water course embellish Sri Vaikuntha, her sacred water course beautify the sacred land of cowherds, she eradicates all kinds of sins of the worshiper, she is ascended down from Bhramaloka, she symbolizes Bhrami and heaven, she resides in the heaven, her sacred water course beam with happiness and inlaid as garland on Mount Meru, she has great splendor, her sacred water course confluences with Ganga, she is eminent, she penetrates through the huge rocks and mountain peaks, her sacred waters has purifying effect and it purifies the world, she is supreme Goddess, she dwells in the center part of the Earth, she is the daughter of Marthanda/Lord Surya, she is pious, she is the daughter of Kalindagiri, she is the sister of Yama, she has ever pleasing smile on her face and beautiful line of teeth, she is attired in dark clouds are garments, she has the complexion of blue sky, her face has the luster of lotus flower, her sacred water course are marvelous sight to the eyes, she has beautiful shank as celestial Apsara Ramba, her eyes are resembles to lotus flower petals, she is decked in flower garlands, she is youthful and beautiful, she undertakes severe austerities and penances, she has attractive limbs, she is decked in marvelous anklets that makes rattling noises, she is embodied as sacred water course, she has beautiful blue limbs, her sweet waters strolls through the sacred lands, she is omnipotent who embellishes the mountain peaks and dense woods with her water course as desired by Sri Krishna, her dark colored  water course flows through the sacred land of Dwaraka gives out the appearance of tiara on the dark colored waters, she is Maharajji/Empress adorned in various gem decorated ornaments, her sacred water course flows close to the banks of river Gomathi, she symbolizes pleasure and happiness, she is the cause for the righteousness and religious rites, she confluences with tributary rivers, she is beautiful with attractive physical features, she is fair-eyed, she is youthful with extreme effulgence, she has the luster of moon, she is most excellent, she is prominent, she symbolizes happiness, she is  ever youthful and can be easily perceived from her water course.

Sri Mandhatha speaks “ Oh! Munishardhoola/lion among the ascetics, Oh! Sarvajja/illustrious/omniscient, Oh! Niramaya/unfalliable, pure, kindly describes the thousands of sacred names of Krishna/Yamuna, which is highly propitious; it provides all kinds of supernatural powers and fulfils all the desires of the worshiper.”

Rishi Saubharir replies “ Oh! Mandhatha, I shall narrate the thousands of sacred names of Kalindhi which is divine, it provides all kinds of supernatural powers as well as nearness to Lord Krishna.”

I shall meditate upon Kalindi, she is Yamuna and Krishna as well, she  is Krishnaroopa and she is primeval, she resides on the left of Krishna and she is inseparable from Krishna, she is eternal bliss, she dwells on the sacred land of cowherds, she symbolizes Rasaleela/amorous sport, she resides in the Rasamandala, she has beautiful appearance as flower creepers in the gardens of Vraja, she is stunningly beautiful, she exists in the Sri Rasamandala, she is inseparable from Krishna and she is beloved of Hari, her sacred river banks are presents on the divine land of Goloka and in the attractive woods of creeper, she majestic and her powerful water course stretched upto far off lands, her sacred waters filled with fresh alluring flower and buds, her sacred waters are dark blue in color that resembles to heavy dark clouds, she is young and decked in lotus flower garlands, her waters are dark in color, she is flawless, she is supreme Goddess and she represents Poornabhramam, her sacred water course has great speed, she disappeares at the entry  point of Nikunjjadhvara, she is Mahanadhi/greatest river with great movements, she is Viraja, she eradicates sudden impulses, she represents Bhramanda, she represents Bhramadrava/water in the Kamandalu of Lord Bhrama, she confluences with Ganga, she is Pure and most eminent.

I shall meditate upon Lord Vittala who is not apprehensive  in case of failure of his promises, he is beyond attributes, and he is renounced, he is supreme ascetic who have no interest in worldly matters, he is Vaikunda who dwells in the supreme abode of Sri Vaikundham with various attributes, he is personified at his own will with a certain purpose, he is not perceivable and he is beyond human intellect, he symbolizes abstract meditation/state of Samadhi, he is devoid of changes, he can be differentiated, he has subtle form and formless too, he repreents Bhramanda, he is Mahadeva/supreme Lord, he is the cause for the origin of Universe and its living beings, he is the preserver of the same/Akhilodhdhari, he is the essence of Vedantha, he has colossal form, he is worshiped by warriors and Kings, he is youthful and immortal, he initiated battle between Bheema and Jarasandha, he promised to remain unarmed in the battlefield, he agrees to be on the right side, he is devoid of desires, he is formless too, he is promising to virtuous, he is impartial, he is storehouse of virtues, he is the basis of subjects, he is personified as brother of Sathyaki, he guides us through the right path and he is a precious ornament adorned by ardent devotees, he establishes proper and improper deeds, he is the essence of Veda, he is personified as cowherd, he protects the miserable and distressed people, he  eradicates  wildfire like wickedness and perils, he is absolute truth, he is personified as Vipra/Vamana who requested bali for alms, he is the provider of highest of meritorious rewards like the honor of Indhra, he crushed the pride of Bali by placing his feet on Balis head, he represents the Baliyajja/sacrifice of Bali, he is the cause for the successful completion of fire sacrifices, he symbolizes Yajja, he is the cause for the impediments in Yajja and the successful completion as well, he follows strict austerities, he is beloved of pious and generous people like Bali, he represents generosity,  he protects even the disobedient and people who does not follow their religious rites, he was the life giving element of Pandava, he guides us through the righteous path, he eradicates all kinds of fears in the Universe, his lotus feet are stretched upto  Saptha Pathala, he is embodied as mountains, trees and water, he is decked in crescent moon/Udumali,  planets and directions as ornaments, he symbolizes Shruthi/Veda and sacred rivers as well.

I shall meditate upon Lord Vittala who  sanctified  the shrine, he is the protector of Universe and its living beings as  Bhairava/formidable, he represents the cause and deeds, he destroyed Poothana, he is the protector, he is eulogized by Tharapathi and Yaksha, he is embodied as sacred shrine and Vedas, he is fond of butter/he is Little Krishna who requests for butter with flickering eyes and both the hands stretched out, he frightened Yasodha by showing three worlds in his tiny mouth, he pilfered butter and crushed the pride of Dhadhibanda, he is most obedient to mother and he is too compassionate to others as a mother, he displayed Jagathraya on his face, he is praised by Yasodha, he enlightened Nandha about the significance of worship of Mount Govardhana, he symbolizes righteousness, wisdom and discipline, he is the safest ferry to cross the unfathomable ocean of Samsara, he is the source for the procurement of wealth, he symbolizes Kubera/Lord of wealth, he resides in the sacred shrine, he is Bhramarshi and he is beloved of Bhramins who sincerely follows Bhraminic rites, he defused the curse of Bhrama, he is Yadhu Raja/illustrious in the clan of Yadhu, he is the cause for the annihilation of Yadhu clan, he is closest companion of Yudhishtira, he is clever, he prompted  the great war of Kurukshethra and he is the cause for the complete annihiliation of Kuru clan, he elevated the soul of Ajamila, he liberated Ganika, he is great preceptor, he took great pleasure in the fight with Jambavadh, he is decked in precious gem Syamanthaka, he is mischievous/lovely/pleasant to Subhadhra, he is sincerely worshiped by Akroora, he represents ancestors, he is Balanuja/younger brother to Balabadhra, he takes immense delight in the wrestling of Balabadhra, he is the destroyer of all kinds of fears, he is pleased with the miserable Gandava woods by creating trepidation and fire, he is fond of performance of fire sacrifices, he has the effulgence of Lord Adithya, he is fond of Hanuman, he was wounded by the arrows of Bheeshma in the great war, he flawlessly performed the part of eminent charioteer of Arjuna in the battlefield, he is storehouse of virtues, he is Chakradhara who opposed Bheeshma with the powerful wheel and well pleased Arjuna in the battlefield.
