My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Bhavani who is the personification
of nectar like eternal bliss and wisdom, travels through the Sushmna, one of
the six divine chakras with intense luster, she has the luster of moon and
radiant. I shall meditate upon Goddess
Sri Bhavani, who dwells in the Thrikonam, she has the supreme radiance of lotus
flower and seated in the middle, she has the brilliance of crores of Adityas;
she is extremely gorgeous, she entices the whole Universe with her amorous
sport. Oh! Goddess Sri Bhavani, I shall
earnestly pray to place your lotus feet on my head, whose lotus feet is decked
in marvelous anklets decorated with precious gem which makes jingling noises,
it shines in the luster of the wet colorful paste applied in your lotus feet
which is worshipped by Lord Achyutha, Lord Bhrama and deities. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhavani,
whose thin waste is decked in beautiful waist belt decorated with precious jewels;
she is attired in majestic crimson colored garments, lustrous navel and streak
of hair in the belly. I shall meditate
upon Goddess Sri Bhavani, who has the eyes resemblance to lotus flower, her
high raised bosom decked in various precious ornaments resembles to gem studded
vessels packed with milk which extends supreme radiance. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhavani,
whose attractive arms decked in precious ornaments, it has the softness of
Shishira flowers, and it carries arrow, bow, noose, and goad. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhavani,
who is the personification of serenity, her lotus like face has the luster of autumn full moon, and she is decked in various precious ornaments which extends marvelous radiance. My humble salutation
to Goddess Sri Bhavani, whose attractive lotus face is decorated with musk on
forehead and cheeks, she has beautiful nostrils and lips, she showers her
fleeting look on her devotees. My humble
salutation to Goddess Sri Bhavani, whose head is decked in marvelous gem
studded crown decorated with crescent moon, her beautiful long hair locks gives
out the appearance of swarm of honey bees and it is decorated in fresh alluring
jasmine flowers. Oh! Goddess Sri
Bhavani, I shall earnestly pray to bless me to envision your glorious florm in
my heart, it’s beyond description, superior to the Prapancham and its minuscule form, so that I can attain supreme knowledge in the usage of words. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhavani,
who is the consort of Lord Shiva, seated majestically on his lap, she is
surrounded by Lord Ganesha and various Shakthis, she is seated on the divine
Chakra, and she is Goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari and Thripuri as well. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhavani, who
is the symbol of eternal bliss, personified as Lord Surya/Arka, Lord Chandra/Indhu,
Lord Agni, Sky/Akasham, Ether/Aap, Bhoomi/Earth, and Vayavya, water, etc.. Oh! Goddess Sri Bhavani, I am an ignorant
creature unaware of your supremacy, you represent Veda and Agamas, not
attainable through the scriptures, kindly forgive my ineffective effort. Oh! Goddess Sri Bhavani, You are my preceptor/Guru,
you are the consort of Lord Shiva/Shivathvam, you are personified as Goddess
Shakthi/Shakthithvam, you are my most beloved mother and father , you are my
knowledge, and you are my closest associate and you are all that I can
remember, therefore I shall take refugee in you. I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Bhavani,
who is my safe haven/Sharanye, you are the provider of boons/Varanye, you are
the symbol of mercy/Karunyamoorthi, you are venerated by all the deities, she
is unblemished and symbol of auspiciousness, kindly protect us from the fears
of wild fire like the world of Samsara.
Whoever recites the glorious verse of Bhavani Bhujangam without any
fault in pronunciation and recites with utmost faith and devotion would attain
wealth, various Siddhis, ultimately liberty from the repeated birth, which is
the essence of sacred Veda.
I shall repeatedly chant the sacred name of Goddess Sri Bhavani
with utmost devotion and faith, which is capable to eradicate sorrows and
grief, desires and sins, and fears at all times.
