Sri Shastha Dhyanam - Lyrics and meanings

|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||

  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Shastha along with his consorts Goddess Sri Poorna and Goddess Sri Pushkala, he has the complexion of dark clouds, he is decked in marvelous gem studded ear rings, he is seated on Yogapattasana posture, he carries lotus flower in one hand and another hand rests on the top of folded knee, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Shastha to protect us.

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shastha who dwells in the middle of Thejomandala/supreme brilliance, he has three eyes, he is decked in majestic clothes, he carries flower arrows, sugar cane, gem studded vessel, and one hand in Abhya hastha posture, he is seated on the top of untamed elephant, he lures the heart of three worlds, I shall always surrender to that majestic form Lord Shastha and earnestly pray to protect us.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Shastha who has the luster of clouds, he is the provider of auspiciousness, he is decked in the ornaments of precious yellow metal, he is wielded on bow and arrow, he is the eternal truth, and he has attractive youth form.

I shall surrender to the lotus feet of Lord Shastha who has the complexion of dark clouds, he is attractive, he has stunning stature, he is decked in various precious ornaments all over his body, he carries lotus flower and rope as weapon, he is seated on the gem studded majestic throne, he has beautiful curly hair locks, he fulfils all the desires of his passionate devotees.
