Abidhya/excessive desire and ignorance? How did the Jeeva win over the Mrithyu?
Abidhya destroys the knowledge of the
supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, soon the Jeeva forgets its
real nature of that Paramathma resides as a soul in it, eventually, the Jeeva gets
drenched in the material matters, wedge with the wealth, people, money, fame,
richness etc. get the intellect polluted with the Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Madha,
Moha and Matscharya finally meet a miserable death. The Vivekaheena soaked in
Abidhya, Kama, Krodha, hurls them into Mrithyu. The Katopanishad says “The
ignorant adults and unwise men rush after the worldly matters, and lust,
without the knowledge that they are chasing after the rope of Mrithyupasha. The
courageous and brave ones understand the real nature of ‘Athman’ which has
neither death nor birth, pure, all-pervasive, and eternal bliss and free from
afflictions, they do not take interest in the worldly matters/Vishayavasthu and
bondage.” The courageous and learned one understands that he is indestructible
Paramathma Bhramam, and crosses the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence.
The Shruthi says “ The learned one understand the real nature of Paramathma
resides as a soul in the Jeeva, gets freed from the face of death.”
Bhashyam – 23 – How did the Jeeva win
over the Mrithyu?
I shall narrate how the learned and
courageous Jeeva win over the Mrithyu, the learned take away the life of Mrithyu’
with their prudence/wisdom. The ignorant Jeeva with the Abidhya/yearning,
constantly chases after the sensual pleasures which are considered as an
Mrithyu ultimately approaches ‘Mrithyu’.
