Chapter 12 - Bhashyam – 17 – Pramadha is
Mrithyu
The Pramadha/ignorance causes ‘Mrithyu’,
lack of knowledge of the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the
Jeeva is free from miseries and sorrows, it has the nature of supreme bliss,
changeless, unblemished, and it has neither birth nor death, causes the function
of mind, intellect, Ahamkarana, Prana, Gnana, and Karmendhriya. The ignorance causes ‘I’ consciousness/me,
mine and myself/ and ‘body consciousness’, the Jeeva get attached to material
matters, people, wealth, money, fame, etc. that has fleeting nature, in short
the Jeeva hurls into constant miseries and sorrows. The impurities of the mind,
Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Madha, Moham, and Mathshcharya are the greatest enemies of
the Jeeva is known as ‘Asyam’, and the assemblage of lust, desire, greed,
jealousy, arrogance, anger, and pride are the ‘Mrithyu’/Pramadha. The Jeeva
drenched in ignorance/Raga and Dhvesha forgets the real nature of supreme
Bramham resides as soul, consider themselves as Kshathriya, Brahmana, Vaishya,
and Shudhra, born in the higher clan, etc. eventually they take pride in their
parents, families, children, etc. continue to perform Shrautha and Smartha
Karma in their own way which is not prescribed in the scriptures or Veda,
finally fails to achieve the ultimate asylum/ the abode of Paramathma. The
ignorant Jeeva engages in the performance of Avidhyakama Karma/performance of
Karma without the knowledge of it, the performance of Karma to yearn specific
objective, the performance of Karma with the false notion, in order to achieve the
Asath, has the fleeting nature of happiness. Bhagavan says “the
Pramadha/ignorance causes Mrithyu, the Mrithyu is Kama and Krodha as well. The
Krodha born from the Kama, enhances the Ahamkara/pride in the Jeeva, once the
Jeeva wedged in the darkness of ignorance like Ahamkara, begins to perform
immoral deeds, cannot achieve the ‘Athmayoga’ union with supreme Bhramam which
is pure and free from afflictions, has the nature of supreme bliss resides as
soul, eventually the Jeeva hurls into constant miseries and sorrows and
repeated births. The ignorant Jeeva swelled with pride, jealously, ego,
arrogance, lust, desires, anger, and excessive interest in worldly matters and
people get heaved into the vicious cycles of rebirths. These ignorant Jeeva
take birth again and again and go through endless miseries and sorrows.
