Mahima - The purification of mind and intellect
Oh! Hari! I have heard that you are
Pathitha Pavana, you are the purifier of distressed Jeeva, I am that
Pathitha/distressed, and you are that Pathitha Pavana, thus we have made
perfect pair of each other, hence I have no doubt that I probably may get
myself purified from the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and
Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, excessive interest in worldly matters and
sufferings, attachment on wealth, money, richness, fame, possession, wife,
children, relatives, and companions of impermanent nature. Oh! Prabho, the Veda
is the witness of your amusements, you have purified the Vyadh/Valmiki who was
a hunter in his previous birth has achieved the highest of the status of
Bhramarishi with the recitation of your sacred name in reverse order/Ma,
Ra. The Ganika/Pingala, who was a
prostitute reached the latter years of age, bought a parrot from the Vaishnava,
mere listening to the Ramanama chant from the parrot, Ganika attained
Paramagathi after the death. Gajendra who was haughty, taken immense pleasure
in the Samsara with the herd of elephants, was accidentally caught on the leg by
the crocodile in the pond, neither his family nor his effort could pull him out
of the pond, finally called out for you, in this way he got liberated from the
Samsara. The twice-born Ajamila, who met a prostitute in the forest,
immediately fallen for her attractive body, started living with her, abandoning
his own family, children, wife in the village, this couple had several
children, in this way, Ajamila has taken great pleasure in the association of
the prostitute finally reached the latter years of age. The emissary of Yama
appeared before him on death bed, he was horrified and called out for his
younger son ‘Narayana’, mere calling out the name of Lord Narayana, the
Parshadhas/emissaries of Lord Vishnu appeared before him, thus he got rid of
Samsara. Oh! Prabho, you have purified countless souls from the treacherous
world of Samsara. You have given comfortable entry to the Paramapadham to numerous
Jeeva who have uttered your sacred names, or merely listening to your names.
Whoever listens or recites to your sacred name and endless glories would easily
achieve liberation from the Bhavasagara, hence I am Tulsidas have taken shelter at your lotus
feet, remembering your compassion, kindly accept me as your servant.”
