Sri Mangalashtakam – Lyric and meanings

My humble salutation to Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu, Lord Maheshwara, Lord Indhra/Surapathi, Anala/Lord Agni, Bhoothaganas and chief of Bhoothaganas, Lord Vayu Lord Kubera, Lord Guha, Lord Ganesha, Lord Surya , Lord Chandhra, Lord Rudhra, Lord Vasu, Maruthganas, Vaishvadevas, Pithrus, Siddhas, Vidhyadharas, Yaksha, Gandharva, Kinnaras, Yekadhasa Rudhras, Ashwini Devathas.  I shall earnestly pray to provide us all the auspiciousness.



My humble salutation to Goddess Vani/Saraswathi, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, Goddess Earth/Dharithri, Himagirithanaya/Goddess Parvathi, Chandika, Bhadrakali,  Sapthamathas, Adithi, Dhithi, Dhakshaputhri/ Sathi, Savithri, Jahnu Kanya/Ganga, DhinakaraThayana/Yamuna, Arundhathi and all those wives of deities, Puloma/wife of Sage Agasthya  and all those virtuous women.  I shall earnestly pray to provide us all the auspiciousness.





My humble salutation to  various incarnations of Lord Vishnu as Mathsya, Koorma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana/Vadu, Bhargavarama, Ramachandhra, Balarama, Krishna, Kalki, Kapila, Nara Narayana, Dhanvanthari, and  diverse incarnations of Lord Vishnu and his divine and fierce weapons like divine wheel of Lord Vishnu and other deities, wives and children of deities during various incarnations. I shall earnestly pray to provide us all the auspiciousness.







My humble salutation to Saptharishis such as Sage Vishwamithra, Sage Vashishta, Sage Agasthya, Sage Ucchathya, Sage Angira, Sage Kashyapa, Maharishi Veda Vyasa,  Rishi Kanva, Rishi Mareechi, Rishi Krathu, Rishi Bhrugu, Rishi Pulaha, Shounakadhis, Sage Pulasthya, and various Rishis and Sages, Lord Kuja, Lord Budha, Lord Guru, Lord Shukra, Lord Surya  and other planets/Grahamandala and Nakshathramandala, Nagas and their clans, Manus. My humble salutation to Bhramins/knower of Bhramam, Vedas, cows, Tulsi, all those sacred rivers, various Shasthras, Ithihasa, Puranas, and the four Varnashrama Dharma, Sankhya yoga, Gnana Yoga and various Yogas, Yamaniyama, Various righteous deeds, Kala/Time,  truth and righteousness. I shall earnestly pray to provide us all the auspiciousness.





My humble salutation to Sapthadhveepa, oceans, Earth, Mount Meru, Mount Kailash, Kaveri, Narmadha and various sacred rivers, Mountains, Kalpavruksha, Dhigajendhras, clouds, astrology, various humans, animals, cows, birds, reptiles, etc…all those medicinal herbs, all the trees, plants, creepers and shrubs in the Universe. I shall earnestly pray to provide us all the auspiciousness.





Whoever reads or listens to the above glorious verses of Mangalashtakam with utmost faith and devotion on daily basis would be relieved from all the sins, all the desires would be fulfilled and lead blissful life, ultimately attain the abode of Lord Vishnu.
