Chapter – 27 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra

 

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Janakinatha, Oh! Raghunatha, who is the protector of the illustrious Raghu clan, Oh! Bhagavan you are the destroyer of Andhakararoopi Thamasik /lethargy, laziness, dullness, ignorance, nature in the Jeeva, you are the destroyer of the darkness of ignorance like interest in worldly matters and bondage, body and I consciousness, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, like the sunrays remove the darkness. Oh! Bhagavan, you have attractive limbs and great effulgence, you are the abode of bliss and compassion, Oh! Sacchindhanandaswaroopa Paramathma resides as a soul in the Jeeva, you are the provider of the serenity of mind, you have lustrous limbs resemble the freshly formed rain clouds, you are attired in majestic yellow silk garment, you have adorned in a magnificent crown decorated with gems that spread intense radiance all over, which resemble crores of Surya. You have adorned in marvelous Makarakundala on ears, you have decorated the lustrous forehead with the rich fragrant sandalwood paste and vermilion, you have attractive brows, wide and long eyes resemble red lotus flower petals, Oh! Bhagavan, you are eminent to remove the grief of three worlds with your compassionate grace, you resemble Hamsaroopi/Swan that takes immense pleasure in the Hridhayaroopi Manasa Sarovar of Lord Shambhu who has won over Kamadheva. You have an attractive nose and cheeks, you have a sparkling line of teeth that resemble Vajra, you have red-colored lips that resemble Bimbhaphala, you have a pleasing smile on your face, you have conch shaped attractive neck and marvelous stature. Oh! Bhagavan, your words are too short but convincing, you are truth personified to fulfill the desires of the worshiper, and destroy the wicked enemies of Sura. Oh! Bhagavan, you have adorned in a fresh alluring garland made of Tulsi and the Bhramara/bees with the buzzing sound taking immense pleasure on the Vanamala/flower garland made of various fresh alluring flowers adorned on the chest. You have a beautiful symbol of Srivathsa on the chest, you have long and powerful arms stretched up to knees, you are adorned in Kankan, armlets, various ornaments on the chest, and marvelous waist ornament gives out jingling noises. Oh! Bhagavan, your Vamangi Devi Janaki seated on your side, resembles golden-colored creepers on the Thamalavruksha. You are wielded in bow and arrow, you are worshiped by the Siddha, Munigana, Naga, Gandharva, Devatha, Manushya, Raja and Maharaja. Oh! Bhagavan, you are unblemished, you are Sarvajja, Sacchidhanandaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhrama, you are the supreme Lord who is the essence of the Universe and living and non-living things and you are the protector as well. Oh! Bhagavan, you are the destroyer of the grief of worldly existence of the devotees who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. I shall repeatedly prostrate before Lord Sri Ramachandra, along with Devi Sita and Lord Lakshman, Oh! Bhagavan, your lotus feet are the dwelling place of auspiciousness and happiness, Devi Mahalakshmi always serves your lotus feet. You have auspicious symbols on the feet, and your lotus feet permanently dwells on the shrine-like lotus heart of ardent devotee Lord Hanuman, Oh! Bhagavan, I am Tulsidas I have already taken shelter at the lotus feet of you, kindly protects me from the grief of worldly existence.”
