Dhayamaya/compassionate one, Oh! Vishveshvara/Lord of Universe, Oh! Prabho, Oh!
Dheenabandho who is closest companion of distress and desolate people, Oh! Jagathpathe/ruler
of the Universe, I would like to hear the highly confidential hymns of Goddess
Kalika who has personified as Thara, prominent among the female deities, and
kindly narrate the reason for being kept as highly confidential of these auspicious
hymns praising the splendor of Goddess Kalika.”

Shiva speaks “ Oh! Maheshvari who has beautiful five faces, I shall narrate the
highly propitious hymns of Goddess Kalika, which is impossible to praise even
by thousands and millions of tongues or hundreds and millions of faces, Oh!
Shankari, therefore her glorious myths has become highly confidential, Oh!
Deveshi, I shall put all my effort to describe the same, Oh! Jagadambike,
hundreds of sacred names of Goddess Kalika was narrated in Thanthric
philosophies and it was remained intact for several Yuga.”

Shiva continues “ I shall meditate upon Goddess Kalika, who has dreadful
appearances, she has most marvelous form too, she is Kamala and Kala as well,
she is the source of action, she has unique eyes, she has most enticing form as
Kamakshi, she holds Kapala and powerful sword, she is Kathyayani, she
symbolizes full moon, she is formidable,
she has won over death, she is too compassionate, she is worshiped by Kamala,
she is Kadambari, she eradicates unexpected and untimely deaths, she is most desirous, she symbolizes admiration and
curiousness, she is the cause, she is most desirable, she has the complexion of
dark clouds, she is beloved of Krishna, she immerses in the veneration of Lord
Krishna, she has personified as dearest darling of Krishna, she has dark
colored complexion, she is unconquerable, she is fond of Krishna, she has the
complexion of dark clouds, she is Kalika, she represents dark hours of night, she was born in the illustrious clan,
she is eminent in the clan, she immerses in the performance of righteous deeds
for the welfare of the clan, she is most desirable, she represents desires as
well as deeds, she is presiding deity of illustrious clan, she is worshiped by
the illustrious clan, she is modest, she represents illustrious clan, she is
worshiped by Kamala, she is worshiped in the highest peaks of Mount Kailash,
she has attractive long and curly hair locks, she is most enchanting, she
fulfills all the desires of the worshiper, she is eminent in the science of
passionate sport, she has dreadful appearance, she has beautiful appearance and great effulgence
resembles to dearest darling of
Kandharpa/Kamadeva, she has marvelous physical structure of musical instrument,
she takes immense pleasure in playing musical instruments, she has beautiful
long and curly hair locks adorned in precious ornaments, she is beloved of
Keshava, she has the luster of saffron, she is worshiped by Keshava, she is
Kameshvari who is the consort of Lrod Kameshvara, symbolizes amorous sport, she
imparts the knowledge of passionate sport, she is beyond time, she is fond of
meat of tortoise, she is worshiped by tortoise, she represents Jujube tree/Indian
plum, a kind of bird, water vessel, etc.. she holds water vessel, she
represents deeds, she remains in the middle of multitudes of army, she is
adorned in golden shield, she is worshiped by army of warriors, she is beloved
of warriors, she represents multitude of army, she is the source of action of
the multitude of warriors, she immerses
in the veneration of little girl children, she is worshiped by Kumari Ganas,
she sincerely follows the disciplines of clan, she is fond of noble family and
she is worshiped by the noble families, she was born in the illustrious family,
she sincerely follows righteousness for
the welfare the clan, she eradicates
miseries and perils of the noble clan, she represents time and righteousness,
she is most desirable, she is eternal, she represents amorous sport, she
symbolizes passionate sport, she eradicates excessive desires, she is worshiped
in shrines, she is beyond time and she represents time, she symbolizes
righteous deeds and devotion, desires, she fulfills all the desires of the
worshiper, she is adorned in Kolapushpa, she has marvelous physical appearance
and decked in weapon, she eradicates conflicts, she is Kaushiki, Kethaki, and
Kunthi, she has attractive long and curly hair locks, Oh! Sarvangi who has
divine limbs, the above are the highly promising hymns praising the splendor of
Goddess Kalika which is capable to bring all kinds of auspiciousness to the
worshiper.”

Shiva concludes “Whoever reads or listens to the hundreds of sacred names of
Goddess Kalika with utmost faith and devotion would attain all kinds of
supernatural powers, Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu , Lord Rudra, Vasava, and deities
recited these sacred hymns and got themselves freed from distress, Oh! Vishveshi, it was remained
highly confidential in the three worlds, Oh! Mahamaye, it was mentioned in the
Thanthric scriptures, Oh! Maheshani, Oh! Priye, it is highly auspicious to
recite or listen with intense faith and devotion in the sacred land of cows, or
Vaikunda, or shrine of Kailasa or day or night, it would provide Manthrasiddhi to
worshiper, it should be recited on Kujavaram/Tuesday on a Chathurdhashi day, during the hours of dusk, worshiper would
remain highly intelligent and expert in
all Shasthra, attain birth in illustrious
clan, remain pure, fortunate and righteous on Earth, Oh! Deveshi, Oh!
Paramasundari, recitation or listening to these glorious verses provides
performance of numerous religious rites, Oh! Vararohe/beautiful faced one, undoubtedly
worshiper would attain all kinds of super natural powers on Earth, Oh!
Maheshvari, it is auspicious to read during the hours of dusk, sitting under
Bilvavruksha, or Ashwaththavriksha or Parijatha, Oh! Sureshvari, recitation of
hundreds of weeks on regular basis would provide Manthrasiddhi, Mundamala Mahamanthra
is highly auspicious and superior among the sacred hymns, she is Bhagavathi who
eradicates miseries and sorrows, and sufferings of poverty, whoever reads or
listen to it with intense devotion would be freed from the sufferings of
poverty, miseries and grief, and worshiper would remain Jeevanmuktha/liberated
soul, worshiper would remain Sadhaka and attain nearness to Goddess Durga, Oh!
Naganandhini/daughter of Mount Himavan, liberation is possible only through
faith and devotion, Oh! Jagadhdhathri, otherwise
life will not be fruitful, Oh! Shankari, Oh! Maheshani, veneration of preceptor
and Paramaguru, would yield all those pieties of Bhukthi and Mukthi, even without
performance of Thanthric or Manthric rites, or recitation of hymns, preceptor symbolizes
supreme wisdom and knowledge and he is supreme Lord Shiva. Whoever disrespect
Guru, or Thanthra and Thrantic rites, would be crushed and chewed their meat by
Lord Bhairava, therefore Thanthras should not be degraded or disregarded or disgraced.
