Nyayashasthra – Chapter -17 - Chanakya Neethi – 11 - 22

Chapter – 17– Chanakya Neethi – 11 – 22

Rishi Chanakya speaks “ It is inauspicious to consume the leftover meal and water, especially the consumption of water 1) that was used to wash the feet  2) somebody’s  leftover 3) water consumed that was used for sun worship/Sandhyavandhana is considered as most impure, in these cases the observance of Chandrayana Vratha is needed to remove the impurities. The hands should be adorned with the practice of ‘Charity’, not with the golden ornaments. The body gets cleansed after the bath not that smearing the sandalwood paste will not bring purity. The satisfaction achieved not with the consumption of sumptuous meals on a regular basis, the real pleasure is gained with the admiration of the people. The liberation from repeated births/Mukthi is achieved with the supreme wisdom that is the knowledge of Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, the knowledge of all-pervasive Bhramam represents living and non-living things, oneness-in-all, unfortunately not by shaving the head or wearing saffron robes.  The inauspicious deeds are 1) visiting the house of  Kshuraka/barber for shave 2) the sandalwood paste collected by crushing on the red brick 3) take pleasure in watching one’s own shadow in the water. Thundi is a toxic seed and the consumption of the same would result in a state of unconsciousness.  Vacha is a medicinal herb and the consumption of the same would bring back the consciousness immediately. Sthree/women have the unique ability to beguile the men and weaken them instantly. The consumption of milk removes the exhaustion instantly.  The truthful people who fight for the welfare of others will get rid of obstacles and achieve prosperity all through their lives. The person who has 1) virtuous and devoted wife as a companion, protect Sthree Dharma 2) virtuous children who sincerely follow the command of the father 3) fair wealth earned in truthful ways 4) and grandchildren does he requires to be in the heavenly abode?  The animals and humans have the following things in common 1) fear and anxieties 2) consumption of meal at regular intervals 3) Nidra/sleep 4) Maithunam/physical relationship. The supreme knowledge and wisdom of the human makes him stand out from the clause of animals, the people who do not earn the knowledge of ‘self’ or Paramathma Parambhramam, or does not strive to achieve any of these Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha are considered animals. The honey bees take shelter in the freshly bloomed lotus flowers, if the elephant makes a futile effort to sidetrack them by flapping wide ears would not succeed, on the other hand, it would create blotch on its cheek. There are eight types of people who do not understand the grief of others 1) King 2) prostitute 3) Yama 4) Agni/fire 5) infant 6) beggar and 7) tax-collector. The flowers of Kethaki grown in the muddy lands win over the hearts of everyone, even though they have grown in the mud-covered terrain, have no fruits to offer, and fully covered with thorns. The following things are extremely dangerous if it was vested in single individual 1) youthfulness 2) immense wealth 3) Prabhuthvam/fascism and 4) Aviveka/lack of knowledge.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -17 - Chanakya Neethi – 1 - 10

Chapter – 17– Chanakya Neethi – 1 – 10

Rishi Chanakya speaks “The knowledge that was gained from the preceptor, followed with offering sincere service and devotion to the preceptor is considered as Mahathvidhya, the knowledge that was earned from books won’t shine in the Vidhvathsadhas/assembly of intellectuals and scholars, it is inferior as the woman got pregnant from the illicit relationship, it cannot bring respect or admiration from the learned. It is essential to retreat the people in the following manner 1) pious and noble souls should be treated with great respect for their relentless service to their society, 2) people who have helped immensely in time of needs should be treated with great respect and make sure to pay back their favor 3) The wicked people should be treated in the same manner and make sure to settle scores with them.  It is not considered an immoral act, to treat the wicked and deceitful people in the manner in which they act to you. The Tapasya is the observance of Sathyam, Dhamam, Shamam, Shaucham, and Dhaya, whoever strictly follows all these would achieve even the impossible.  There is nothing unfeasible to achieve with the practice of austerities and Tapasya, hence there is nothing in this world that could outshine the Tapasya. The most horrible nature is 1) Lobha is the worst among the Dhurguna/the most undesirable quality, 2) The grave sin is finding fault in others 3) The superior among the austerities is Tapasya/strict observance of Sathyam, Dhama, Shamam, Dhaya and Shaucham 4) If the heart is free from impurities like Ego, jealous, pride, desire, and lust do they need to visit any sacred Theertha? 5) The pleasant talk is the highest of the virtues 6) the person who has commendable virtues would earn respect in society; hence does he require any ornaments to adore? 7) The superior wealth is wisdom and knowledge, so the knowledgeable person does not require wealth, 8) the person with disgrace is considered as dead alive.  The bare fact is that even though the conch has Goddess Mahalakshmi/ Goddess of wealth as sister and the ocean which is the storehouse of gems and precious stones as its father, still it needs to beg for alms for a living. The common truths are 1) the powerless become virtuous 2) penniless observes Bhramacharya/ remain unmarried 3) people with various ailments grows devotee of Lord and 4) aged woman becomes chaste and devoted to her husband. The superior act, Thithi, Manthra, and person are 1) There is no charity superior to Annadhanam/serving meals,  and water, 2) There is no Thithi superior to Dhvadhashi 3) There is no hymn superior to Gayathri Manthra and 4) There is no deity superior to Mother.  The common facts are 1) The powerful serpent Thakshaka stores its venom on its teeth 2) flies keep venom on their heads 3) The scorpion has venom on its tail 4) and the venom of the Dhurjjana/wicked is stored all over the limbs. The woman who does not follow the command of her husband and the Upavasa/austerities and vow followed without the permission of her husband does not earn any piousness, instead, it will reduce the life span of her husband, and pushed herself to hell. The superior Sthree Dharma is women achieve purities and an abundance of piousness with sincere service to her husband. It is not that the visit to several sacred Theertha, following various austerities and vows, or performance of an abundance of charities brings piousness to a woman. The simple act of sincere service to her husband would provide purity to a married woman. ”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -16 - Chanakya Neethi – 11 - 20

Chapter – 16– Chanakya Neethi – 11 – 20

Rishi Chanakya speaks “ The nature of  Sajjanas  are 1) They do not chase after material welfare, wealth, money, richness, fame, possession, etc. 2) They do not take pleasure in the material comforts or luxuries, 3) They do not engage any of  the activities by word, mind, and deed to  hurt others 4) They represent Sathyam, Dhamam, Shamam, Shaucham, and Dhaya/kindness, oneness in- all 5) They immerse in the meditation and contemplation upon the Supreme Lord Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva. The accumulated wealth kept idle like a newly wedded bride, would cause sin, first of all, it is meaningless to store the wealth because the life span is too short to take pleasure in it. The wealth earned utilized for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings would purify the wealth as well as the Jeeva. Therefore the accumulated wealth would bring 1) constant fear of loss 2) anxieties 3) fear of theft 4) fear of loss of life 3) fear of loss of wealth 4) loss of peace of mind 5) threat from enemies 6) threat from the family and relatives etc. The wealth should be utilized for the goodness of the society and its people, performance of charities, religious and spiritual rites. One thing is certain that the Jeeva whoever already left their mortal coils have not satisfied, and the Jeeva whoever going to leave the Earth is not going to satisfied with the wealth, richness, fame, money, possession, Sthree/women, and meals.  The Yajja, Homa, and fire sacrifices performed to fulfill specific desires will have short-living nature, the fruitfulness earned by these Kamya Karma causes bondage, and the piousness earned will disappear in due course of time. The Punya/ piousness earned by the performance of charities, digging wells, construction of ponds, gardens, shelter homes, serving meals, clothing, etc. will not diminish. The person who begs for a living is considered as inferior, like the Thrina/grass and cotton, these two are light weighted.  It is extremely difficult to live with humiliation, then it is better to get rid of life, and it won’t take seconds to abandon the Prana, hence living life with disgrace is miserable. The Vishayavisha/interest in worldly matters and bondage are the toxic poison in the worldly existence; this Vishavriksha has only two kinds of succulent fruits to offer 1) Subhashitham/pleasant talk, and 2) Sajjanasamsarga/Sadhujana Sangathi/association with the saintly men and Mahathmas. The Jeeva inherits all those piousness of righteous deeds and charities performed in their previous births, and continues to perform pious deeds in their current life as well.  The words should be used very carefully, and it should be used to please the listener, not to hurt. The knowledge in the books and wealth in others hands will not help in time of need, hence it is necessary to acquire knowledge in various Shashtras, should have earnings to utilize it for the performance of  righteous /Dharmic deeds for the welfare of all.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -16 - Chanakya Neethi – 1 - 10

Chapter – 16– Chanakya Neethi – 1 – 10

Rishi Chanakya speaks “ The Jeeva who does not strive to achieve Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha while living on the Earth, is compared to ax that cut off the beautiful trees in the forest like the youthfulness of the mother,  and the nature of  those unfortunate Jeeva are 1) Jeeva who  do not undertake austerities, meditation or contemplation upon the supreme Lord to get rid of the cycles of repeated births, 2) Jeeva who does not earn piousness with the performance of righteous deeds to achieve the heavenly abode 3) Jeeva who is immersed in immoral deeds while awake, and  dreaming the nearness of the voluptuous body of the woman, these unfortunate Jeeva are a burden on the Earth, born  to chop off the youthfulness of the mother. The women in the Kali era will not be sincere in relationships; men will not have their own identity, act like the caged birds, dancing to the tune of women. The common truths are 1) No one is free from pride of wealth, status, fame, richness, wisdom 2) The people who chase after Vishayasukha/interest in worldly matters and sensual pleasure, shovels themselves into troubles 3) no one is free from emotional break-downs 4) Kings will have favorites 5) life on the Earth has fleeting nature 6) person who begs for a living lose respect 7) people who are in the association of Dhurjjanas cannot live in peace. “Vinashakale Vipareethabudhdhi” it is certain that the person whose time is not in favor, would bring destruction, 0therwise Lord Rama would not have chased after the golden deer, which was never seen or heard. If the time is not in favor of person, it would encourage the intellect to go against all the norms. The virtue of the person brings respect and admiration among the people, it is not that status or wealth or richness or fame, like the crow seated on the roof of the palace cannot be considered as King of the birds. The virtuous /noble souls achieves honor and admiration, not the wealthiest without virtues, like the crescent moon achieved admiration after that had attained a place in the matted hair locks of Lord Mahadeva. The respect earned by performing righteous deeds enhances the virtues in the person, if the wicked self- praises the virtues even if it is Lord Indra will not achieve respect. The constant association with the learned and scholarly would augment the virtues as well as knowledge in various fields, like the gem-adorned in the ornament multiplies the beauty of the necklace. The precious gem ruby decorated in golden ornaments gives out an exquisite appearance, in the same manner, the virtuous and knowledgeable persons require a skillful assistant to exhibit their excellence, like the precious gem ruby depends on the golden ornaments to steal the hearts of others.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -15 - Chanakya Neethi – 11 - 18

Chapter – 15– Chanakya Neethi – 11 – 18

Rishi Chanakya speaks “The person who consumes meals 1) before receiving the guests properly or 2) without  serving a meal to the guests arrived tired of hunger is considered as Chandala. The twice-born/Bhramin who have profound knowledge in four Vedas, Vedantha, Shastra, Purana, but failed to achieve the knowledge of Athman/Sarvam Kalvitham Bhrama,/Oneness-in-All, the supreme Bhramam resides as the soul is pure, eternal, changeless, unblemished, free from afflictions, has neither birth nor death, is considered as the hood of serpent or  ladle/wooden spatula used to pour ghee on the fire sacrifices. The twice-born/Bhramin who sincerely follow the rites prescribed in the scriptures, follows spiritual and religious rites, conduct Swadhyaya/learning scriptures and practicing Vedic chants etc. undertake austerities, Sathyam, Dhama, Shaucham, Shama, and Dhaya, are fortunate and unique Jeeva, considered as ferries to cross the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence. This unique ferry has the capabilities to guide the righteous, pious, noble souls, down-trodden to the safest asylum, as well as it has the power to bring down the haughty, arrogant, evil, wicked-natured crush down under their feet and make them sink in the vast ocean as well. The people who relentlessly serve the twice-born/Bhramin and honor them, and sincerely follow their teachings, provide an abundance of charities to perform spiritual and religious rites for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings would easily cross the ocean of worldly existence and repeated births as well. Lord Chandra is the source of nectar, he is the Lord of herbs, resembles Amritha and has supreme radiance, even though he can’t outshine the radiance of Lord Surya during the day, in the same manner, people who take shelter in the stranger’s home, even if they are powerful and wealthiest loses respect. The bees that have taken great pleasure in the freshly boomed cluster of lotus flowers for a long time moved to unknown lands where there are no availability of freshly bloomed lotus flowers, takes pleasure in the flowers of Kutaja/ and highly praises the taste of nectar in it. There was a conversation took place between Lord Vishnu and Goddess Mahalakshmi. Devi speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, once, Sage Agasthya got annoyed and dried up the entire ocean who is my father. On another occasion, Sage Bhrighu got angry and gave a hard kick on the chest of my husband/Lord Vishnu. The twice-born Bhramin take shelter in Goddess Saraswathi from their childhood to achieve knowledge in Veda, Vedantha, Shastra and Puranas, they place Goddess Saraswathi on their tongue, conduct the veneration of Umakantha/Lord Mahadeva/Shivapooja, offering freshly bloomed lotus flowers, which is the dwelling place of mine that is the reason I feel distressed and leaving their homes.” The worldly bondages are different types 1) attachment to family, children, wife, companion, relatives 2) attachment to material things, richness, possession, wealth, fame, money, etc. In either way, both of them are capable to weaken the potential to achieve the Paramathma Parambhramam,  and destroys the serenity of the mind, ultimately  heave the Jeeva into the vicious cycles of rebirths, like the Shadpadha that takes pleasure in hiding in the trees got stuck in the cluster of lotus flowers. The noble souls and righteous people will not leave their virtues/Sathguna even if they are penniless, had to confront vicious challenges, like the sandalwood tree will not leave its fragrance while cutting them down, the untamed elephant does not leave it ferocious nature  even after growing too old, and the sugarcane does not lose its sweetness after crushing it.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -15 - Chanakya Neethi – 1 - 10

Chapter – 15– Chanakya Neethi – 1 – 10

Rishi Chanakya speaks “The people who have extreme compassion and kindness to the fellow beings, are they require to smear Bhasma/sacred ashes, Gnana/wisdom, Moksham/free from miseries and happiness, Jata/matted hair locks? Dhaya/kindness is the pre-requisite to achieve the highest of piousness and knowledge, the ‘Oneness-in – All’  is the Paramarththa Thaththva, the supreme Bramham is all-pervasive, resides as a soul in the Jeeva, it represents living and non-living things as well. It is impossible to repay the debt to a Preceptor; there is no material thing available on the Earth to pay off the debt of the preceptor. The wicked people and thorn can get rid of in two ways 1) destroy them completely so that they won’t hurt anyone 2) or ignore them completely.  The Goddess of Wealth, Goddess Mahalakshmi abandons these people permanently 1) the person who have the habit of wearing dirty, and tattered clothe 2) the people who do not clean teeth properly 3) people who consume a large quantity of meals 4) people who take pleasure in derisive comments 5) the person who sleeps at the time of sunrise and sunset. The real companion of the human is wealth, the person who has lost wealth abandons by 1) companion 2) family 3) children 4) relative 5) servants 6) and society as well. Once, the wealth was restored, all those left in difficult times would flock to his/her life. The permanent truth is that the wealth earned in immoral ways would last more or less for ten years, after that it will start to disappear. The powerful, intelligent, skillful people utilize all that available for the welfare of all. The wicked, ignorant, dull-witted utilizes even the precious things for the destruction of self and others too, like the Rahu after achieving the nectar of immortality in a deceitful manner, caused to meet his destruction, on the other hand, the toxic poison consumed by Lord Shankara for the welfare of the Universe, restored on the throat became an ornament. The praise-worthy things are 1) The knowledge in scriptures, Veda and Vedantha achieved by the twice-born 2) kindness, politeness, benevolence 3) absence of immoral deeds and 4) SathKarma performed without arrogance. All the glitters are not gold like all the stones are not precious gem whether it was worn on the head or toe, both have different material values, the precious ones cannot stand with the worthless stone. It is impossible to achieve knowledge in all the Shastras and Puranas that are vast like the ocean, human life too short, and there endless obstacles to achieve knowledge in it, and therefore it is wise to make an effort to learn the essence  from all the Shastras, like the Swan/Hamsa separates the milk from the water.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -14 - Chanakya Neethi – 11 - 20

Chapter – 14– Chanakya Neethi – 11 – 20

Rishi Chanakya speaks “The people who yearn for the destruction of the opponent, engages in praising them relentlessly, like the way hunter traps the deer with the melodious music.  It is absolutely necessary to be cautious while handling Agni/fire, King, Preceptor, and Sthree/woman.  1) Agni, if it is handled carelessly would cause massive destruction and the human life without Agni/fire is almost impossible, hence the fire should be handled with great care 2) King, is considered as the Father of the subjects, every citizen should abide by the rules and regulations of the Kingdom, otherwise have to meet harsh punishments imposed by the King 3) Guru/preceptor, is considered as Father of the disciple, therefore the disciple is apt to serve the preceptor and sincerely follow his command and teachings  and if not the curse of the preceptor would bring the destruction of the clan 4)Sthree,  the houses where women are not treated with respect and humility are definite to meet its destruction.  If the above-said were not handled appropriately would cause destruction, surprisingly if any of these kept remotes would make the life worthless, hence it should be handled and served in a proper manner.  It is definite that 1)Agni/fire 2) water 3) Sthree/woman 4) wicked people 5)snake 6) and royal families, were not taken care of properly would cause immediate death. The virtuous and righteous people live a contented life; the person who does not have both would meet constant miseries and sorrows. The foremost Karma of the Jeeva is to bring control over the Karma and Gnanendhriya to achieve purity of mind that is free from Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha and Mathshcharya. The control over the mind, words, and action would bring serenity in life, the three types of 1) people who worries a lot, without living in the present, 2) people who constantly brood over the past 3) people who are anxious about the future have not lived their lives, hence it is very important to get redundant thoughts with the practice of meditation and contemplation upon the Lord. The people who have no control over words get troubled with conflicts and arguments; hence it is necessary to bring control over the words.   The people who recklessly engages in the immoral deeds are certain to meet their destruction and undergoes severe punishments, hence the control over actions/deeds are extremely important as the words and thoughts.   The intelligent one 1) speaks words suitable to their nature 2) love sincerely 3) and expresses anger on the apt to the situation.  Sthree/women are considered in three different ways by a Yogi, lover, and dog 1) The Yogi treats the voluptuous body of the woman as a Kunapa/corpse, 2) The lover treats the attractive body of a woman as something most admirable 3) and the dog treat the body of a woman as a piece of meat. The intelligent people never speak out the following 1) the Sidhdhaushdha/the medicine consumed 2) the righteous deeds performed 3) conflicts in the family 4) physical relationship with the woman 5) the worst meal consumed and 6) confidential matters. The Kokila patiently waits for several years to achieve a pleasant tone to sing, until that it keeps silence. The following things were not followed properly, would cause definite destruction 1) Dharma/performance of righteous deeds 2) Wealth 3) Dhanyam/grains 4) advice of the preceptor 5) and medicine. It is necessary to abandon the association of Dhurjja/wicked and deceitful, and live in the association of Sajjana/people who sincerely follow austerities, Sathyam, Dhama,  Shamam,  Dhaya, and Shaucham, and  engages in righteous deeds, the performance of religious and spiritual rites, contemplating upon the supreme Lord, with the constant remembrance of the impermanent nature of life on the Earth and material comforts.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -14 - Chanakya Neethi – 1 - 9

Chapter – 14– Chanakya Neethi – 1 – 9

Rishi Chanakya speaks “there are three precious things are considered as gems on the Earth, 1) water to quench the thirst, wave off hunger and tediousness 2) meals/fiber roots, vegetables, and fruits  3) Subhashitham/pleasing talks to satisfy listeners,  but the ignorant people chase after the sandstone like comforts and luxuries and misunderstand them as gems. The ignorant Jeeva greedily chases after comforts and luxuries, as if their life span is too long till the end of Kalpa, without the knowledge that the wealth, richness, possession, fame, family, children, wife, companions, etc. have short-living nature and life span on the Earth is too short, all those wealth earned won’t follow them in the afterlife.  The undeniable truth is that all those Punya karma/righteous deeds performed on the Earth follows the Jeeva afterlife too. The sins committed by Jeeva bounce back in the form of 1) Grief 2) sufferings of poverty 3) ailments 4) Bandhanam/attachment to destructible nature of material matters and grieve over their absence or separation and 5) Vyasana/ fears and anxieties. The human birth is rare to achieve, that was earned after several thousands of birth as creatures in water, land, and air, and therefore it is essential to use it wisely, protect it from all the evil deeds, and perform righteous deeds for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings which would bring an abundance of piousness while living on the Earth and afterlife too. The loss of wealth, possession, fame, richness, the family can be compensated, but the human body achieved after the piousness of several births should be utilized for the purpose of righteous deeds, and strive to achieve Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. The ‘Unity is the strength’, even the impossible things would become possible, if the people stand united to fight against injustice, unity makes it possible to win over even the unconquerable, like the grass withstand the hurricane, but not the powerful trees which cannot bend.  The little contribution to the right personalities would enhance its value as1) oil dripped in the water 2) contribution to a deserving person 3) knowledge shared to an intelligent person 4) secret shared with a person who does not know to keep it. No one is free from Bandha/bondage in this worldly existence, if 1) feel unsatisfied after listening to the glorious myths from sacred scriptures 2) Person who return heavy-hearted after attending the funeral pyre of the beloved one, 3) couple who feel tired and exhausted after the physical relationship. The sense of  ‘guilt consciousnesses’ will definitely improve the life of a person, it would be a constant reminder for the person not to repeat the mistake and mount up the grief. The following  virtues are precious as gems 1)Dhanam/charities performed 2) Tapasya/austerities, vow, and observance of celibacy 3) Shauryam/fearlessness to win over enemies 4) knowledge in various subjects 5) humility and simplicity 6) and skill, always remember that there is no scarcity of gems on the Earth.  Love and affection towards the beloved ones does not cause grief even in their absence, but the person who does not deserve kindness or love, even their nearness would make feel distant.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -13 - Chanakya Neethi – 11 - 20

Chapter – 13– Chanakya Neethi – 11 – 20

Rishi Chanakya speaks “ Mana Yeva Manushyanam  Karanam Bandha Mokshayo:’, the interest in worldly matters and bondages are the main factors of endless miseries and  grief, the attachment to material matters, possession, richness, wealth, fame, etc. attachment to family, children, wife, companions, and relatives make the Jeeva grieve over the separation or loss of any of the above matters. The Moksha is a blissful state which is the absence of pain or grief, the practice of meditation, contemplation upon the supreme Lord resides as a soul in the Jeeva, observance of austerities, celibacy, etc. would purify the mind free from Kama, Krodha, Moha, Lobha, Madha and Mathshcharya, and provides perfect control over sense, eventually, the interest in worldly matters and bondage get lessened, with the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva, that all the material things/Prakrithi, have impermanent nature, and the supreme Purusha resides as soul/Athman in the Jeeva is eternal,  it will lead the Sadhaka to a  state of supreme bliss/Moksha. The human mind and intellect is the cause for Bandha and Moksha as well. Once, the Sadhaka understood the nature of Paramathma Parambhramam with the constant practice of meditation and contemplation, get rid of ‘I’ consciousness/me, myself and mine and body consciousness/abandon the interest in beautifying it as if it is going to live till the end of Kalpa, achieve the supreme knowledge that the Paramathma resides as a soul in the Jeeva is eternal, pure, free from afflictions have neither birth nor death, eventually achieves the serenity of mind/Samadhi, a state free from redundant thoughts. The Karma and the fruits of the Karma is predestined of Jeeva, therefore it is futile to chaste after material comforts and luxuries which are not designed, the ignorant Jeeva chases after the wealth, possession, richness, and money, forgetting the Paramarththa Thaththva gets exasperated and miserable in the hunt after luxuries get severely hurt. The Mahathma, noble souls, learned, accept whatever intended as Eshwararththa/ be it grief or happiness and lives in utmost contentment. The Karma is so powerful will not spare a single person; find its way to get hold of the individual at the right time, like the calves locates its mother in a huge crowd of cows in the shed. The people, who have no specific objective in life, cannot achieve peace in the middle of a crowd or in the solitude of wood, while living in the crowd they find differences in others and while living in the wood complains about the loneliness. The people who sincerely serve the preceptor would achieve supreme knowledge of Parmarththa Thaththva, like the deep excavation reveals the source of water. The ignorant Jeeva performs the Karma yearning for the fruitful results, surprisingly the intellectuals performs the Karma according to their knowledge. It is essential that a person should find contentment in the three 1) wife 2) meal and 3) wealth. An intelligent never get satisfied in the three 1) Adhyayana/practicing of learning scriptures, Shastras, Veda, Vedantha, 2) Japa/recitation of glorious verses and hymns 3) and performance of charities. The person who disrespects or does not sincerely follow the command of the preceptor would take birth as a dog for hundred times and finally achieves the birth of a Chandala. The Sajjanas/noble souls will not move away from the path of righteousness, even the Mount Meru, and the seven oceans may get displaced at the time of deluge, the Mahathma and noble souls will not leave their austerities, vows, and penances.”

Nyayashasthra – Chapter -13 - Chanakya Neethi – 1 - 10

Chapter – 13– Chanakya Neethi – 1 – 10

Rishi Chanakya speaks “The life on the Earth has fleeting nature and unpredictable; hence the Jeeva should find all the opportunities to perform righteous deeds.   The bare truth is   that the wealth, fame, richness, money earned will not follow till the end of life or end of the Kalpa. Therefore the Jeeva should not engage in immoral deeds which cannot provide happiness or peace in the Ihaloka/while living on the Earth and Paraloka/life after Earth.  The intellectuals live on the present, they do not waste time brooding over the past mistakes, make all the possible ways to correct them and becomes mindful not to repeat the same, or they do not get anxious about the future. The secret of happiness and success in life 1) the deities, parents, Sajjanas, Santh and Mahatmas get pleased with the virtuousness of a person 2) the relatives get pleased with the respect and sumptuous meals served 3) the intellectuals get pleased with the good-natured talks.  The natures of Mahatmas are beyond description 1) they consider the wealth, richness, fame, honor, possessions equivalent to Thrina/grass 2) They do not get over-excited about the sudden arrival of wealth or do not get anxious about the loss of wealth 3) They do consider the grace and disgrace, happiness and sorrow, with utmost serenity. The attachment to people, wealth, money, richness, possession, fame, family, children, and wife, causes grief and fear in its absence, therefore do not get over-attached to any of the material matters which has to meet destruction.  The grief and sorrow caused by the destruction of material things and the pain of separation from beloved people cannot get rid without the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva, changes are inevitable, all the material matters/Prakrithi has to undergo constant transformation and ruin, the Athman/soul are eternal has neither birth nor death. Therefore abandon the interest in worldly matters and bondage, and contemplate upon the supreme Lord who resides as a soul in the Jeeva.  The person who waits for the destiny to bring luck will not achieve success, meets destruction in no time, the person who foresees the dangers and prepares to fight against win the challenges, achieves victory over the evils, with the sharp knowledge and fearlessness, and ultimately enjoys the fruit of life. The eternal truth is “Yadha Raja Thadha Praja”, if the King is Dharmishta/has the sense of performing righteous deeds, the Praja/people of the Kingdom will follow the same. If the King has a moderate sense of belief in Dharmic rites, people also follow the same, if the king has no belief in Dharmic rites, the people of the country will become wicked and deceitful. Therefore the King should strictly follow the righteousness; otherwise the destruction of the Kingdom and its people is definite. The people who do not follow the Dharmic rites while living on the Earth is considered as burden ‘dead alive’/corpse. The righteousness performed by a person while living continues to stay on the Earth even after his/her death. The Jeeva who do not strive to achieve any of these Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha while living on the Earth, considered their lives as meaningless, like the decorative added on the neck of a goat. The people who are swollen with envy are incapable, cannot achieve success or fame, burn themselves in the fire of greed in other’s achievements and success. These wicked natured people will not shine in their lives; look out every opportunity to defame others.”
