Jai Sriman Narayana !!
|| Om Sri Kamakshyai Nama: ||
In this
verse Mookakavi describes the glories of the lotus feet of Goddess Sri Kamakshi,
which has the luster of fresh alluring flowers in the garden of Lord Indra, radiance
of Lord Aditya in the early hours of dawn and the sheen of bunch of Hibiscus
flowers. I shall meditate upon the lotus feet of
Goddess Sri Kamakshi, who is the preceptor to swan to teach their way of
walking, she protects the suffering people like the wish fulfilling tree/Kalpavruksha,
she is the destroyer of darkness like ignorance in her devotees. Her glorious lotus feet has the resemblance
to the auspicious Sindhooram on the forehead of the female deities, it has the
resemblance to the sunlight during the early day break which blossom the
flowers like poets meditate upon her lotus feet to attain eternal wisdom, it
has the resemblance to the crimson colored garment which cover the bosom of Veda like young maiden. I meditate upon
the lotus feet of Goddess Sri Kamakshi,
Lord Parameshwara who adorned the crescent moon on his matted hair lock prostrate
before her when arguments arises between amorous sport with his consort, that
crescent moon gains the vividness from her lustrous lotus feet. You are wise associate of Lord Parameshwara
who won over the cities of Thripura, he prostrate with smiling face before your
lotus feet adorned in marvelous anklets which creates magnificent sound. Your lotus feet reveals splendid luster
through the beautiful hair locks of the female deities while they prostrate
before you, it has the brilliance of Lord Aditya during the day break. The
virtuous meditate and envision your lotus feet that has Trigunas and they are easily
attainable to the pious, she has beautiful gait of a swan and it is surprising that your lotus
feet is attainable for the less intellectuals too.
